    I don't get it. Why do you guys say more spirit = spirit less effective? Doesn't having more spirit means having more Attack and Defense level over someone with lower Spirit?

    I don't get it either. Let's say I have 1800 spirit right now because i have the cards and spirit stones and bla bla. Someone else has 1300 spirit, so, i have 500 spirit over them.

    New boundary comes, we both do the quests and get to Whatevername Sky X which gives let's say 500 more spirit for easy math sake.

    1800 + 500=2300
    1300+500=1800

    I still have 500 spirit over that person, how does it make it any different? It will make a huge difference over for example a person that is not RB yet since having 1800 more spirit than them or 2300 is a huge difference, other than that, it doesn't make any difference at all and doesn't close the gap on anything.

    10 spirit = 1% att and def increase over another player
    40 spirit = 1% att and def increase over mobs

    If anything, more sky lvls will only help in PvE and won't change anything in PvP.

    People started off saying 10 spirit = 1 att lvl and 1 def lvl because at the time it was true, but people that didnt understand how spirit works assumed this to always be true.

    That is no longer the case, on 1500 spirit every 100 spirit = 4 att/def lvl

    Once the new sky levels have been maxed out I would say 100 spirit is about 3.33 att lvl / def lvl.


    To answer the question about sharding with the +2 att/def lvl shards compared the +32 spirit stones question it entirely depends on the class you are playing. If you are playing classes that benefit equally from both att lvl and def lvl I would say spirit stones are better (completely ignoring the cost ofcourse, cuz its way too expensive)

    Most classes however dont benefit equally from both att lvl/def lvl...

    Classes that benefit way more from def lvl over att lvl, due to their supportive nature, would be: Clerics/Blademaster/Barbarians/Mystics... On these classes I would advise +2 Defense level shards.
    Seekers get additional scaling on defense level which you dont get from spirit, so for them the shards are amazing too.

    Classes that benefit way more from att lvl over def lvl, due to their range and mobility, would be:
    Archers/Wizards/Psychics/Stormbringers... On these classes I would advise +2 Attack level shards.

    Classes that benefit equally from both att lvl and def lvl are basically the close/mid-range DD classes:
    Assassins/Duskblades/Venomancers... Ignoring the ridiculous cost of the spirit stones I guess I would suggest spirit stones :D

    But who knows how much more free spirit we'll be getting in the future. I think investing in spirit is a terrible long-term investment, so unless you have a lot of money to waste, or you just really wanna show off and compensate for your shortcomings as a person, I would stay away from the spirit stones entirely :s

    which is really good news ... as spirit in itself is such a stupid stat from a design perspective to begin with.

    just like this big mmo in azeroth realized after what felt like a decade , that such a stat is jsut plain bs

    In any larger PvP setting a Duskblade needs to be mindful of both his offensive capabilities aswell as his defensive capabilities.
    Thats one of the prices that comes with being melee. Duskblades that completely ignore their defensive capabilites fail as a Duskblade in any type of large PvP as they are either dead or too limited in up-time. My personal experience with opposing DBs in both xTW and TW is that a lot of them think like that, they are capable of hitting 30k damage, they are also completely useless in xTW/TW because of that. At least in my experience, I havent done battle against a single effective DB in both TW/xTW. Perhaps its cuz its a bad class for big PvP, or perhaps its cuz they rather hit 30k dmg once instead of hitting 10k dmg 10 times.

    imo anything that can zerkcrit should be deity\atk lvls, the spike damage just scales so much with atk lvl amp, it can give space for solo kills at endgame even in mass​​

    Attack levels scale terribly badly, unless you are hitting JOSD target and even still they are even with JOSD sharding at best. I would also love to see how DB manages to get 220 attack levels. Unless you are assuming demon buff proc in it, which would be just idiotic assumption in mass.

    As for the shard comparison, we are already way beyond the point(350 spirit , yes, really) where spirit shards(+25 spirit) are better over 2 attack levels offensively. Spirit has always been overrated but sharding with spirit now is more or less idiotic, even if you need to pick what you want(attack or defense). I really should be redoing my own shards <.<.

    many homestead stuff for skins

    but no new gear, many skills including some ultra skills are enhanced.

    for example, archer can knock back ppl by feather amageddon skill

    two passive skill: reduce crit dmg and increase def lvl

    Hopefully, some good ppl can translate them to pwi players

    I have reason to believe that the new passives require leveling the 2 new boundary levels which means dailies until the end of time.

    Annoyingly they put the skill update previews in an image. I was able to translate it with my phone's translate app though: If you're up to it you can use this image http://i.imgur.com/4OTIPA6.png

    Archer section says:

    Blackwing Arrow: After casting players can pick one of the 3 follow up skills (currently it's random), Phys Penetration buff effect is increased and duration is extended.
    Feather Armageddon: Repels Players
    Frost Splash: Shorter Casting Time
    Ataraxia: Shorter Channeling Time

    I think Feather Armageddon is going to be the only relevant skill here considering the others have long cooldowns. I'm not really sure though if it will be used before leap or wings of grace, I don't really see SBs use their version very much. We'll see.
    I'll get some real descriptions out once the patch is available for download.

    Unless the update is somehow really awesome. I don't want another case of Primal World where the skills updated are still mostly irrelevant, like Dark Taboo. But maybe they give us a longer duration on Malefic Crush's Paralyze. tiger-46.gif

    Finally, the drops for red mat will be in fragments, it'll make life easier. Btw is the fragment tradeable or bound ?

    Feather Armageddon : Repel Players, with melees having ridiculous stunlock nowadays, this skill effect is a nice addition to archers. Hopefully cleric, the other elf counterpart will be given a fun skill as well xD

    I hope they will give a skill for cleric that has anything to do with movement or something useful to DD or help land a kill. . Something like Elven Boon will have a one-time guaranteed 100% seal during the cooldown of either Seal of God or Chromatic Seal, or 100% silence when Chromatic Seal(sleep skill) is in cooldown. Can anyone translate the cleric section ? I'm dead curious to know.

    Nerf sins and / duskblades I understand sins but duskblades Im kind of surprised in mass pvp db arent nearly bad as sins but w.e this is fine for me magic classes depend on crits at times well the DD ones like diety psychics ect if this means easoer to cc w.o worry of a 30k hit fine with me

    If they want to give us more damage they need to add it to our spells.. you know, the skills we actually use for damage. monkey-9.gif
    Unless these Fox Form attacks will somehow deal similar damage as our spells (thus giving us the option to deal any relevant damage in Fox Form), but I highly doubt it.

    like... mewlee got zerk. so still good dmg ... magic aint got zerk , and crit dmg gets reduced.?

    Magic Classes get "zerk" on their G17 weapons so that might have influenced their decision... but who even has G17 weapons lol. Those won't be around anytime soon. I suppose PWCN players don't need 5th cast though. The 3rd cast might already be better than the weapons most players use there. I don't know.​​

    The greater difference there is in soulforce between the caster and the person who gets it, the attacking person will be sealed for a shorter time.
