    Sadly enough if you kill Toad too fast, it goes back up to full HP again. It's the ultimate troll boss.

    I've never seen or heard of this happening honestly but if that's the case. then it wouldn't be too hard to stall a little bit before landing the coup de grace below 25% of its HP, no?

    It'll likely be restricted if its a new weapon type. I'm curious about the blade weapons the LA class will be using. If they're not daggers, then does that mean they'll have to use existing swords/dual swords, ect and adjust their strength and dex stat allocation accordingly?

    Welp, that's a bit of a disappointment.

    Even so, I don't really see the new races as being as vehemently anti-archer as people are claiming. Their defenses don't really affect us more than everyone else (see my earlier post).

    Are we getting anything to help offset years of being left in the dust? Well, no, not really, but none of the other existing classes are getting revamps either. What did you expect?

    There is a fairly simple solution to the cat shops. Just level them to 20. Problem solved.

    Something I'm curious about. Since all DQ items are going to 1 coin each. Will they remove the earning time?

    I doubt it. China has their issues and because of that, earning time is likely here to stay.

    What are you talking about? We've always had an 8 character per account availability. And that wasn't expanded to 10 for us when earthguard came out.

    Ok so, I thought they were going to use the new Shadow Legend III graphics engine, but the screenshots tell me otherwise.

    Also, I thought there will be changes to the skills of current classes, I don't see anything regarding that?

    Here's the thing...

    "Shadow Legend III" is just the latest Angelica engine. Wanmei doesn't own any other in-house engines besides Angelica, and they bought the right to that specific engine wayyyy back in 03 or 04? This graphics update, or "new game" (I think it's fairly comical that they are calling it Perfect World 2), isn't really a graphics update. Most of the game will render the same and be untouched. Furthermore, the new areas are about the same in terms of graphics as Morai, Primal, and all EG lands.

    There was a video I saw earlier by Mel, who showed off Arch and how it looks identical to the current Arch we have in our version. This means that pretty much nothing significant was changed in the older areas of the game.

    The new area(s) introduced (including the new race) look great, but there isn't much of a change in the overall graphics department. I'm sure the client still runs like garbage, too. By "garbage", I'm referring to memory leaks making it hit 1.5-2GB of RAM, bug reports/crashes all the time, and rendering via CPU more than GPU resulting in poor FPS even on high-end gaming rigs. No multi-threading, no multi-core support, and poor optimization for newer PCs.

    It's unfortunate, but Wanmei wants to keep the game engine rather outdated instead of overhauling it entirely.

    Yeah, I know. I just find it funny that Wanmei insists this is the second iteration of the second version of PW.

    We've been playing Perfect World 2 (aka w2i) since PWI existed. Perfect World 1 still exists as a subscription based game over in China.

    I don't see how that's relevant here. We're not calling it that, Wanmei is.
    And its not that hard to connect the dots from this version to why they call this expansion PW2.
    This is the 1st f2p version of PW, which as far as I know, they have not called PWII for a very long time, if ever. Which even if they had, this expansion is big enough that they consider it v2 of the f2p - making it PW2.
