cool thank you ,i got it going again i did the same but then i had to close the whole pwi program and then start it up again via Arc then i saw it worked so just try that make your character in the number file you want to do female to male hair and vis versa then cancel out of pwi and boom should be done lol ( it worked for me not sure if it will work for you) Good luck guys =Df:grin

Don't use "save as" just close notepad and click yes or press Ctrl + S.

Make sure the file isn't read only. That seems to be an issue many have.

That's generally a tech support issue which I admit is not my expertise. The best I can offer you is what was the advice this thread , as both are because of problems with the read-only state of the folder. You may need to be the administrator of the PC to make the changes. Beyond that, you'll need to post in tech support.b:surrender

You gotta find the folder the game is installed in and change the properties.

Do you have the client running while you do this?

It's best to not have it running as Windows tends to dislike altering files that are being used.

It cannot be done on an already existing char, you need to do it on a char that is not created yet.

i mean when i make a new char it wnt put the hair on the veno

^ for the male hair on female don't enter into customize, select the veno class in the character file.

I can be wrong, but I think you change it in customize beside charater, cause all the other ini need to be done in customize

Oh so it can be done? an i know where to go but i put #10 TB male hair into the veno (hair) part and i saved it n nothing happened? I saw this one veno girl in arch n she has #10 TBmale hair n i asked how she got it like that but was afk. .-.

That might work for male to female hair. I haven't tried as I have been too busy to update the guide this winter.

I'm running Win8.1 and it works fine for me.

Some things to check:
-Are you on an administrator account and/or have UAC disabled?
-Is the folder/file read only?
-When checking the above, go to the security tab and see if you have permissions set that allow you to modify and write to that folder/file.


Odds are one of the above 3 is your issue and that would prevent you from saving the file within the folder. You could always copy the file to another folder, modify it there, give it a new name, and paste to the original folder as a workaround... but directly altering the folder via making sure you have full permissions and it isn't read-only will be the easiest way to deal with this in the long run.

But I geuss ill look it up on google. :P lol hope I find some info

You can't use male hair on females on existing toons.

Try this for a new toon.

I am experiencing this exact same thing!!! b:cry I had PWI installed on my game since 2008 which I having been using all the time until we had to download Arc. I downloaded Arc, then it wanted me to REDOWNLOAD PWI...so I did...and NOW...I cannot pull up any of my old ini files in game when i go to the makeover scroll to redo them. I went ahead and did used a makeover scroll and saved my new design IN game, but it did NOT save it to my computer's ini files area at all!! I love designing new looks on this game that was one of the main attractions to this game!! This has really gotten me upset. So yes I can totally relate to Aqualine! If anyone knows what the heck is going on or lend some insite, please b:cry, let me, and the rest of the community know!! Thanks in advance!! b:surrenderb:sad
