From what I've gathered it people have found ways to abuse the codes, that is why they didn't want to send this one out as a code. Since they plan on selling the stones afterwords it's in their best interest to not have the codes abused.

I've been around for four years and worked in customer service, I had to learn to be patient with things like these. However the entitlement is causing some people to be rather salty about this. Not everything goes as expected and people are trying their hardest to fix it. People just dont seem to understand that.
