Personally, i feel that this guide is horribly outdated and biased.
just from browsing a few random posts here and there throughout the discussion i noticed several controversal remarks made by mystic, such as the one where EAs are a pvp only class and another where he claimed that most players will use light armor end game.
although EAs are incredibly effective in pvp (especially end-game) EAs also have a rediculously easy pve experience post lvl 60 (which is an early milestone you will reach during your experience in perfect world) as once they complete their doom cultivation, they have their afk skill also known as zhen(you go afk while attacking with an aoe attack that continues until you end it). As you will come to find through experience (especially with a good guild) you will find that these aoe parties are not quite as picky as you would otherwise be led to believe with the classes they have in them. EVERY CLASS minus the werefox class has an aoe which is useful in an aoe party. BOTH MAGES AND EA's have their afk skill which does damage while continuously sapping MP, and werebeasts and warriors have aoes which they use for pulling mobs and pulling them into the afk group. EPs also have an afk skill which heals for a specific amount of HP each "tick" as it consumes MP (known as blue ball). Truthfully, there is no such thing as a pvp-only class in perfect world.
As for most players using lightarmor end-game.. well... it was my understanding that RQ ragequit from my-en before reaching end-game.
Although there is a valid "light armor" spec for each and every class except for werebeast end-game.. you will find that most average players will choose for the more obvious approach when it comes to armor. Many mages do use light armor end game (which takes months and months and months of solid grinding to reach and even then no one has actually "achieved" true end-game status on perfectworld, rather only an acceptible level in which leveling is no longer as important as having pvp equipment). Warriors.. however.. well.. - yes many warriors use light armor in fear of mages, but "end-game" many warriors will have reverted back to heavy or never chose light armor at all.
as for my personal pking opinions, i disagree with the original guide in all of it's entirety.
when i pk people.. i pk everyone.. and i do it with the understanding that there's a particular reason why i want to pk the victim (if i cant think of a good one.. i blame it on his fashion or his hairstyle) typically.. pk is a political tool used to incite guild wars and through experience i have come to learn that the most effective way to incite a guild war via pk is to pk everyone in a random guild of your choosing (in my case.. rage quit.... again......) including the lowbies until higher levels or more players come for the pvp.. In the event more come than i can handle.. i effectively continue pking the lower levels before i die, respawn, wait until the higher levels leave, and then continue pking the lowbie..
this is one of my favorite methods of pking as it typically leaves a sour mark on the target guild (either the lowbie will quit the guild.. or i will mock the guild for allowing me to pk the lowbie until he is considering quitting <_<) Regardless of what you say,, this method will ALWAYS AND SURELY provide the most exciting pvp/grudgefest you will ever see in a game..
Another reservation i have is with making a "pk char".. personally i find that pking on ONE character of any particular class (ill be playing a melee just to show you it's possible to wtf gank with a melee) will make you quite the celebrity.. (the joker did it.. and how many of you really don't know who the joker is?) but more importantly, it's what i do.. and im famous
i do hope that my input in correspondance with the RQ guide will help people decide for themselves how they would like to involve themselves progressively in the pvp universe of perfect world without rage quitting in the process [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

There's a distinct lack of playerkillers in this game, and I believe that's one of the reasons for the carebear overpopulation. Like deer, if we don't slaughter them meaninglessly then there will become too many.
I basically have one thing to say to you. There is a new way to deal with deer overpopulation. Make them sterile. It's actually true. A deer population can be put at a reproductive standstill for years, all the while death by natural causes lessens the population during that time.

Whoever you are you had reasonable clauses to your post about the PVP. Mystic isn't God but he's damn closeI basically have one thing to say to you. There is a new way to deal with deer overpopulation. Make them sterile. It's actually true. tl;dr past this.
1) For the 248th time, this guide is not about endgame. It's about PK-based alts up to 55ish. Try reading it before you reply!
2) That eliminates any talk of 60+ leveling... again, read before you reply...
3) Ah, RQ left MY-EN before reaching endgame. Well, while that's only true for about half of RQ's members at the time, we now have a LARGE portion of the guild who played long after I and the rest of the current RQs left, including but not limited to Celes, Brutius, Shizo, T0yo, Xkwisite, Six, Fate, and plenty of others I won't disclose for multiple reasons. If you think we haven't all shared our views and knowledge you're dead wrong.
RQ has the top players from all of the decent guilds on Delphi, and even some from Oracle. The RQ that is present on this server is about 4x (already) larger than the one who was present on Delphi, with players from a huge array of backgrounds and guilds.
Basicallly, your post said "RQ DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT 60+ OMGGGGG" and, while not only being completely wrong, is completely irrelevant.Bonus disclaimer: This guide is assuming you're playing an alt based on PKing and don't plan on going over 55.

i read your guide and had you read mine you would have realized that i distinctly said that i don't believe in making an alt to pk.. had you actually read my guide you would have realized that my entire post was just my views on PK.. i wouldn't "flameeee" you in your own rediculous pvp/pk guide that has nothing to do with pvp..
to clarify.. i disagreed with the under lvl 55 thing because it's a cop-out and is probably why everyone says you pk lowbies... from there i went on about my own personal ideas that contrast yours.
anyways.. most of my points were made because your guide is misleading. You also made multiple references to "end-game" play, so again, read before you reply. Although i really didn't feel like creating the illusion that im a diligent poster by quoting every single comment you made refering to it, i did make it clear that those comments were the ones i was replying to, which makes your bonus disclaimer completely irrelevant.

you're right.. i was talking beyond lvl 55..
ea's are still not a pvp-only class.. up until like 40 you can party quest up like nothing.. and any class especially a range class is incredibly effective at doing so.. from 40-50 everyone does the same exact thing so your class is irrelevent, and from 50-60 typically people go to dwan.. which again isn't a class specific place...
ea's are the most common well-rounded class in the game.. thats why there's so many of them... - so you're wrong about them being a pvp-only class..
and as for light armor..
it's lvl 55.. you shouldnt really be trying to do an oddball spec because the gear wont support the sacrifices you're making..

They are the worst class at soloing; that's my point. We quit because of lag and GM corruption - the same reason hundreds of other people quit. Also, you've quit as well, since you're posting on this forum! DISCREDIT'D.
By your logic, you're saying that if a VERY successful major political adviser quit his position after only one term (refusing to take a second) and instead went to teach politics, he'd be discredited. I'm sorry, but if that's how you really feel, you're foolish.
That said, stop flaming guide threads, if you had useful feedback I would have been glad to accept it but you DON'T, you basically said "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIGHLEVELS" which this guide has nothing to do with, followed by "I DON'T LIKE LIGHT ARMOR MAGES EARLY" but too bad; I do. They kick **** at PVP, even at 55-60, they just aren't good for leveling which doesn't matter for a PK based alt which is what this guide is based on. And lastly you said you don't agree with rolling a PK alt, in which case, that's great. This guide isn't a debate about if you should or not, it's about what to do if you did.

One point I have to make... eventually an EA can frost arrow -> normal attacks and kill mobs of equivalent level with just that skill before they're even reached. That doesn't make them the worst class at solo'ing by any means x:[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Sure as hell didn't cut it on Amby, and she had a very nice bow, and I used colli instead of frost. They still reached me and hit me a few times before going down.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The problem is that the guide is ABSOLUTELY correct for what it set out to do. The fact that you don't like 50-55 PK alts doesn't make the information wrong - it makes you a whiny *****. The guide is a guide for running a PK based alt, especially an archer. And it's right. Sorry my GUIDE FOR LOWBIE PVP/PK doesn't have high PVP and all the stuff that it's NOT DESIGNED FOR.

1. your guide is going to be read by people who want a general idea of how to pk.. not how to be a RQ nonfactor... you need to keep in mind that when you make a guide people will take from it and leave **** in it.. in that aspect your guide is horribly vague and more than a guide.. it's a roadmap to being your clone..
2. no, your information is not correct.. it's not even information, more than anything it's a list of opinions without any reason to believe they're valid opinions, UNLIKE my ideas which i atleast explained indepth WHY i felt the way i did to atleast eliminate the relevency over whether or not i actually experienced what im talking about.. the guide itself is horrible and i think there should be restrictions stamped on people before they're even allowed to post and repost guides all over the place..
3. you keep focusing on this <55 range.. thats fine.. but no where in your post do you even MENTION skills or tactics beyond porting into dungeons if you get owned..

Very helpful guide. Most people wouldn't think casting a speed-up skill would slow your escape. Also the "who you can kill" list gave me a better idea on how pk works here. As a suggestion, maybe you could add some good pk spots or the like. :B?
The ultimate pk technique was an eye opening experience that I shall remember for the rest of my days. T3T

Haha. The ultimate PK technique loses a lot of it's flair when there's no [img]tags (or did they add those now?) Glad to be of help. As far as good PK spots, there's already a section on that o.O 5.0: Player Hunting Areas 30-35: The hills outside 29fb are an excellent place, anything in those forests. Also the Serene Valley. 35-40: The areas around fishing village, the areas between 29fb and fishing village, the flying mobs underneath Tears of Heaven, the area with the tombstones around fishing village. 40-45: Clan of Haste, Hasten Plain and surrounding area. If you're really ballsy, you can try dragon wilderness and sundown town, but be careful as there are many high levels in that area. 45-55: Oh wow, you're getting serious about this stuff huh? Stick around Dragon Wilderness and Sundown Town, that's a vast area with plenty of playerkilling to be had. Check the bosses that spawn in this area that are required for quests (one of the taurens, the big dragon, etc) as you can often find parties killing those. When you DO find a party killing them, start nuking the werebeast if you're a mage or stun and **** the priest if you're an archer and watch the whole party die. Hilarity insues. The thrill in PKing comes from the fight, or alternatively the laughter of someone's cowardice in running from a fair fight.
If you kill a lowbie, there's no shame in them running, and there's no fight to be thrilled about.
So what's the point?
Not to diss you anything. But in your guide you state, watch him/her fight mobs first then attack.
So what's fair about that?
- The target needs to kill mob first then attack you -> result target will probably die before you get 1 hit
- The target targets you and the mob still attacks the target -> result you will be in huge advantage since mob does additional damage for you.
- Target goes into air and fight you -> target will have lost a considerable amount of HP. If he/she uses pot/Hiero/heal, attacker still in advantage since thetarget gets a cooldown time for his/her heal.
When you in advantage it's not fair fight. Even a sucky PVPer as I am can kill somebody that way....0 -

Apparently I didn't explain well enough =pIt is designed for players who are playing to kill other players in cold blood. I do "not" adhere to this weird belief of "honor" in a game. I have no problem killing someone fighting mobs, and if you're reading this, you shouldn't either.
While I say I have no problem attacking someone fighting a mob, I believe that that's fair as I've never lost a gank from someone my level. Regardless of if I was fighting mobs or not. An aware and active player will be able to quickly dispatch the mob and turn his attention to you; perhaps losing a pink pot but most likely nothing more. The classes that die quickly are also the ones who kill mobs very quickly, and they should have no issue doing so.
Not every fight in a gank is fair, and I have never claimed they are. Personally, I don't get a whole lot of excitement out of killing someone fighting a mob. I usually try to wait until they are between mobs or picking up items. But sometimes that's simply not an option.
It depends what you're aiming for as a PKer. I do it for the thrill of the fight, but some people do it just to kill people.
Regardless, a decent player should be able to easily take care of the mob and turn to you. I have never failed a countergank, anyone my level who has ganked me alone has either lost or ended up running.
I never claimed ganking was fair - I said that I laugh when someone runs from a FAIR FIGHT. If someone ran from me attacking them during a fight with a mob, I probably wouldn't be laughing much. The thrill isn't really there.
Watch my later videos, the majority of the times I attack people they are running/flying to a destination or floating around outside of town.
