This still needs adequate testing I think. However I would go Sapphire as a cleric simply because it also benefits heals where as alabaster would only help attacks, if it helps at all.

At level 65 using a TT60+1 sword 50 extra magic results in roughly 300 more MAtk; Cure lv7 has a 24% MAtk +375 heal rate.
