Well, I divide tanking in two two areas, single's and hordes. If there are multiple mobs, I've found that a BM is much better with crowd control due to the amount of AoE's they possess, so you don't have to worry about the cleric getting hunted down. From the description of that link: Increases your Stealth skill by 15 levels. Stealth level = Character level + Stealth skill level If that's how it works, we're all doomed.

Best strategy? Don't fight em. Seriously though, I have no idea. There are just too many counters a psychic can come up with versus an archer. You'd probably have to just kill them as fast as possible. If you catch us in black voodoo we go down pretty fast. Be extremely wary of soulburn though.

With decent gear and a low leveled magic marrow, you can actually achieve a healthy balance of both magical and physical defense.

As someone said earlier, the conversation is still about wizards. What about the other Arcane classes which don't have access to stone barrier?

Two things: 1. Magic is ranged. 2. Strong magic attacks (Things like a wizards BIDS or a cleric's Tempest) have more damage potential than most physical attacks/skills. At least that's the logic behind the game developer's decision, I think. I do think it is slightly unbalanced, in favor of melees.

Most people don't play them because they take a little skill to play. Personally, I don't think they're really that difficult. I can definitely see how they could be hard for beginners though.

Sorry, but I just can't agree with that. Overall, a Psy is a DD. Gimping your damage defeats that purpose. Yes, there are situations where White Voodoo can come in handy, but with the magnitude by which it reduces your attack it is not efficient for anything other than the DoT's. Just space out your attacks like archers…

Is the game better? In some ways yes, in some ways no. Try it for yourself to see if it's worth playing still. I sure wish I could play right now, but my freakin garbage ISP has the crappiest ping rates known to man...(I'm talking like, 2000+ ms) BH's are sooo easy to do with a party tho....
