If he released a date, people would count on it. If it didn't pan out, they'd be reasonably upset they'd been misled. There is nothing unclear about that. It is deliberately not stated, and the why is given. It may not be the answer you want to hear, but at this point there is no exact eta, so prepare accordingly.
I don't see why that's hard to understand. I don't know why you insist on him making a promise he may not be able to keep atm. That's pointless. I'd rather they be honest and be like "IDK and I don't want to mislead you," instead of saying it'll happen on May 24th and then I count on that, and a week later it isn't there. Get some charms now while you can and wait it out is the best advice anyone give you at the moment.
And saying you're not saying it will be a 7 month time frame, while constantly referencing the DQ situation atm is disingenuous. You know exactly what kind of picture you're painting by doing that. These are different situations. One involves creating a new system from scratch that will work well with software that still isn't fully out of beta and will be sustainable in the future. The other is simply adding an item to a boutique. The complexity of the tasks are very different. I'd be very surprised if this took as long as that has been taking. Although I will agree it has been taking way too long and we should've at least been given more information about it. That's getting ridiculous.
That doesn't change the fact that this is a totally different type of situation, as it's just adding an item to the boutique. Especially since the temporary fix for this came very quickly, and on this particular issue the track record is a good one.
You're not likely to get an end date before Tuesday at any rate, as Monday is a holiday and it's the weekend now.0 -

this is my entire point, multiple people in this thread have assumed he meant we will get them perma on the 30th/31st, sparkie's language was ambiguous enough( i.e not "clear info") where some people have understood it as such. they may not be prepared for the likely few days/week or two that it will take and theyll qq or be burned by it

wouldnt it have been gentlemanly to clearly state it may not be immediate and to plan accordingly (i.e. bank/stash some charms)- you stated this (good job) he did not
for these very reasons im betting if the change with temp/perma is not at the same time there will be a multitude of QQ threads to lock for the mods...many of which could have been prevented if sparkie made a much more clear statement0 -

Expensive gold charms are icing on the cake - I doubt they'll be very popular since you can get 5 silver charms for the price of one gold one in the event boutique, but as long as we got the silver charms, us small guys who rely on the event boutique for charms like that will be happy. Big thumbs up from my end.
I also like that Earthguard and Tideborn faster fliers were added into the mix. Those were missing for a long time.I'm so P.R.O... I Press Respawn Often.

A slight question, will the fashion and fliers also be removed what about the dyes from the event boutique? I know long ago when the event boutique was first out we had event dyes but they were removed. So will these be removed as well again or no? The fashion is great and I love it but is it going to be perm? I heard they used china's template for ours so I don't know if we are keeping the fashion,the fliers, dyes, and gold charms a lil info on this part would be nice thanks. As for the quick fix thanks sparkie!

Can we get the DQ reward stystem back with new/better items in it to pick from please. That stystem was great it just needed new items added to it and some removed. It would be Awesome if we could get that back.0

It's funny that to remove the Event Charms it isn't necessary to have maintenance but to put them back it is.... and with this i say everything b:chuckle0

In fact, they were removed during a maint, and were returned without one, the very opposite of what you just said.
Changes to the boutique don't need to be done during maint for the most part, sometimes they are done at the same time for the sake of convenience. This has always been the case.

really disappointed that i spent gold to get event gold and then get denied the ONLY thing i use from event gold. false advertising? or just typical of PWE0 -

there was no need for maintenance (not to mention a f'ing new build) to take out the charms, why do they even need a f'ing new build (not maintenence) to bring it back

The items have always been removed/added through a maintenance. The reason you see them pop-up at times when there is no maintenance, is because they were set to go up sometime during that week, through the maintenance prior. So in other words, yes we need a maintenance to add/remove them.
From what I've been told, they were removed to help with the in-game economy and that they will be put back in once that is more stable. I've already made my PM aware, so when he gives me more information, I'll let you all know.0 -

For the first time in a long while, I don't think I can find a reaction image to express exactly how I feel about this statement. This will have to do.
How, just.....HOW does removing Event Charms "help" the already severely inflated economy? What do they deem to have made things so much more "unstable" that they ought to specifically remove those? What changed to warrant this? All we've been told about this is that things will be brought back to order when things are more "stable" (a.k.a: "Soon") but there are no specifics behind such a decision so long after its been made?
