    b:shocked Were veno pets ever supposed to out DD the veno itself? I don't get this notion that something that was designed to supplement and support the veno's DD was supposed to ever be considered the veno's primary DD output. I mean, a mob/boss is always supposed to aggro that which is dealing it the most damage regardless of source be it another class or a veno and her pet. I sure as hell wouldn't wan't my pets out DD'ing me with my 300K+ crits and all

    With that said some pets have special skills available to steal aggro but it will not hold aggro unless it's dealing the most DD. So if you truly want your herc to keep aggro away from you then never upgrade to a weapon higher than a lvl 30 sword.

    At low levels, pets can easily keep aggro off you because the damage you deal will not generate as much aggro as the skills it uses. As you level up the relative balance of aggro generated by the veno and her pet gradually tips toward the veno, with the veno eventually reaching the point where she will always pull aggro off the pet. This can be compensated for by a few things: upgrading the attack skills of the pet, delaying attacking until the pet has used its primary attack skill a few times, and interspersing attacks and heals.

    Val,

    Just wanted to verify this statement. You said that we will not have server vs server PVP, however on the official Rising Call page (http://pwi.perfectworld.com/risingcall), it's there

    While it's true veno and pet skills have an affect on aggro I was able to steal aggro from my pets, herc too, at every level since I got them. And considering that being a veno my DD isn't as much as other classes because we have pets to supplement our DD the other classes were able to steal aggro from it easier than I did.

    Most other classes fail to realize that a herc is not a barb and shouldn't be treated like one. When I escort 7x+ chars through HH (TT for those who can't stand I call that instance HH) and FBs they even steal aggro from my 101 herc despite of all my warnings about out DDing the herc.

    By the way my pet's attack skills were at max level that the pet was able to have so that was never a reason I stole aggro.

    I will not comment further as this is completely off the topic of this thread.

    What is relevant though is how the new pet skills and the evolution and pet 'personalities' are going to deal with the pet getting and holding aggro.

    oki n00b question - about that new NW map(maps?)
    is it a new inst completely separated from the old NW map? if yes I assume it will have a different schedule than normal NW yes? or the old NW map has now 3 categories of lands with different maps?

    No new schedule and they are simply replacing our current large map with a larger one. And instead of only capture the flag, we're getting two other types.

    No. They never made it beyond the test servers in China. Thankfully.

    This has been asked and answered at least 3 times in this thread. NO. The +3 defense shard never made it out of beta testing. And no +3 attack shards. In fact with the all the +X attack add on stats why would we need +3 attack shards anyway.

    Okay so this new NPC appeared in Archosaur called Keeper of Names. Its use is to change your characters name. IS this NPC an accidental add from maint or will it be used after the update with the Identity Stone coming into the boutique? Not sure if anyone else on the other servers has this same NPC or not but its here on the HT server.

    Also with this new Crystal Instance in Nation War, I assume sins or archers wont be able to stealth capture a crystal or standing there in stealth wont affect the crystal's attacker or defender status.

    I got a good idea, unfix the "fix" you guys put on Psychic's Soulforce based skills. There was nothing wrong with 8k+ Soul Burn dmg per tick. People should know how to not die from it. You crippled us psychics..... b:cry

    in that case take all the anti aps and detection pots away lol

    One question only will the old veno pets be farmable as of this expansion..
    Such as the nix feathers dropping from the nix boss in FCC
    And source of force/box feathers be added to nation war rewards?
    Cause these pets be mighty aff expensive.

    So according to Val there won't be cross server NW, but from what i read somewhere the size of map is increasing (more lands), On Sanctuary at an average there are 180-200 people per nation right now (including alts) the current map is big enough as it is why the hell is the new map getting more lands?

    this is just stupid, NW was a fun event with decent fights now all u'll get is empty battles 90% time.

    how will these 2 new battlefields occur?
    random once the battle started?
    specific lands have specific types of battlefields?
    do these new battlemaps offer the same credit cap?

    for example in a 40 vs 40 if the credit cap is the same....the credits may be distributed too thin....making that land not worth playing in charm cost/credits achievable balance.

    for example a 20 vs 5 gets lets say gets 3k each for those 5 players if they win. if those 5 players get into a 40 vs 5....those 3k won't be that "encouraging" to support the cost of 40 players attacking. or the other way arround ...if those 40 win...the last 10 ppl will get **** credits no matter what difficulty that land had.

    For individual battles the total worth of the battle is determined by the strength of the opponents and the length of time of the battle. The max value of a battle is 24750.

    I get what your saying and if they make them like the genies then i guess i would understand but if they make them like genies they would be for all races and veno's would have no use. . . . .

    Actually it still does up to some extent. The new pets are getting bonuses from the venomancer's gear including a % of the ATTK LVLs and what not so they will become pretty strong; just not sure how strong against the top geared people. Obviously not much but the pets are generally getting various new and useful skills. Pets are more of a support anyway.

    They will certainly be pretty amazing in PvE DD wise though, methinks.
    Thanks for this i am personally a veno player and this helps loads now i just have to get the most powerful armor at my lvl. . . .

    Be advised that the evolution of pets is at lvl 100, so the inheritance of a veno's stats is after lvl 100.
