i think this thread could be closed, sadly but i think same than Proski even we talk about wizz or generally about nuke skills or debuff nerf etc
but since more tryed off topic or talk about wizz without rolling like main in this thread, so let me quote few thing before this thread closed (i hope this happen because was made the thread for talking about a non op solution for resolve the nerfs and make colored playstyle like it was ago)
i think on reroll too
someone maybe remember to old wizzard, most of them disappeared...Few post from peoples who atleast played with wizz not only talk about theory and pls skip the reply mainly with spark debuff because like in 1st post, u can see i never sugested about remake spark genie skill even that was only reason why wizzard was on edge in something even costed genie regen waht nobody reallised and was avoidable with contra genie with high mag+vit and anti fire skill etcProski - Archosaur wrote: ».................................................................
I'm not gonna waste my time playing wizards anymore, they've consistently been the worst class in this game for years all things considering. there's a reason there are so few, yet nobody but actual wizard players themselves reflect on that fact.

i'm sage. as for the thread, first time seeing it. unfortunately, you can't appeal to reason with people on this forum when their only experience with wizards is one scenario ingrained in their memory. that is, of course, dieing to spark, never mind all the other drawbacks to being a wizard as compared to other classes
it's hilarious, I cannot even begin to tell you how many friends I've had over the 4-5 years of playing this game tell me they planned on rolling a wizard, then quitting a week later. only one that spent enough to fully deck his wizard out in +12 and jades obviously continued playing him.
i have same experience... most of my wizz friend left the game or rerolled, who left mostly cash shopper but slowly they start disappear tooXXHotXx - Morai wrote: »i just rerolled a different class i inted to play in my next future b:laughRSully - Heavens Tear wrote: »The fact that even though we've been hilariously screwed with since Raging Tides, we continue to find ways to make it happen. Keep hitting hard wizards of PWI.XEmpX - Heavens Tear wrote: »Honestly, though of us who still play wizzies are a little odd. We know how underpowered we are now, yet still hold on to hope that one day we will be returned as the OP class of the game again. It ain't gonna happen. I should have rolled a psy instead, they are beasts. Or mystics.Lolozaurus - Morai wrote: »To be honest, our class is ****. I will probably quit the game after having my R9+12 josd wiz on RT and good maxed S cards.
Sadly to say ... ****!
Wiz is not a good class anymore. Wiz is a joke. A PATHETIC PIECE OF GARBAGE CLASS! and will be even a bigger piece of garbage when they put defense passives to level 10.
Better reroll a sin for free win!Gnip - Raging Tide wrote: »I am also debating on leaving my wizard. The recent update has made the wizard one of the bottom among the classes. Unless they make a few minor tweaks to our skills i fear more and more people will be leaving the wizard class behind.
I argue that most wizards have little chance against comparably geared opponents at least 1v1. in fact most of our victories are against lowered geared opponents.
On my sin it is a different story. he can routinely take on and defeat higher geared foes regularly. My bm and barb to a lesser extent. My seeker and mystic really didn't see too much of a change.
as you can see i have several classes i routinely play and the one who has dropped the most would be my wizard. and thus the dissatisfaction.Fissile - Archosaur wrote: »- Redacted -
....... the amp provided by undine strike is nothing compared to what it used to be.Dragslave - Dreamweaver wrote: »I dont disagree wizards are good, but we dont hit as hard as we are supposed to, if wizards are **** you, maybe you need more m.def, but is not nice that our 2 debuffs got seriously nerfed.
About skills, if u read my previous post and learn about wizard skills, i dont want any hugh power boost, just less cooldown or chi cost on some skills so they are spammable.
problem they get more nerf with soon aswell and no any news about fixLeni - Raging Tide wrote: »My turn! I wanna QQ too
Undine: 30 mt range, 80% debuff
Frozen Flame: Single hit OR 15 sec cooldown
Sandfall: 300% weap dmg on the initial hit instead of 200%
All ulties: Extra 100% weap dmg
MS: 0.5 sec less channel
Blinding Blaze: Unpurifyable
Hailstorm: Gives more chi (lol really 5 chi? F-ing ridiculous)
DB: Ticks every 2 secs
Elem Invocation: 3 min cooldown, chi burn effect can co-exist with Veno curses.
Manifest Virtue: 2% OR 3 min cooldown
Ice Prison: 1 spark cost
Elem Shell: Adds wood defense as well, 25% chance to purify
FoW: 1 sec less cast time (do not confuse with channeling time)
Arcane Defense: Can be refreshed
Quaff: 50 chi cost
Sleep: 1 min cooldown
Shrink: Tidal effect while leaping
Dew: 1 sec less chan
Miasma: 10%
Sutra: Demon/Sage versions: 1 extra second vs chance to cost 1 spark
Genie Spark: 25mt range
And that would be all And really, if you think about it, they're all very fair and reasonable small tweaks that would boost Wizard performance just a bit, aiming for balance without ending up broken, or hell, even coming close to what other classes have -.-
And if i could add a personal wish, that would be an extra ranged AoE without chi cost, similar to Hailstorm in damage but with some kickass flashy laggy animation b:dirtyUndine Strike should gain a couple of extra features, additional 3m range and making it deal at least 25% base damage instead of that tiny drop of damage and should they also make the status effects re-applicable, they could change the effects of Sage D.P./G.S. (two outdated skills) to match Undine Strike.
No changes should be made to the debuff effects because wizards should not be highly ranked in terms of debuffs or going solo and non of the current buffs have increased, it was made to scale accordingly with cleric's magic res. buff and U.S. is a low cost skill.
However they could use another debuff in their arsenal that is not as costly as Ice Prison (which needs a minor tweak as well) but definitely not as cheap as U.S.
If they get a debuff that work similarly to the way those PVE debuffs seekers have but at a small fraction of their effects, it will definitely make Wizard more interesting rather than overpowered. This will only replace the lousy option wizards have today and that is to rely on their genie for extra debuffs.
Damage-wise they should get a reasonable increase to the current fixed damage add-on like Psychics, which isn't much to ask for because Psychics' get lower cast times on top of damage tweak.
Channeling, cast or cool-down times are best left as they are because those are unique characteristics of a wizard.
With that said their next tier of spells are severely outdated, SS, DP & GS. They need to double their current fixed damage add-on if they do not increase their weapon damage add-on.
As for the highest tier of spells, BT should get the same % of the current fixed damage add-on upgrade as whatever the basic spells gets to scale accordingly so it won't result in anything significant as channel/cast/cool-down remain untouched. However BIDS & MS surely could use a bigger boost but not to the extend of twice as much current fixed damage add-on.
It's not much to ask for even if wizards want double or triple the current fix damage add-on or get extra weapon damage added on most skills because they still won't compare to something like a skill that offers like 200-300% base damage at almost zero cost. Even 150% base damage will be nice, for a caster, it will deal approximately 30% more damage than a basic Gush at end-game.
Generally low to mid geared people are more likely to have longer channeling duration & generate less chi, so in short they will have lesser opportunities to use these skills effectively with channel aid, so it won't make too much of an impact to ruin PVP even if you're talking about similar gears.
And also with all 3 eruptions or any skill or buff that increases your base attack, the lower the stats you have, the higher the percentage they will take up in your base attack. For example sage/demon eruption (both gives 7 attack multiplier), a wizard with 10-11 attack multiplier (900-1000 magic) will only get up to 170-163.6% of normal base attack while a wizard with 7-8 attack multiplier (600-700 magic) will get 200-187.5% of normal base attack.0
