Personally, I've noticed that my skills are affected just as they should be by sparking. Lifehunter takes the base damage shown in your character window, adds 11.7k to it, and divides it by two for each hit. At 40k sparked, that means each tick of lifehunter is only doing ~26k. Cursed jail and elimination divide the damage…

How about a free +10 orb for every hour the servers remain down as compensation? b:victory

I usually open with elimination and then continue with a life hunter macro until elimination is ready again then rinse/repeat. Cursed jail can be added wherever but even as a sage, I often don't use it against bosses unless I want to substitute elimination when unsparked since my base unsparked damage is only ~10k. Life…

The cooldown also gets reduced to 8 seconds so it becomes another chi button.

Elimination + lifehunter is scary but manageable. Double/triple sparked elimination + lifehunter is GG though. They don't do as much DPH as our old skills but the DPS output is super high. Throw in the skill damage boost and cotd and it becomes rather lethal. Two shotting seems rather unlikely on someone with 95% pdef…

Lol, the set bonus of six cards is called five. xD Talk about OP though. Forget fighting someone with that set. It's all about how fast you can town portal. b:surrender

Dunno about the new bosses but for holeen, it may just be that the distance you attack him from is further away than the aoe range of subsea. If you shadow jump to him and then subsea it should work. Not sure if they changed it recently but I remember using that trick before the rebirth expansion to amp him.

I missed this on my first read through but that is pretty interesting. I wonder what the max range is on this effect? If the range ends up being large enough, it could offset some of the issue of it proccing purify since the caster has to run for longer to avoid the hits. That and the ability to go through most damage…

On rt, it seems to have gone up at a steady 18% per day for final phase.
-
I think I get what you are saying. The skill adds up the total damage in one big pool and then takes portions of it that vary a bit to arrive at the amounts. Maybe I could test it by using triple spark and timing elimination so that it wears off on the 2nd or 3rd hit? I could also swap from npc to G15 nirvy with no attack…

Good catch on the static damage! I did that as a cheat to only have to input the wep damage and static damage for lifehunter and only have to input 50% base damage to get the damage of one hit. I'll change it so it doesn't confuse people! Your paper was rather informative! Mistake 2 doesn't seem to be a mistake as far as…

I made a spreadsheet to compare elimination and cursed jail. It will tell you what value for weapon damage(wep, rings, cards, etc...) and dex you'll need to make the two skills do equal damage. You can verify its accuracy by plugging in values for lv. 11 earthen rift and lv. 11 headhunt and you should come up with 2430 and…

You should get your nose out of pwcalc and use some basic logic for once. I'd hardly call any of these damage calcs real math, it's just plug and chug with next to no real thinking involved. I pulled numbers from my behind because I felt like what I was saying was rather obvious given what is available ingame and that…

Elimination does 3.2x your base damage not 3.2x weapon damage. I'll flesh out my calculations more though. xD Assume an endgame sin with 20k base phys damage. Elimination does 20k*3.2=64k Lets be liberal and assume that same sin has 3k for wep damage. Cursed jail does (7.5*3,000) + 14,994 + 20,000 = 57,494 The more OP sins…

Interesting! Strange how stone turtle doesn't block it but invoke does. I'd love to see a breakdown of each hit's damage using npc dags mostly to see how strong the final hit is. How much damage does the last hit do compared to your other skills?

They should update the graphics on the older classes first. It'd be hard to add anymore classes that offer something unique at this point. There is already quite a bit of overlap between classes so besides adding an arcane armor melee class or classes that use pikes/unreleased whips, I think they have covered about…

Absolutely love this skill. Makes any anti-aps boss or mob a breeze! Warsong pav soloing actually got easier after the revamp for me because I got this skill. xD
-
It seems to be similar to the headhunt/earthen rift balance. Assuming an endgame sin with ~20k base damage unsparked, elimination should do more damage than cursed jail would. Even assuming 3k wep damage, that is only 57,494 for cursed jail vs 64,000 for elimination. The gap grows even more with sparks because the 320%…

Personally, I think the total damage output is just too great to ignore even if it is spread out over five hits. I'd hesitate if it was more than five hits but it is still a good deal if it is just a beefed-up elimination. If you'd miss lv 11 headhunt for the zerk crits, Earthen rift hits harder on average than headhunt at…

I also have both and normal silences like SoS do nothing to stop the hits until the skill finishes. Interrupts from bosses still stop the hits as normal though in pve anyways.
-
Personally, I don't see nearly as much build discrimination compared to even a year ago. The community on RT is not nearly as negative towards my HA sin as it was in the nirvana days. I used to get comments all the time about my build failing because I wasn't 4.0 aps. These days, I just get questions and a bunch of duel…

Actually, the skill is broken up over two hits that do roughly equal damage. For my sin, it hits close to a sage rising dragon strike in DPH but it is probably only a bit stronger than a cotd autoattack on stronger sins. I set up infinite skill macros with it and use it for filler between cc in pvp and in flowsilver. It…

Even before aba and sot were revamped, I only saw those skills show up once or twice a month. It took me several months to buy them after the revamp for my sin and that was when only collectors were hunting for them.
-
Wow, that's actually pretty good! That could take a 2.86 unsparked sin back down to base aps, cut that same demon sparked sin's aps down to 2.0, or make an archer's auto slower than molasses. xD I'm happy that the sage hp debuff is now spammable though. EDIT: Lifehunter is two strikes as is stated in the sacred cauldron…
-
Has anyone gotten demon life hunter yet? I'm curious about the APS buff and whether the skill damage is done over one or two hits. I'll report back on the sage version tomorrow when I learn it if nobody posts by then. xD

Congrats on the swords! :D It seems like they would favor cycling the faster skills before nuking to keep gloom on.
-
There is no best combo for pve. Seekers are a very flexible class and have a lot of debuff and support skills that shine under certain situations. You have to be able to think and select your sword stance and combos based on what role you are filling in for the squad, what members are in your squad, and even debuffs from…

Strange, mine kept displaying the could not send error yesterday as well but none of my chars are new. Simply clearing browser data and unliking and reliking the pwi page a few times fixed it for me though.

Yes, thanks for picking out that silly goose! It is nice to see random events like that every now and then too. b:pleased

I only used 13 tienkang stones and 131 mirages to +6 two things Sunday night. Its all about luck. I haven't noticed significant changes in the costs since I began refining. Sometimes you spend more than the orb but most of the time its cheaper.
