    i had about 50 mag points at lvl 40+ so i bought(my firend bought me) a reset note. so now im on lvl 59 and i put 1 str 4 dex. but still i have something like 35 vit from before. my mag is 3 now. and if u add some +++status. u get +~10 dex, +~2 mag and +~3 vit ačlso i have +5 str that i dont need so i will not push str that much. can any high lvl arch tell me about barrage of arrows? i now i should keep it on lvl 1 cuz it drains mana but how do u use it if u are pure nad u don have a lot of mag. maybe the potions and charm sombining or?

    At level 1, Barrage of Arrows is not really used to deal lots of damage on a single. It's used as an Area of Effect attack, if for some reason you need to hit multiple targets.

    For example, you might be targetting all of the additional monsters around Farren Sereneti in FB39. You could use Barrage against all of them until there is only 1 left. When there is 1 or 0 left, you can stop and resume using normal attacks on the boss.

    If you decide to join Rebirth, TW, or some other instances that requires high amounts of damage, then you should level Barrrage.

    kiyoshi is by no way vit build, but neither is he dex build. with equivalent gear hes probably less then 20 dex away from an absolute pure dex build. but with that trade off he got more hp, more phy resist, and i believe a 2% phy dmg reduction.
    500 dex is pretty much the max any archer should achieve. it is possible to push dex higher, but that would be trading overall better gear for mediocre gear that give extra stat points.

    i wonder if i should put 1 point on dex for every str cuz i want to use melee weapons when the enemy is close
    the loser fail nab cleric from dreamweaver who quit pwi, but still wanders the forums.

    being new to this game, what build would you suggest?
    im trying to decide between pure and hybrid.
    if possible can you give some perks to being a pure or hybrid?

    As to how they are described

    They have high Mag and low Vit
    with Str and Dex

    So yeah

    I feel left out

    So Arcane would go under Mixed.

    Do not talk down to people just because they made a small mistake; they don't need their literacy questioned or speculated upon, especially since Elena has proven to be much less arrogant and much smarter than you. It is a wonder that she does not rip apart your build right there. If you listened to any advice given to you at all, you would figure out by now that 3 magic per level will not let you wield a bow that is appropriate to your level as you level up. Plus, if you truly knew what you were talking about, you would not add 1 strength per level.

    Enjoy your moonlight bow at level 68, wearing arcane armor, with 36 extra strength doing nothing.

    and, i enjoy it very much so ;D

    i like having a little in each stat, especially vitality

    it helped me in 2 duels with a Human Wizard, where I won both times ;D

    i think, personally, to make a custom-tailored character is uplifting and vital

    that way, people know who you are through the character that you make

    Purists in my mind remind me of the Malfoy family from Harry Potter, in term alone.

    I can still hear Bellatrix Lestrange screaming, screeching even, like a harpish banshee... (that is the picture of a Purist in my mind :P)

    I do feel that Purists in my mind are muggles, since they have to pace themselves. Every guide for Purists I have come across, suggests pacing several skills; nonetheless, since most of them, they wouldn't otherwise, be able to use effectively.

    Archers are a damage dealing class.
    Pure archers deal so much damage that they can easily take aggro from even the best of tanks from the sheer amount of damage they deal.
    Those archers that have low enough dex to be unable to take aggro from a tank even when going all-out will never be able to deal as much damage as a pure archer even if said pure is holding back to control their damage output (and thus lower the aggro they generate).
    Archers are a damage dealing class.

    For my archer I weighed the Pros and Cons of being a pure aggro stealer, and being an actual useful addition to a party. I decided to settle with NOWHERE near a pure build, but instead add some vit, so when I DO steal aggro, which I will, I can tank the boss, or mob anyways. I have about 150 vit as an archer, and I can tank Krimson with Two Clerics, lets see any of you Pures do that... I did notice I was lacking in the DD department... So I've maxed all but two of my skills... got Sage Winged blessing, sage Bow mastery, Sage Barrage, Sage Take Aim, Sage Burning arrow, Sage thunderous blast, and Sage frost Arrow. Now I hit like a Pure archer, and I can handle the damage I get from having the aggro.. Soon gonna have 10k+ hp with Barb buff >:D

    i've tanked DoD, which hits just as hard, with 1 7x cleric when i was 8x in my **** +2 molds. the only diff is Krim has a debuff that any competent cleric can purify anyway. i can confidently say i can do Krim with 2 clerics lol.

    and don't think 9x pures have **** hp. the only difference 150 vit makes is about 2.3k more hp buffed, if you will have 10k hp buffed, some pure will have some 7.7k hp buffed with appropriate gear, that doesn't make their survivability vastly horrible.

    I did Krimson with 1 cleric back around level 92 or so. 7-2-1 Hybrid.

    I'm not insulting your build or disagreeing with your reasoning. I am just stating that tanking Krimson at level 99 with two clerics is not really a big accomplishment.

    I just recently switched to Pure DEX. It was well worth it. I was originally a Fisted Archer, using fists when enemies got too close. I don't need it anymore now that I'm level 57. No enemies get that close to me anymore! But it was useful in the early levels. Pure DEX all the way. I'm strictly a PVE player.
