  • You reported this here in May of this year. They still have not fixed it. Big thanks for making this report because I ran into the same problem. b:pleased
  • Right now Dreamweaver is down. The Server Status says they are all up but I cannot logon no matter how many times I try. At first I thought it was perhaps from too many logons. Likely not. It's Noon here Central Standard Time.
  • Without having to change the entire board to suit your request, you can make some changes using your own computer. Right-Click your desktop and choose Personalize. Here you can change the size of and colors of fonts for your viewing pleasure. You can also try highlighting the text with your mouse (left-click and drag) to…
  • If this happens every time you try to log in, I'd suggest that you go to PWI Customer Support for help. This topic should have been posted in the Technical Support Forum.
  • It's your attitude that makes or breaks any game for you. PWI is not a game for morons. It has unheard of variety and complexity in every aspect. You can get great armor and weapons if you're willing to put in the effort in Twilight Temple (for example). Join a faction. I'm sure there's one out there that would be perfect…
  • I went to NightScream for the first time on a quest this past weekend. I must have picked a good time as there was no one there, except me and the mobs. However, all the mobs were higher levels than mine, no joke to a cleric. I had to get to a NPC in the middle of the main island, but there were mobs everywhere. I jumped…
  • The above respondent didn't read what you wrote. You did the quest, saw the elder but the change to your crafting level didn't go through properly. You can't make Level 2 items because it won't let you. I would put in a ticket on this to Customer Support in the Technical section. They will help you.
  • First, the sound problem in Windows 7 computers. You need to enable Stereo Mixing to use verbal chat and hear more than proscribed feeds. Stereo Mixing is disabled by default in Windows 7, no doubt to encourage you to listen through Windows Media Player. Do the following: 1. Click START > then open Control Panel, 2. Click…
  • Ever since the #564 patch I am unable to cancel a Teleport screen. I used to be able to <Escape> from a Teleport Map Screen, but it's not working anymore. Sometimes the costs of the teleport are too high. Seeing no way to cancel it I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del, open Task Manager and End Task the game. I am on Windows 7 x64.…
  • I ran through the entire chain starting from the Elder in my home city. The quests were surprisingly easy, considering the rewards granted. Very nice! Levelled up in a couple hours. Found a huge difference between the boss Tideborn Traitor (MP) and Tideborn Traitor (SP). You can do ONE only. The (MP) one is Level 150 with…
  • Nicely put! That's exactly how the Theory of Relativity works. b:chuckle
  • At first I found this tactic exceedingly annoying, until I realized that varying my attack patterns keeps the game on its toes - instead of it standing on mine. If you grind a lot, after awhile you'll settle into repeating the same method of attack. I've noticed the game adds a little extra bit of life to some mobs so you…
  • If you see Elderwood or Crane Herb or Elecampane: look around and you'll find Tuckahoe. It's skinny and kinda small so check well. Also you can check this list: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/mine_type/2865 Click on the names to get a map of their locations.
  • Huajen is at 618, 389 surrounded by level 70+ mobs. You need to be level 60+ to take the quest for that skill book as one of the three herbs you collect for it (worm sprouts) requires that level or higher. Guess I'll just have to wait.
  • Also, when you click on the mobs names, if the mob is in world (not in a dungeon -- you can get maps for those too) there's a world map at the bottom of its page with coordinates. You need to scroll down. (The info is there in the database but your search techniques may need improvement.) Not all links are underlined so do…
  • I credit my increased luck in making 2-star items for the tailoring test to this post here: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=5039612#post5039612 There's more good tips in that thread as well. I had made over 25 Wraith Robes (one at a time) before I read that post. I did one run as suggested, and got it on…
  • Still working on the Blacksmith's test. I may have discovered something about the odds of getting a 2-star item. If you have the first 1 or 2 items (of the 3) required in your inventory even the 5-at-a-time trick doesn't work. It's happened to me twice now. When I've put the items in the bank, then run the 5-at-a-time…
  • To be sure the info from Blacke is jaundiced at best for now he makes no sense. It's almost like he's saying, "What are you asking me for?" Anyways, I wanted to report that the make 5 (armors) at a time most certainly works. Wow! I setup to do 5 Wraith Robes and the very first one had 2-stars! Mission accomplished. Passed…
  • Thanks for the tips. After cooling off I've decided to keep at it. I already have 3-star armor and weapons (got mostly by pure fluke) and I'd like to do that with level 7 and up. I will try making 5 at a time -- good idea. Thanks for that. I've gotten chummy with Duke Blacke and yes he's a fount of info. Good place to look…
  • I'm not making any more armor, weapons, ornaments, etc their way. I'll buy it or find someone else to make it for me. It's just not worth all the extra money for mats. I like this game but I hate these processing "tests." At first I thought it would save money rather than buying armor and weapons, but it's a dead end. I'll…
  • I tried complaining about having to make multiple copies of one piece of armor to Customer Support and frankly I am not at all happy. Good suggestions above but I think this game asks for too heavy a cash outlay to be worth continued play. I've spent thousands of real dollars on other MMORPG games and I've never had this…
  • A lot of lower level quests are just thinly disguised grinding sessions. Kill 20, 25, 30, 35, or 50 of this or that. Real grinding of course involves the wholesale slaughter of hundreds of mobs. I make mine more enjoyable by using those training booster scrolls, harvesting herbs in the midst of adversity, and trying out…
  • Another way to do those wolves is to be Level 37. Kicked their butts! But I wanted to make a comment here about Kun Kun. I used Plume Shot on Kun Kun and killed it with 2 shots. Plume Shot is magic using a wand. Otherwise an excellent guide.
  • That's a good link. I'm up to date and okay. I've seen guys in nothing but their gitch, battling mobs. I would suggest that this is a coding dysfunction, and not due to various settings on users computers. It wasn't happening until after update 182.
  • Okie Dokie! Here you go: Please post a screenshot of your issue. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh139/FemSage/PWIFemSageAvie.jpg Let us know what race & gender you are. Elf Cleric - female Let us know what hairstyle you have if you know. (You can check your .ini file for the info.) ...unsure (see below). Tell us what…
  • You'd need a videoclip to show the hair going on and off. I know what you mean though. The girls may be losing their hair, but I've seen the guys clothes appearing and disappearing. It's very funny cuz they don't know it. Battling mobs in their gitch. b:laugh
  • Wish I'd read this before I tried refining my armor with my first mirage celestone. It failed, so I lost my stone. Made me mad enough to decide that celestones should be called sellastones! That's what I will do with them from now on. Must be other ways to kick/save butt. b:chuckle
  • Interesting. I have a habit of saving my download files, then scanning them with my security programs (including Spybot S&D) before I try opening them. Have found five trojans so far, popular ones. Granted there are malware authors who create undetectable software, but the vast majority are bad coders looking for a quick…
  • Best advice I've seen on this subject: http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-xp-support/119618-everything-i-download-gets-corrupted.html Check it out.
  • The Instant-On generation haven't gone thru Customs at the airport yet? b:laugh If you want a speedy download, do not use the auto-updater. Manually download it and the patches. Save it to your downloads folder first. Double-click it when you want to install and follow the instructions. I installed the game and all patches…
