Everyone has an opinion thats a good thing.
Debates are healthy thats also a good thing .
Whom ever gets picked wont be a favourite for every one thats to be exected.
Only time will tell if some one will make a good mod or not thats fact.
So although everyone has an opinion and likes to debate about it, only Time will tell who was right and who was wrong and only by the majority will it be proven to be right or wrong not by any small group of individuals who feel there opinion is the only one that matters.
Ohh and enough of the popularity contest agrument, I/we heard you the first time and ignored it and thats just your opinion not everyone elses.0 -

I am not the only one that has said this is a popularity contest, just look through the...oh, wait...*looks at server name*...nevermind, how can anyone not on Raging Tide be right? Fuzzy must be the best option, merely for that fact. It can't at all be a biased opinion on your part, hm?0 -

I don't feel so, and if you didn't notice, the candidate I voted for isn't even in the running. I am just saying that this could have possibly been better handled by frankie, rather than making it a popular vote that, as many have been stated, can be so easily swayed by a few people, multiple accounts, and a penchant toward one candidate or another. I never said that Fuzzy should not be the one picked, I merely am bringing into question the reasons people have voted for him.
Thanks! b:victory0 -
^^ Better said but, eh ._. Out of 1000 there could be more votes then this. add IP to voting system Frankie. :PVenomancers/Clerics rock![SIGPIC]http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs43/f/2009/110/1/5/Schrodinger_plz_by_McMonster_Ridgeback.gif[/SIGPIC]

Yikes...somehow this doesn't seem like the best way to do this.
You misunderstand.

Frankie believes that all 6 of the nominees are qualified to be moderators.
It is up to the community to choose who would be the best out of the choices.
*Note that they may or may not be truly qualified but Frankie believes them to be. Also please note that the qualifications to be a moderator of a human forum are quite low.*ThrasherXIII - Dreamweaver wrote: »I don't feel so, and if you didn't notice, the candidate I voted for isn't even in the running. Please don't bring in your emotions due to the system not being based solely on popular vote.

I didn't need my post "fixed" although you felt a need to insert something that just continues the same nasty undercurrent in this forum.
The whiners didn't want Frankie choosing someone they didn't "know". Frankie let anyone apply who wanted to. The list was pruned, now he's letting you choose instead of choosing one for you. Still whining continues.
The whiners just want to whine and the current topic to whine about is (fill in the blank).
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yes I am brand new to this community.
No, I am not new to forums.
Sorry, I wanted to get that out of the way. I noticed that this gaming community is very, stressed? as it may seem.
I do take forum modding seriously, and as I've noticed people talking, they say these forums have been far more than neglected?
So before making my vote I read all of the applications, and did a posting history search per cantidate. I feel that Dyskrasia would get the job done far more than the other catidates because she seems to have experiance and is very calm in most of her posts. She's (I should say she/he) is very helpful throgh community and makes... sense... for lack of a better word. While others seem more harsh, immature, or not very helpful in the least.
My two cents on the matter[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thank you so very much to the wonderful Dorset for my signature!
I haven't yet installed the game, but this community seems so lovely, I can hardly wait!0 -

A good moderator should:
- Have the computer skills necessary to handle forum-related tasks (Web skills, basic programming)
- Be patient to handle all sorts of requests
- Be level-headed to keep discussions and some petty squabbles in check.b:cool0 -

Eriion voted for Fuzzy cause Fuzzy is a good and fun guy. But Eriion is worried that Fuzzy goes berserk during one of his drunk nights ( which is like almost all nights lol ) and start banning people and closing threads b:shocked0

Seems many people disregard him as a mod because Fuzzy speaks in third person.
Mind just ending there ...
The reason we choose him is because of his good nature.
Hell dunno how he can handle the power of being a Mod just let him try. If it doesn't work out there is KrittyCat.Venomancers/Clerics rock![SIGPIC]http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs43/f/2009/110/1/5/Schrodinger_plz_by_McMonster_Ridgeback.gif[/SIGPIC]

The reason for the moderator application thread was the give the applicants, if little known at first, a chance to become known and state their piece (failing frankie just picking a known member). If you scroll through this thread, you'll see there are plenty of uninformed people voting, or people who are voting for a reason that has nothing to do with modding ability.[/QUO
I scrolled through threads, I read the applications. I researched the applicants' posts. Just because you think voters are uninformed, doesn't make it the truth. Alot of people are informed, they just don't flood the forums with whining. This forum community is more than just everyday/all day posters who just want to see their name in print over and over. Some actually want to use these forums as a source of information for game play. Now it's seems it's just a social network for whiners and people who want to be a big fish in a little pond.
You said you would be happy with any of those named in the voting process to be a mod, why do you keep complaining that Frankie should just pick. What's the difference if he picked one of those or the community votes one. If one of those names is acceptable to you then how it's done is irrelevant.
Your opinion of modding ability is just that - opinion.
The whiners will never ever be happy with anything. If they were offered $100 in $10 bills, they would whine it wasn't $20 bills.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

*Moved thread*--> "The panda has moved your thread, me thinks is better suited for -X-"
b:chuckle
I think this forum needs a more friendly modding, mods are not supposed to be the bad guys, they're supposed to patrol the forums and make sure everything is being done according to the rules, and if you add a bit of humor and creativity, much better.
And I think people will recieve something like the above better than: "Flame and Shame, locked. Regards"
ijs.
I agree to this ^.^ and my two cents I was in Fuzzy's faction way back in the day (thinking Imfamy was still recruiting like lvl 60+ at the time lolz) Fuzzy was very respectful when we left considering it wasnt the faction for us. From what I have seen I vote Fuzzy 100% Good luck ^.^[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
