  • Unfortunately, you have to do it. You should have 42 kills by the time you get up to the emperor. If you kill the first boss in the room he starts in instead of dragging it outside you'll save some time as you can just exit through the rooms where there are loads of super-weak mobs which will boost your kill count no end =)
  • I think it's clerics that macro the most (wellspring, ironheart, wellspring, ironheart... =P) I certainly marco on mine! I also macro on my barb occasionally, but I'm normally watching the screen and only macroing to save my mouse. Tabbing out while tanking is pretty lame, in my experience most barbs don't do it. Of all…
  • Frighten, like the Zeal genie earth flame skill, does not increase your threat level at all. It will get a mob's attention if there is nothing else attacking it but it will not help you get aggro back at all. It will stop your squishies getting battered when your mass aggro skills are on cooldown though!
  • We're actually losing jobs! To very very well geared fist BMs.. they basically tank everything at level 95+ Sure, barbs _can_ tank with them in squad, but it's just not productive reaming constantly to hold aggro. I pretty much set up a devour (pdef debuff) macro and resign to a support role on bosses, especially in…
  • You're really going to have to confirm this with someone from your server, but, on Lost City they go for 15-18m at the moment.
  • FYI, it's awesome in delta for barbs... I use it just after the archer sharptooths so all the mobs are following me as I try to pull them into the aoe area. Seems like it would be pretty dumb to not use it.
  • Chrono Pages for level 100 skills (not really that much of a concern for you yet, but soon you'll be after them!) They're drops and you're most likely to get them from world bosses, with around a 30% drop rate. They also drop from card bosses and from mobs in maps 2, 3 and 4 although the drop rate from mobs is rediculously…
  • I'll assume that you're demon, because with my full TT90 set at level 95 I was pushing 18k (all pieces refined to either +4 or +5)
  • I'm with Feral_Wrath here, Pan Gu's is my preference for cata-pulling. I feel that the 20% damage reduction is a far far better bonus than a 5% hp regen. The increase in attack from Gatherstorm is virtually pointless since, as we all know, the barb is doing negligible damage to the crystal / towers anyway. On top of that,…
  • Nuuu, I love being sage! I'm just playing devil's advocate and pointing out that I feel demon roar is better for rebirth than sage roar =) You're right, I generally only use roar in rebirth or if I have a rambo squishy in another instance! The distinction isn't really a huge one (since the reflect damage wouldn't be that…
  • Level 95 onwards... basically the point where you can start equipping grade 12 gear and above. I only have one piece of event gear (so far) and I have almost exactly 20000hp in tiger form. I actually still have my TT90 equipped as well and it's not particularly well refined. I'm not really a cash shopper either, so it's…
  • With alpha male removing the veno brambles every time you use it anyway, it's a moot point =P
  • I'd much rather have the physical reflect so I'm at least damaging all mobs and therefore keeping their attention for a little longer. I've never ticked when near the cleric (before I got sage roar), so I'd much rather have the offensive capabilities of demon roar over my sage version =) As a side note, demon frighten can…
  • I have no idea what holy bluster is, but from all the skills I have, nothing gives me more mdef than the demon equivalent. You're possibly talking about sage roar, which is a 10 second 30% m.attack debuff on mobs in range. In rebirth this isn't really that important anyway since you'll be in BB range before using roar and…
  • A vit build demon barb would have no problem in rebirth delta. Although like Basingeth said, you'd have to be charmed, as would a sage barb. It's when you're rounding up the magic mobs that you really take a beating, and sage barbs get no extra mdef bonusses >.> Just 10% more hp in tiger form which isn't really that…
  • Demon or Sage? http://ecatomb.net/skillpwi.php It's a personal choice, look up the skill benefits for each and make up your own mind. Or, do a search on the forums for numerous troll-fests and high horsery.
  • From 90-99 I ran eden and/or brimstone (bh89s) unwined at least twice a week, I also did a bootload of frost runs over the last couple of months which involves lots and lots of mobs, my sunder and surf impact skills virtually never miss! I also grind alot in map 3 and have no problem hitting mobs. The fact is, bosses have…
  • This depends entirely on the build in my experience though a BM will almost always do more damage than me, even with axes, even when I have my str buff and they do not. When you start considering fist BMs it just goes right out of the window
  • At level 88, it's about the best helm you're going to get, almost entirely because of it's grade and the HP it gives from refinement. Forests wisdom is a little better it is also, however, double the price the last time I checked on Lost City (~40mil)
  • HP all the way. When you consider that the +1 / 2% def stones are a percentage of your gear's defence bonus, not your total defence they're not that awesome (i.e they are calculated before extra def from str and other % increase modifiers like you get from being in tiger form / cleric or BM buffs). However, they are…
  • Says the man with a pretty well refined set of event gear >.>
  • I chuckled when I saw the flesh ream missing comment! Maybe you're thinking about alacrity of the beast missing? I grind in tiger form all the time, max out sunder and surf impact and you can take on alot of physical mobs at once and probbaly won't need to pot (for hp) or use tree even. If you think it's slower... just get…
  • Max feral regeneration for sure and try to get the level 11 version when you go sage / demon. I went sage, so I get 10 mp regen from the passive skill as well and it's really helpful.
  • Just make sure you don't get into the habbit of using it on bosses, or there could be a whole load of angry people in the open seaseme rooms =D Ummm, using words like 'we' and our'... you are not 89 yet, so you are neither sage nor demon. Since you know so much though, please enlighten us all and tell us the name of the…
  • I farmed one and got the other with chips.. this seriously is the way people do it. Make friends with a high level archer and cleric, then taking down ancient evil isn't really that hard
  • You're right, especially now they're cheaper. I dismissed them when I was 8x and the molds were like 3-4m each =( The +attack stats on them are supprisingly high for the grade.
  • Only in my boots so far! If I ever get my hands on enough crystals to craft nirvana armor, I'll do my best to shard it with them as well.. it'll be a slow process though, I think they're back up to like 25m each since the anni packs have disappeared =(
  • I currently have 54 dex (at level 100) and I almost never miss bosses, their evasion is so so low that your accuracy is almost meaningless. I've never really been sold on misty rings either, 50% of a vit build barb's base accuracy is pretty low.. and the % accuracy stats do not stack with bloodbath so it's actually a…
  • Nothing to really worry about, as Shyachi said, just keep putting more into vit and just make sure you have enough str / dex to equip gear for your level
  • Hey Lunko, The +2 range on dragonhunt is kinda useful in very specific circumstances (as people above have said) but on the whole, other stats are much more useful. People who are using dragonhunt axes generailly have them because of their grade, which when refining means that they get pretty high base damage after +8 or…
