    Claws were designed with archers in mind. They have a much higher dex requirement than Str requirement. If they were designed exclusively for Blademasters then why is their dex requirement 4 times higher than the dex requirement of heavy armor? They fit much better into a pure dex build than into a pure str build.

    Also if you bother to look at the archer skill tree a good deal of them are specifically designed to be used with other weapons. Pretty much all skills on the left half require a bow while the skills on the right can be used with any weapon. If archers were always supposed to use only a bow then all skills would have the bow requirement and not just the left.

    From these facts it seems clear the developers expected at least some archers to use melee weapons on enemies in melee range. It's not an original concept at all and PWI would hardly be the first MMO to feature archers using melee weapons as a backup.

    I wonder how much you freaked out when you discovered venos that wear heavy armor. Maybe you had a panic attack when you figured out sins could use bows. I bet seeing a cleric equip physical ornaments makes you want to bash your head against the wall.
