You missed my point entirely though. I never QQed about new players coming in and kicking me off my "pro" pedestal. I never said I was even on a pro pedestal in the first place. I said I was having fun TWing and pking people on equal terms. In other words, I died as much as I killed (or rather, got to live being a cleric). I QQed because PWE gave them the opportunity to use their credit card, and their credit card alone to instantly become better than someone who invested a year of hard work into getting their gear. I'm not speaking only about myself here, I'm speaking about everyone who was playing the game since day one.

You're the one that insists that player skill is actually a factor in this game. Had you actually been playing long as I (we) have, you'd know better. I gave you a case-in-point explanation as to how and why. You're simply to full of yourself to see a different point of view.

Actually no, i see alot of different views and yours is one of them. and as much as i totally understand your frustration it simply has no point and as i said, reeks of childish "it's not fair" mentallity...

Well exactly. Don't tell me you don't see anything wrong with that? The game was struggling since the introduction of those blasted anni packs. My former guild leader was the first person on the server (if not the game) to FARM a lunar ring. PWE releases anni packs the next day and suddenly 50% of the server has the same ring for charging $10. Needless to say, they quit and never looked back. You're going to tell me I'm QQing over an ice cream again. I'm trying to tell you that PWE finds new ways to kill any and all sense of achievement a person gets out of the game.

Rank 8 is doing the exact same thing, to more people, and on a bigger scale. But again you most likely can't see the bigger picture here since you've only been around for half a year. You didn't see the uproar anni packs brought, you didn't see the valentine day fiasco, you didn't witness DQ horses being put into the cash shop, you didn't have to level to 100 before hypers, oracle sales and triple BHs.

I would be HAPPY if PWE gave the new players a fair option to accomplish some of things us old timers struggled to get. Making rank 8 available for $50 is NOT the way to go about it. Re-read my previous post as to why it pisses off cash shoppers, non cash shoppers, pvp and pve players alike. It pisses off everyone who actually played this moronic game for the past year. Everyone busted their *** off in one way or another to accomplish something. Making better gear available to everyone for a mere fraction of the price (and cash shop only no less) is a really, really low blow on PWE's part.

I came to PWI from another mmo which was PvP only. You were free game to everyone after the first 30 mins you spent playing. I enjoyed the pvp part, I didn't enjoy the drama that came with it.

So I rolled a PvE server in hopes to still have my fun farming my gear and slowly leveling up in order to be able to wear my new gear. PWI, even on PvE servers, has TW every week, and gives the players an option to enter pk mode at will past level 30. If it adds to my fun to do those things, why would it matter to you?

I can ask you the same question now if i'm not PVPing or PKing at my end game? and try to show YOU, as fully convinced you are, there is more to this game than that.

No, not all all. Had you actually read my previous post, I said that people who aren't interested in pvp are affected by the rep sale as well. I've been blue named for a very long time. I stopped having fun with pk when it stopped being about farming higher level gear to stay on top and started being about who can charge more zen in order to get godly refines. My refines are still the way they were a year ago and that doesn't bother me one bit. I have my fun leveling alts and farming nirvana stuff just to look pretty.

Let's say for discussion's sake, Me and my husband rolled r8 or 9 for what ever purpose we might have, NEVER being interested in pvp or pk what so ever, never TWed but now along with a ****load of other PVE people roll that side and we say: "Hey, we'll join your faction for a TW to withstand the opposing side." Regardless of the fact we even know how TW worked and if you knew the opposing side had an army of R8 or R9.... would you say no ? i doubt it.

Doesn't change the fact pwe royally screwed over anyone who spent the last year getting tt99, rank8 and nirvana sets. Which again, is the majority of level 100+ on both PvE and especially PvP servers. PWE didn't shoot themselves in the foot with this one. They took a chainsaw and butchered PWI into a quadriplegic, Texas Chainsaw Massacre style.

I'm still working on my tt's... still working on getting a sh*tload of other stuff i want. which isn't r8or r9... i am telling you there is more to this than just that man.

PWI has been out for 2+ years now, and even finding someone in full Rank 8 is still very rare, let alone Rank 9. PWI is evolving. We realize that one of the major complaints about the Rising Tide expansion was that we were too focused on creating the new races and classes, and didn't create enough new content for the existing high level players. Let me assure you that this has been taken into account with the upcoming Genesis expansion. We are bringing in tons of new content which includes new end-game features that involve more guild and TW related mechanisms, along with a ton of other stuff.

In the past few weeks we've been spending a lot of time pooling and putting together lots of new information about this huge expansion, and we'll be releasing it to you in a very fun way next week.

There is a lot of exciting content on the horizon, and we hope that you'll continue to stick with us to enjoy everything that we have to offer.

See what's in red ? You think r8 and 9 is the end of it all.

I'm trying to make you see there is a 50/50 chance there will be something even more powerfull than that OR something that is up to par to withstand an r8 or 9er in the game with the next expansion, ALOT of you whiners are not waiting for. NEW end game content and your precious TW gets more features.

INSTEAD of now throwing a tantrum along the lines of "IT"S NOT FAIR!!! *cry cry cry ragr age rage*" stick it out.

cause didn't you say it yourself ? First it was TT, then it was Lunar, then it was FCC and now it's nirvana/r8 or9 that's endgame gear ?
trust me... as much as all the others were rendered less powerfull.. so will this r8 and 9 stuff.

Count 1 and 1 together, see the bigger picture instead of clinging to your assumptions that your efforts and end gear is useless because of a sale.
r8and9 cant be traded nor sold, as far as i am aware. wanna bet that the people who bought their R8 and/or 9 will be doing same you are now as soon as this new expansion with new content is released ?
Guess who will be able to get the new gear first ? Exactly, the peopl who didn't follow the masses, sat on their money and watched alot of people running around, screaming like little kids in fear of something that by the end of the next new expansion is rendered LESS usefull.
