    Thanks for all the help Annor. I must say I was spoiled going with archer first and having a guide such as this. I have since started an alt and cannot find another guide comparable to Annors guide. I am going to need Annor to play all the other classes and make more guides, or else there is going to be several total noob characters running across PWI aimlessly.

    i'm an off pure build myself. 86 base str at lvl 92. i could have stayed at 82, but that would mean adding more str later on. HL is, annoyingly enough, filled with archers who claim they are pure, with just 105-117 str for teh helmet.(at lvl 80, that is) once i also had an excessively long conversation with someone who claimed adding 1 vit every 5 lvls on her archer made all the difference.

    I have 130+ points in DEX and I like it, I hit harder than my old archer, but i die much too easy still. Oh well, I have 17 points in STR, light armor is terrible, I have minimum points in STR from weapon, rest into DEX, best build eva

    I am troll, yes. a demon troll, and proud of it. I like this archer, maybe he will be a much better archer than my old one, though he does still die often b:cry

    i went pure thanks to Annor's guide. this is my second archer ive made, first i went hybrid and by level 35 i was getting tired of taking too long to kill mobs. i had invested in the wrong skills on top of that. made a second archer and im having a great time with it this time. i hardly die, unless i happen to over agro and questing is faster cause im killing faster. i would be a higer level by now except im leveling a cleric also so i keep switching between the 2. the 2x xp events are nice, dont have to do much CS or BH's as i always have quests and have yet to run out. usually doing quests 3-5 levels behind my current level.

    i just started again and im going with all 5 in dex though ill start needing str later on...whats a good ratio to mix str in? 4-1 seems a bit much :3

    Pure dex from day one..and whats up with all these people say they die to much???b:laugh come on i didnt use any armor till lvl 20 and sorry **** armor till i got 30 rank gear..now i can say with barb buff at my lvl i can break 6k hpb:victory

    i didnt see custom :( oh well i guess im a mix between pure and semi hybrid. just have enough str for my future deicides and most into dex other than the 30 something odd vit i placed back in my lower lvls

    Interval Bow/Fist Hybrid, enough str to equip fists ~10 lvl below.

    Selected Heavy Armor/ Mele in the poll though I cant equip HA armor

    will cap str when I can equip Gorenox Vanity (using +str equipment)

    Pure, but i added a point to vit instead of str now i need a reset note :(
    I quit. Nothing ever changes @ PWE or PW CN . Expansion was over hyped. Guild bases (that looked cool) can be destroyed, so why waste the time if your a in a small faction like me.

    b:lipcurl i dont really like those options...
    I mean I'm no where near being able to wear heavy armor but I currently hit 4.0 aps demon sparked with my gorenox vanitys I only need +5 strength from gear to wear and have almost as much hp as most bms... though some of that vits gotta go b:cry my crit rate is embarrassing

    This poll is a bit old fashioned as most end game archers these days have more str than required by light armor to use the tourney helm and/or 5.0 fist/claw.

    Really as long as you have the minimum str to use all of your equipment and the rest in dex I'd call that a pure build.

    I waas a pure, I think O_o. I think I had a pretty decent crit rate for my level (76), I remember it being around 26-27%? I cant remember what gears I had but they were good for sure.

    (With all the past tense stuff, I quit a few months back and dropped it all so yeah... stupid of me >:( )

    We can make a new poll. What builds should it include?

    - Classic Pure Dex - Enough Strength to wear latest Light Armor, not much more. Everything else in Dex.

    - Neo Pure Dex - Enough Strength to wear endgame helm / claws / fists, but not enough for Heavy Armor. Everything else in Dex.

    - Fragile Pure Dex - NOT enough Strength to wear latest Light Armor. Everything else in Dex. Since Rank gear is cheap (and have no Strength requirements), it's possibly doable to have a higher dex than Classic Pure Dex, but at the cost of wearing mediocre wrists / boots / helm.

    - Heavy Build - High enough Strength to wear Heavy Armor and/or use melee weapons, excluding claws / fists. Everything else in Dex.

    - Hybrid-Vit - Significant contribution to Vitality. 3-1-1 and 7-2-1 are popular Hybrid-Vit builds. Nothing in Magic.

    - Pretty Magical Archer - Significant contribution to Magic. If you put 15 points into Magic to have zero mana consumption for flight, you belong in here.

    Should there be another build for putting points in all 4 stats, or would that be lumped into Pretty Magical Archer?

    Also, what about the case where people swap gear? For example, you could have a Classic Pure Dex build, and swap a few ornaments and suddenly be Neo Pure Dex. Should there be a Multi-Build option? Or have another option called Neo-Classic Pure Dex?

    pure dex build. well, not so pure as absolute.

    i research my upcoming armor and weap str and dex reqs and setup my stats accordingly.

    for example. i strive to roll with leet only armor and weaps even in low lvls,

    i buy them in advance if i spot good deals, and know their upcoming str reqs

    so i set my stats as i go in preparation so when i hit the lvl req i'm ready wear it.

    then after i have my str set i dont touch it till i'm a few lvls from the next gears reqmts.
    everything else goes into dex, for 3-7 lvls.

    im only lvl 30, but the reason i do this is because ive found myself to have over the required str of the armor in other 1/4 builds. so far this seems to work the best for me.

    trying to build a nasty dex machine out of an archer is fun.

    i would be neo pure (or pure)? by those standards. i have 97 base str, but wear a 15 str tome to use my helm (getting luad eventually) and a 7 str ring to let me use gorenox vanity. i used to do the same with less str, but changing both rings got too tedious. right at the moment, i'm planning to work towards a 3 scholars tome to let me use nirvana fists, though i would need nirvana pants for this to actually work. i'm going (and i realize this might be a stupid idea) for berserk fists, since i figure it would be the best way to make up for my dmg deficit as a fist archer. My aps possibilities are large enough to reach 5aps without int on my weapon, so i plan to exploit that advantage to use a suicidal fist most bms would shy away from.

    However, back to the main point, i'm lvl 100, have less than 103 str, wich would make me fairly pure, but i can wear my helm wich would make me neo pure.

    i plan to restat some str into dex once i get my gear. asuming i get luad, i would need only 104 str without it to be able to equip my helm. i get max str from both my lunar cape and my lionheart belt, so i would be dropping to 89 base str at that point.

    I am using a Pure Dex and I am loving the damage thats being done. most creatures around my lvl cant get close enough to hit me because they die within a few feet of me. A good rule of thumb for Pure archers, as it has already been said, DEXTERITY DEXTERITY DEXTERITY!!!!!

    For the most part, I would say I have a pure build Assassin. I usually do the 1 str 4 dex, but other times I just do straight dex. When my sister get's a chance to play the game, she's going to be a Mystic. I want her to do her build 1 vit, 1 str, and 3 mag, or 1 str 4 mag once I get her some armor. Some variety of that. Told her not to bother with her dex.

    I guess in that case we're both going for pure builds?
