Roll back poll.

Players create the prices for gold sell not GM's or bugs that you always say.
If you see 999k for each gold why you buy? You should let there untill expire.
It started from 150k and other players see that is buy 150k fast they put more 200k-250k-400k and so on.
The question if you see is that expensive why you buy and now you ask for roll back ?
The problem is that people were willing to pay 900k per gold because they could purchase boutique items and still vendor them for profit. That's the currently accepted theory as I understand it. That is an exploit of a glitch, plain and simple. If it turns out to be something different then different measures need to be taken, but if it is as it appears, then all of that coin needs to be removed from the system. People can say all day long that prices will return to normal in time but that is just ****. With an excess of money in the system prices will stay high because a larger number of people can afford them. Perhaps not as high as they are now but certainly higher than 24 hours ago. I have not yet read the specifics of the TOS but I am certain it is similar in most ways to every other MMORPG I have played, which means that anyone that abuses the system to gain an unfair advantage over other players can be subject to account suspension or removal. Even the boutique gold can, in theory, be removed without consequence because it is a virtual property and remains the property of PWI at all times. I doubt they will resort to measures that extreme since they are making money on it but it is probably an option. I think if nothing else they should roll the servers back to their pre-patch state and refund all Zen purchases made since then. People will have thier gold back, but will be unable to exploit the glitch for in-game coin. Personally I think that would cause a temporary decrease in gold cost at the AH, which works for me just fine.0 -
its impossible to roll back! its not an in game economy question, its real economie, I have buyed golds ! just for that reason. I do not without this.
PW have earned may money in small time.... gold can be refund, but they have money, maybe it's a self maid probleme...0 -

Not surprising since our GM's never do anything right anyway. There is never a GM on the Sanctuary server. Then they make events then ruin them right at the end. Not doing a rollback will cause more harm than good.0 -
I agree with u, its unfair for people like us who didnt exploit, but its just impossible to no rollback.. exploiters could have transfered money to their alt/other account/friends account <
cant be traced ----> unfair for other people---> rollback needed!0 -
b:angry It's not fair for those people who didn;t do anything wrong. I know most of the player's Earned their money in right way. Why not banned those people who trying to exploit instead?b:angry0

I did nothing wrong and I still want a rollback.0 -
a rollback is certainly very annoying at the very least for anyone who spent time in the game today grinding, buying items, crafting, etc, including me. however, due to the gold exploit, not rolling back will damage this game significantly more in the long run, as the game economy is now flooded with billions and billions of excess coins that should not be there. what this means is there will be inflation of all items in the neighborhood of 5x-10x their previous prices (based on most recent gold trading prices), meaning that any coins you currently have or will earn in the future weeks are now worth only 10% to 20% of what they used to. For non-cash players, imagine having to grind 5 to 10 times longer just to earn the same amount of coin value to buy the items and materials you want and need in the game. To avoid this mess, I am willing to trade my 15 hours or whatever of lost game time today, and I hope you are too...0

I believe that roll back is the easiest fix and those that dont want roll back are either Gready or Lazy or both.
Its better to fix the game and replay whats lost and stop gripping.
Its a game it can **** up we are Human remember0 -
Do I have to mention the Auction Hall was empty because exploiters were buying everything. All the TT materials were bought out. Pigments, rare pets. etc. This is not a stable economy.0
-
I almost gaurantee there wont be a rollback cuz nothing going to change in the game other than a few ppl made some ill gotten money. the economy will soon go back to normal becuz ppl buy zen and still have zen to sell. once the bug is fixed everything will soon be back as it was. and im sure everyone voting for a rollback are people who havent done much in the game recently. hopefully they can ban the people that exploited it. if not then it really isnt gonna hurt anyone that a few ppl made a buncha coins off this0

b:shocked i dont understad XD0

i vote no roll back and people just stop being greedy and go back to selling gold at regular prices and the tech team (whoever works on the game issues) checks out and fixes the cash shop items that can be sold for millions.I give a new definition the word "Purr" b:pleased

We are carefully looking at the situation with the in-game economy on all servers. You can be sure that when the servers come back up, the Etherblade Lake bug will be one of several fixes that will be put into place.
Rest assured that we are deeply concerned about all aspects of our servers, especially the health of their economies.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yeah see this is stupid, Arguing for not having a rollback only makes you look selfish.
FIRST A ROLLBACK WONT MAKE YOU LOSE STUFF YOU HAD BEFORE LAST MAINTENCE!!!!!!! AKA ANYTHING YOU HAD FROM YESTERDAY IS STILL THERE.
I was on right after the update. I started my catshop with 56 fruits, and over night (yeah left pc on) ALL of them sold. my friends did otherwise and sold their items as well.
When we found out that the game was glitched, we all agreed it should be rolled back, that we should lose the xp/items/whatever we had gained after the last maintenance.
Why? because it's for the good of the economy. We know the long term effects of such an inflated economy. If everyone or even a select 8% of the players on Heaven's Tear are made into instant millionaires (aka 50mil plus ppl) then EVERYTHING goes up. I'm talkin lvl 20 armor costing 500k or more. So while you who glitched wont be hurt by having to pay for such things like mats costing 30k each, We who didn't glitch would.
So if I have to lose my exp i earned today, the coins i gained from selling all night. Whatever, it can all be redone, fixing the economy can't and you're selfish or childish to oppose a rollback.
Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the good of all.
Not to mention, if a lvl 15newb earns 80 mil (which ONE SHOWED ME) in 3 hours time. how does it make the rest of us who work our asses off hustling and bustling for their coins, or grinding, or otherwise working hard for their coins look? I'll tell you. It makes them want to quit playing.0 -

Log everyone who does not want a rollback, ban them for abusing this problem and being greedy, rollback the servers. All is fixed.
****** smacks* stfu and gtfo.... I've still got my pathetic 150k, and I don't want a roll back, I want people (including myself) to suffer and learn from the mistake that was made... You wanna buy gold at 600k a pop, go for it, shortly after enough people buy it at that price, the price will raise more, they exploited a glitch... ok... Tell me one time that the real world has had a roll back when people, in this case, break the law, for their own profit, or for any matter. We just have to deal with what happened, and recover. And quite a few of said law breakers get away with it. It happens.0 -

Methuseleh - Lost City wrote: »My point is, its gonna fill right back up within a day or two
If there is no roll back, it will always be empty or filled with overpriced things. Those with more money will buy what they can and try to resell at even steeper prices until items cost huge amounts. This is how the economy will fall.0 -
THink of the XP, quest you have donne ! we cant rollback !0
-
Methuseleh - Lost City wrote: »My point is, its gonna fill right back up within a day or two
You missed his point.
Zach:
XP and Quest can all be made up in the same amount of time you put into the game since the patch. It's not that difficult.0 -

My thoughts exactly. It's unfair to those who didn't exploit. Sure the prices in AH for gold were set by players but those who actually bought the gold at those ridiculous prices are probably exploiters using the coins that weren't supposed to be in game anyway!Twilyte - Heavens Tear wrote: »So they go back and delete exploited gold. And what about the items already purchased from that ill-gotten gold like all the molders that exploiters bought up? And to gold dispersed to other characters and accounts that was made from selling boutique gold? And what about gold that was pooled into faction money holders or dispersed to members?
In other words, deleting the gold that was exploited isn't happening.
Here is a more sound solution: rollback to the server maintenance...fix the issue then re-open. Anyone who purchased Zen since the maintenance gets their gold back since they already spent money to get it (and many of them bought in order to take advantage of the inflated prices so now they will get stuck with the gold at normal selling prices - HAHA!)
The only thing "lost" then for players is time. Charms used during this time will revert back to pre-used time. It just means players will have to re-do less than a day's worth of playing. For some, that may seem unbearable (and those poor individuals need therapy if they are that "into" anything, let alone a video game), but the upside is the cheaters will not be able to keep their ill-gotten gains giving them an unfair advantage over those that didn't exploit.
If they didn't roll back, certain big guilds that participated will be able to outbid anyone they want in TW...buy tons of charms...get much better gear since anyone that looked at the AH can see the best mats and molds are gone. All of them! Most of what was left before server shut down was the fb19 molds. So imagine you weren't one of the exploiters and you ended up being attacked by a faction that did exploit. Talk about a huge disadvantage. It would be like going to a gun fight and you bringing a knife.
So really, would just deleting the expoited gold fix all of this?
NO.
I am thoroughly convinced that anyone who is against a rollback has either exploited, profitted indirectly by selling items at inflated prices to take advantage of others exploiting, or are just simply trying to qualify for the next Special Olympics."Jesus fricking christ on a pogo stick. Your a mass of fricking idiots I swear!"
