Regarding Refinement Aid and Charms in the Event Gold Shop

As you may all know, these items can only be used on bound gear, which is a problem. The problem stems from items that aren't officially account bound, but cannot be moved/traded/etc, thus acting like they are account bound. Because of this, you would need to purchase a bind scroll, which makes it pretty redundant.

I've spent the majority of the day trying to figure out what exactly this issue was, and with the help of the mods, we finally figured it out.

So what happened?

We've been pushing for this event gold boutique change for awhile, and because of that some mistakes were made. It just so happens that China used their own template for their version in their game, in our game. What happened was the item codes ended up getting jumbled, resulting in our refine aids being switched out with their refine aids. (item codes that is) Things happen, but China is being extremely helpful in getting this fixed for us.

Mistakes happen, and we've already made them aware. We are fixing it as fast as we can and I will provide you with further updates as I get them. In the meantime, hold off on buying the current refine aids, until they are replaced by the old ones.

As for Silver Charms, I am still working on the specifics for that. They are however not gone, they are just not in the event boutique at the moment.

    It will stay until you buy me a fully upgraded seraphic mist. Then they'll change the amounts needed to upgrade wings so that it becomes much cheaper. b:chuckle

    Can you be more clear regarding silver charms in event boutique?
    No one thinks they are gone, obviously they are still in the cash shop. The problem is that that they aren't in the event boutique. No one cares about silver charms in the real cash shop, if people are to buy charms from the cs, they just buy plats.
    We care about the silver charms that can be obtained from event gold. I would consider it a major slap in the face if their removal was intentional.
    So can you please be more clear on that and where that issue stands.

    Thanks sparkie, hopefully the charms are put back in. A lot of people used their charge rewards for event gold so they'd have charms for the future.

    Although pwe doesn't draw revenue directly from event gold charms, these free charms give players the incentive to participate in TW/NW and pvp related events, which in turn make players want to get better geared. The competitiveness and want to enhance gears to excel in the aforementioned events is what pwe gains revenue on. It would be disappointing for people to longer want to participate due to charms being removed.

    So he means they aren't gone from the event boutique forever. It's only in this moment that they are gone from the event boutique. As in temporary. How, when, or in what capacity or price point they will return has not been made clear, but atm the plan is still for them to be in the event boutique again at some point. There are still working on all the details.

    I have spent 5 years in the game and a lot of RL money. I have worked hard and saved a lot of event gold from charge rewards/ spend rewards etc, so that i could have silver charms to use. If this is not brought back ASAP PWI will lose me, and im guessing a huge amount of other people as well.

    Thanks for the update Sparkie, I'm glad that someone is doing something about this!

    What I still don't understand though is why there needed to be an update to the event boutique at all, considering that we can't even get DQ points anymore.

    Shouldn't our GM's be able to add/remove items to the boutique a la flash sales? We've had items on sale (+11/12 orbs) that are removed after only a few days. Maybe I don't know, but this seems like an item removal that /should/ be easy to resolve. Does something like this really require that much work?

    Thats good to hear but you all should be aware that the main issue are the charms. THAT is what will lead to massive waves of player leaving and increasing PvP-inactivity. Sure great with the refines and all but there always has been a workaround (binding charms) so you could have used it on everything. Its not perfect sure...but its a workaround...zr to pvp with those friggin bronze charms with 40k HP+...

    Ppl actually never have been that much into PvP (especially on PvE servers) but its going to be more and more nonexisting.

    Ignore the friggin refine and focus on the charms. Thats what I'm practically trying to say xD (thats coming from someone who refined several full g16 Lunar sets to plus 7/8 with those stones...)

    There are some players i see in nw, after being killed they spawn. Their health does not move. With these charms gone, i will be seeing lots of these players around. It doesn't matter if i have r9 3rd cast +10 gear with 28k hp. If i have only 1~2k hp, even a tt, g16 person could kill me with auto attacks.
