PvP Tournament Sign-Ups (Closed)

It is that time, so please read the instructions before signing up your team. Failure to do so, will result in your team not being picked.

Sign ups will go until 12 Noon on 6/27/15

Start Time: 12 Noon (3PM server time) 6/28 Saturday for Raging Tide. Following that, we will announce the start of Archosaur's start time.

What Info you need to fill in

- Team Name (If applicable. Make one up if you have to, you can change it later)
- Name of the 5 members of your team (The names you sign-up with are the players that you must play with. If you change them out or they do not show on the day of the tournament, you will be disqualified)
- Name of your 3 back-ups (If you have any. If you don't, then leave blank.)

Rules

- Teams can only consist of 5 players.
- Each Team can only have 3 back-up players.
- To ensure no one faction dominates the sign-ups, you are limited to only two teams within a faction. (This includes back-up players, so 16 in total). If caught with more, all teams from said faction, will be disqualified.
- Any team that has a team member that fails to show up, and cannot be replaced by any of the teams listed replacements (back-ups), will be disqualified.

-This is a first come, first serve sign-up. The first 8 teams to sign-up will be chosen. (Per server, 16 teams in total)

- This sign-up only applies to players on the servers Raging Tide and Archosaur. Sign-ups for other servers will be posted when we reveal the event dates for them.

Lastly, if you choose to change up your roster, you will have until the 25th to do so. Changes will not be allowed after that date.

They should have set up a new server and gave everyone equal gears. They said they didn't have the tools to do that. But they already set up 9 servers by now, I don't see what's preventing a temporary 10th one.

Is opening a new server within their (technical and legal) capabilities? Clearly, yes.

Is giving everyone on that server max gear and (especially) levels, etc.? I don't think so. Gear would have to be given manually to each person, and levels...

The answer is yes as well. We already know they can mail gears, cards, shards and orbs easily. Level is just a matter of spawning a bunch of FC heads, and GMs proved they can spawn mobs too. They still could've started small so it's manageable and go big.

Also, we know other official server like Russia done it in the past, so I would say it is definitely doable.

Real life does not work that way.

And in case you've forgotten, they aren't getting support from China on this. Hell, the two people involved in this (sparkie and DoD) are doing it on, what is supposed to be, their free time because they want it more convenient for everyone instead of during official work hours.

You really think he's gonna get permission to setup a brand new server just for a trial run of an event OR get the tools from China to put everyone on an equal gear footing? He even pointed out in the original thread that he's not getting any real support for this and has to work with things like gear brackets as a result.

I highly doubt they needed china to set up all 9 of their servers, and I highly doubt they need China's help to mail people gears. Or do they really just have no one who understands anything about computers?

If it is true, I'm disappointed. This is supposed to be their main game.

It's not as simple as having a guy near the bottom of the chain flip a switch, throw gear at people, and setup an AoE while spawning 59285928956892598289298589289 x (insert monster here) in the AoE.

Seriously you have a SEVERE lack of understanding of just how little our CMs actually have the capability for and seem to think that every single staff member has the same abilities and power in the company. That's as far from the case as you can possibly get.

Like I said, real life does not work that way and what you're asking is similar to asking why a cashier at Wal-Mart can't open up another one and hand out free stuff for a promotion the cashier is running unassisted. After all, Wal-Mart has shown they can open stores and have given away items in the past so clearly everyone in the company should be able to do the same.

Edit: I mean really. They didn't even do something like that for PWIC and for that they HAD every reason to and, late to the party or not, would probably have had full support from China to deal with it. Compared to this much smaller scale event that's a trial for others of its kind AND not getting any support? Yeah, it's not happening.
