Carebear....ROFL!!

The reason i made this whole post was to make people aware that they always have a choice in life and that the stuff they do online has real life effects.
If they choose to act in the same old way then it is their own choice.
If even one person makes a positive change in them by reading my post then i guess the post has served it's purpose.
Sorry for the late reply i was gone for a while.0 -
If you don't have the time to read my whole post then just read this link while i provided in the middle of my posthttp://www.truthscape.com/html/ts_TheTruthScapeSoapboxIssue1WordsCanKill.htm

ZOMG!! U ARE A CAREBEAR
This is a response that many kind and caring people get these days is many games. Let it make it very clear to you all that the more human u are , the more kind and caring you will be. The more balanced your life, the more compassionate you will be.
As in most of the cases the ones who are making fun of the caring people are usually kids who everybody makes fun of at school. Now they are unable to stand up for themselves in most cases maybe they are too fat or too skinny etc etc. So they come online , start acting like they are some gangsters and spread this hate in the game because they are so filled with hate that they radiate it everywhere they go. So if someone is acting in a caring way they will make fun of them and in a way discourage that person from acting in a caring way the next time. They are not allowing others to give what they themselves have been denied in real life, kindness.
Now you will say this a game who cares ? Well let me tell you real people with real emotions play this game and if you do your best to upset them with your hate filled actions then maybe some of them will get upset.http://www.truthscape.com/html/ts_TheTruthScapeSoapboxIssue1WordsCanKill.htm
My advice to you will be do not discourage people who do acts to caring and kindness. If possible do them yourself. Acting like a gangster online will not make you a better person in real life.
You can continue to blame others for your actions or you can take control of the way you behave. Let me tell you that hate is such a thing that it will eat you up from inside. If you have a problem in real life then simply take action to solve it in real life instead of just filling the world with hate.
Every thing you do in your life is a choice. Fat people can do daily brisk walking for 1 hour and control their eating habits , food does not accidentally enters your mouth. Skinny kids can build up strength. If you feel no one loves you then you can start by giving out love to others and i can assure you love will love back to you. If You had a painful past you can always remember that the past is over and that you can shape your future by the choices u make in the present moment. If you are in any abusive relationship then you can stand up for yourself and find better alternatives.
You will always have a choice in life. I hope you start to make choices that make you a better person.
Even when no one else is watching , you still are.
CareBear always QQ. Most immature people are from carebear. Fews are from Hakari, Radiance Evolution at HeavenLost. Cowards above all. You're posting this mean you are one of those QQ Kids.0 -
Theres ways to avoid interacting with a idiot, ignore it and if they contiue file a ticket for harrassment then blacklist them. The girl COULD have gotten off but was to thick headed, for someone so low-selfesteemed she sure couldn't just give in and sign out. So all in all SHE could have done something but chose not to act n be immature, a sad story yes but she could have done something. The parents should be shot with a nail gun n have vodka/salt poured in the wounds while being hung by there toes, People like that disgust me which is why I use the blacklist to avoid having to deal with idiots.
FOR YOU SLOW ONES: 1. DID NOT FULLY BLAME THE GIRL, SAID IT WAS A FOOLISH CHOICE OF HER NOT LISTENING.
THERE, I also only post once and never come back. Bores me to much.I like when I say stuff that make kids go b:cryb:cryb:cryb:cry.

From my perspective, being called 'carebear' is a compliment, and something to be proud of. In a world (either in game, or in the real world outside) where far too many people would cut each other's throats for a chance at a slight advantage if they thought they could get away with it, having the integrity to stand up and help others when possible, and refuse to be baited into a violent response, is a demonstration of character that is sorely lacking.
It comes down to this: Which do you do if you see someone who is 'down'? Do you do the animalistic uncivilised ('PKer') thing that prevents humanity from advancing, by finishing him off and take his stuff? Or do you do the civilised and enlightened ('carebear') thing, helping him put himself back together again?
Personally, anyone who would choose the former is NOT someone I would be interested in knowing.
As for the question of why people think that being 'accused' of compassion, caring, support for others in need, a willingness to help others, and civilised behaviour in general would be an insult, that's one I can't fathom. Perhaps it's that it's taken as the insult it's intended to be, but I'm not capable of seeing the 'carebear' label as an insult; to me, it's a high compliment, and one that i'm quite proud to wear.0 -
The tone I got from xtrm9's post was hardly this "QQ" you speak of. I don't see how kindess equates to immaturity either, more or less hatred for no reason does.
Besides that, carebear and "QQ" has to be one of the most futile and weakest insults i've ever come across in an mmo. Carebear works against the insulter; but of course that person cares you drongo, hence as an insult, it fails. Epicly. 'At least I have a heart' is all I can say when some idiot thinks i'll
take offence to it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yes thier have been studies on how people act online and in real life and this is where your knowledge is flawed.People do act the same way they do irl as they would in game. They may hide it better irl cos well thier not moron's but given the opurtunity to commit a bad act and get away with it, they would not hesitate.

In game I am brave, loud, strong, a leader, and well not a very nice person sometimes. Sure I help almost everyone, but only those I LIKE . . . other times I can be down right mean and immature. I'm not afraid to admit it either. XD
IRL I am almost the exact opposite. I'm kind and giving of myself before others. I'm responsible, and most of all I am mature and act like the adult I am 90% of the time.
In game I'd rather not BE that all the time. Too much stress. Gwendolynne is a character in a game, and most everything I do on HT with her is simply my want to act out, act differently, and have some fun.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Who cares?? Seriously. I'll say this 1000 times, this is frickin game. If I want to play as an a-hole who doesnt give 2 craps, guess what, I will. It is supposed to be understood that anything that happens here is for he sake of gaming and roleplaying. PWI is not an extension of the real life OR the real world. We all make up personas and play to fight monsters, each other, etc etc. That being said, if the "warriors" (pk servers) want to call the guys in the pve servers carebears, who cares. It is a natural process, and while I said PW is not an extension of real life it does have parallels. Why do you think the Army calls the Air Force the "chair force". Why do you think normal people are referred to as helpless civilians? Its very fitting that ppl from a PvP server call PvE players carebears. Its jesting, please get over it.
If you let your emotions rule you in an online game you need to stop playing. That kind of behavior is a result of placing too much importance in a virtual environment. Perhaps you are spending too much time in PW, and not enough time in the real world. I should know, I went through a phase like that in guild wars. It is definitely not healthy, and you should really take a break if that is the case. This isn't meant to replace real life, nor take priority. Everyone you know doesn't exist exactly as you know them. Spend time with real friends, real family, and yes, real lovers. Peace.0 -

I disagree with pretty much every single letter in your post, and this rarely happens.
First of all, there is no artificial borderline between what you call "real life" and the "virtual world". You are a person and you have a particular personality and character. And now guess what - you don't become a different person when you sit down at a keyboard, you are still what you are. If you are an a-hole in real life, you tend to be an a-hole in online games and if you are a nice person in the real world, you tend to be a nice person in online games. Even the professional actors often have a hard time to play a person with a completely different personality than their own - and it's fairly safe to assume that the average online gamer is nowhere near able to do that. Yes I "roleplay" a healer in this game, and in real life that's not my profession. But it's a whole different thing to try playing another personality for any longer period of time and get away with it. In the end, the "it's just a game" phrase is in approximately 100% of all cases used by a-holes as a cheap excuse for them behaving like a-holes. "It's just a game" roughly translates to "I am being a complete jerk and treating you like a piece of **** just because I can and you can't do anything back to me because I am hiding behind my anonymous online persona. Haha, I am so cool!"
Honestly, if any, just a single one of those PK trash talkers are actually a nice person in real life, I'd be very genuinely surprised. I might as well believe in winning the lottery next week.
Those people behind the pixels are real, as real as they can get. No, you can't see them. You can't see people on a telephone either, and they are still real. If you toss offensive **** at a character in PvP, you are not offending pixels, you are offending a flesh and blood person. Might want to think about it.Shonindayo - Lost City wrote: »Why do you think the Army calls the Air Force the "chair force".
Because they are daft tards who don't seem to know that the guys in those planes are actually preventing enemy pilots to bomb them to kingdom come. I tell you a secret - an army wins or loses wars together, tanks, planes and ships all together. Wow, what a surprise!

Don't worry about me, I have such a super-low opinion of online trash talkers that I am really far far away from pointing a gun to my head because of them.
Other than that, the truth is indeed hidden in your post. Because in the end online insults don't matter, we tend not to take them or the people tossing them around for serious. So why doing it in the first place when it would be so much easier and better for everyone involved to just to be nice and show some sort of respect?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I really have to disagree with you about online character. Very few are exactly as they are online. I am the nicest person in the world, and most of the things I do or say online I would not say or do in real life. Being online gives you the capability of acting a certain persona without all the social consequences. Hence why online dating is a lot easier than dating IRL. Yes real ppl are behind the keyboard, and yes real feelings are there, but the point is that you are supposed to suspend those in an online realm and not take things so personally.
Really its a game of pretend. If we're playing "pretend" and im the villain that hates your guts, are you going to take that personally? No, and you know you shouldn't, because we are all pretending. You know that I am just playing a part, and you will play your part in return knowing full well that nothing we say is personal.
Basically, I totally disagree with you. Ppl get their feelings hurt when they forget this is just pretend.
I will say there are boundaries, because one has to recognize that there are many ppl that take this game way too seriously. Knowing this, one should keep their insults to a certain minimum so no one ends up committing suicide, which has sadly happened before in the gaming/online community.0 -
Shonindayo - Lost City wrote: »I am the nicest person in the world, and most of the things I do or say online I would not say or do in real life. Being online gives you the capability of acting a certain persona without all the social consequences.
It's the other way around, really. In the online world, people tend to show their true faces, because as you pointed out correctly, they don't have to fear the social repercussions they'd get in the real world from that. In the "virtual world", being a tard has almost no consequences. An a-hole might try to "play it nice" in real life (after all it's bad to call your boss a "n00b"), but in a game, they can finally be what they truly are.Shonindayo - Lost City wrote: »Really its a game of pretend. You're confusing roleplaying a character with roleplaying yourself. I actually have been roleplaying characters for decades. And occassionally I am playing bad people too, just for the heck of it. It's fun, indeed. But you know what - people always will be able to tell that I am pretending. Most of all because I am pretending my _character_ is evil, not that _I_ am evil. I seriously doubt that you're talking in-character when you insult your opponent in PvP. When you call someone a "n00b", it's directed at the _player_, not the char. In the end, that's the entire difference between being a roleplayer and being a jerk.
You claim to be a nice person, and still, from what I gather from your postings, you seem to have fun trash talking to others online. Seriously, if you were a nice person you wouldn't do that. Nice persons don't insult others for fun, in a game or not. 'Nuff said. Nice people are always nice people. A-holes are always a-holes. End of story. I have never seen a single exception to that rule and as I said in my older post, I would be very surprised to ever see one. I have met hundreds of people online, quite a few I've met in RL too (btw: maybe try that some day, too - it would show you that there is no hard border between "online world" and "real world"). I dare claiming most online gamers don't even try to be someone else online. Because they are just playing the game and having fun chatting to others.Knowing this, one should keep their insults to a certain minimum so no one ends up committing suicide, which has sadly happened before in the gaming/online community.
That's an interesting thing to say for you, since it contradicts basically everything else you've said here. Ok then: The minimum possible insults you can limit yourself down to using, is zero - there is no law saying you have to be offensive at all, now is there? If people would just do that, we wouldn't have this discussion right now...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

So....to recap....in real life you are the nicest person ever. You help old ladies across the street, you kiss babies, you support local grocerices and you're a vegetarian so you don't harm any of gods creatures.
But online...you become el-destructivo, the demonic chicken from the six circle of hell. You are mean, you swear, you type "LOL" a lot at the begining AND end of all your sentences. You insult and attack people just for your own amusement. You wear a black mini skirt, panty hose and a thong in the real world while you pk others because no one can judge you over the internet, and you need to release all your anger onto said internet to compensate for having to hold it in from all the people who ridicule you in the real world for cross-dressing.

Only petty bitter angry little people justify being a complete jerk online by saying "it's just online". Only anger stricken cross dressers living in there mothers basements justify it with "i hate the world raaar!".

I've met quite a few who are different online than IRL specially when it comes to PKing they can be a complete sweetheart in person but become total a-holes in a pk war, so what ? if that's fun for them why not there's no such thing as pvp without drama and insults.
Online games are fun, online insults should stay online and shouldnt affect you offline it takes nothing to type "n00b" and noone can do **** about it.
If you cant tell the difference go seek help, you need it badly if you want to play.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I'm mostly borderline when it comes to role playing. Most of the time I just play myself because I do not interact with people all that much in the game. When I do it depends on what is going on.
When people buff me, I thank them and toss them mine if it's possible. When people KS me I ask them to stop. If they don't it tells me it's probably time to find a new hunting area. As I've come to find out there are many in this game and I love it for that.
For me, being a carebear or whatever the term for this game is, isn't really a factor since one can just tune out the global chat. From what I'm told it costs money to use that anyways. So I view it as supporting the game and its staff. b:thanks
I'm to busy hunting, exploring, and learning the ins and outs of the game to spend time dealing with everyone who wants to act a fool and be immature. War of words will come I'm sure, but that again is half the fun when you can be creative about it. b:chuckle0 -

Seek help, councelling, perhaps the love of a good woman, or in your case man. I suggest a lumberjack. Goodluck out there b:bye
Wow, its amazing the assumptions people make. You are apparently the one that needs help, but I'll indulge you.
For your information, even though its none of your business, I am engaged and set to marry next year to an absolutely gorgeous and wonderful lady. I live a very successful and happy life outside of this game, and am a very likable person. I honestly don't have a single enemy, and get along with just about everybody. Its amazing how stupid you look when you start making baseless judgments about ppl's lives.
Its funny how you resort to personal attacks, when I have made none on anyone here. And your telling me that being an a-hole ingame is wrong? At least I'm not personally attacking you. What a hypocrite. And who said I was a total a-hole in game to begin with? Your whole post is full of tard assumptions that aren't even true. Again though, I'll indulge you.
In-game I dont trash talk, unless its to my guildies for some fun. I do however, act in a manner that isn't truly my personality. We'll say, I'll act like a total perv that takes every opportunity to come on to someone. Its joking, of course, and it gets good lulz from the guild and my target, but its hardly a characteristic of my personality. I have great respect for women, and have lived a non-sexual life up until I met my fiance. Not that its your business again, but I'm allowing you to see you dumb your post was.
Now that we got your stupid presumptions out of the way, you can see that your idea of online personalities is wayyy off base. Now can we please move the discussion forward and keep things civil? I tried to avoid pointless flames, but look who wanted to start them. I guess your like this in real life as well? Somehow I doubt it, which further illustrates my point.0 -
If you like PvP and PK madness, that doesn't mean everybody does.
that is why there are PvE and PvP servers in games.
They are targeted to different types of players. Neither should be considered "better" than the other.
Its only a matter of taste.
Also being nice ("carebear") Is not wrong.
Imo you can pk all you want, but trashtalking is just silly.
Also the fact you are anonymous might make you want to try how it would be to act "evil". Its normal to try trolling/griefing in internet.0 -
