New Public Quest System

In the world of the Tideborn, you may encounter many interesting things. Among these, quests are one of the things that stand out. Players can feel the exhilaration and joy of gaming by achieving coin, items, or EXP rewards through quests. In the Perfect World there is something new to get excited about, public quests!

What is a Public Quest?

To put it simply, public quests are quests that are completed by all players. When you’re doing normal quests, you won't share the quest progress with others unless you are in a squad. The progress of a public quest is shared by everyone. That means, anyone doing the same quests will influence each others’ progress. Players might be cooperating, or they might be working against you. Together they help to push quest progress onward. Only in these public quests can a player really have the feeling of influencing the live world.

Contributions/Rewards

Public quests break the old way of acquiring and completing quests. A player can participate in the completion of the quest at any time. The rewards from Public Quests are distributed in a unique manner, and they are based on each player’s contribution. The more you have contributed to the quest, the higher grade reward you will get. For public quests, a ranking board will be displayed to let the player know their contribution, as well as ranks and rewards.

As you might have guessed, contribution means how much you have done in a quest. The contribution value is based on your monster kills, quest items collections, and damage inflicted to the boss, etc.

    great idea! about time somebody will do my quests for me b:laugh it will be a lag fest at first, like when genies were first rolled out, i couldnt even move in a moderately crowded area..

    That's from our devs, I didn't change it because I wasn't sure what they meant, preview maybe?

    Great, except for us clerics of course, that will be busy by healing all those ppl out there, what will we earn for keeping ppl alive, in a system like that, all i can see is moneyloss for us.

    sounds like fun. By the description given it sould like clerics will get the short end of the stick...I hope this is not the case.

    Agreed. Clerics are going to find little motivation to participate of our own free will.

    Seems like its definitely going to be very unbalanced and unfair to some classes (Clerics for sure) while others (DDs) reap all the benefits b:worried

    This sounds like fun! I can't wait to try this new style of questing. I hope the quests are huge with an interesting story line.b:victory
