[Item-Send Pages Being Taken Down Temporarily]

Hey all,


In anticipation of tonight's expansion launch, we will be temporarily turning off all item-send functionality. This will include the DQ shop, Facebook Connect Blessings, redemption codes, etc..

These systems' corresponding pages will also be taken down.


They will be taken down at 6pm PST, so in about 45 minutes.


Our plan is to bring everything back online tomorrow, so please be patient.


Now is a very good time to buy your DQ items or send yourself a Jones' Blessing; just do it within the next 45 minutes.

Update 2-15-2012: We are currently unable to send items to players, meaning that the DQ shop/facebook connect blessings/token shop/etc.. are not functioning correctly right now. This also means that the Launch Giveaway at the Descent teaser site (http://pwi.perfectworld.com/descent) is affected as well. We're working on the system, and we'll get it back up as soon as possible, after which the Giveaway items will be sent out.


Update 2-23-2012

So the functionality of the item-sending is back up, but since some changes had to be made for it to work, we want to conduct some thorough testing before bringing all of the related pages back up. The goal is to bring them back up by tomorrow, just in time for the weekend.

    Here's hoping they come back without being broken after the update.


    EDIT: I was wrong to have any hope that they could actually do something correctly. Who knows when they will manage to fix it.

    You may correct me if I'm worng but...

    The reason PWE takes down the send features on FB connect, DQ rewards, Token items is because every major patch causes the program code to revert to a pervious version for sending items.
    A while back, some people figured out how to use the send features on the above to send themselves some mighty rare items... (scroll of tome, remember?)
    So, instead of PWE planning on this and asking China to incude a fix back when they found out about the expansion (many moons ago), they waited til the roll out and said Uff-Da! My bad. All your sending items are belong to us. (at least til we get China to send a fix again).

    So, plan on the sending feature to be out for quite a while (last time was a couple weeks if I remember right)...

    No blessings... no DQ items.... no token items (worthless imho but whatever floats yer boat I guess)... no expansion roll out giveaway (like we need more hypers, right?)

    So now you know the rest of the story.

    That's all good except, they fixed the website not anything in game. China doesn't fix their website.

    For the error they have now sure, but not for the duping. That was a website fix, not a game fix.

    ummm... you are half correct. They added code into the game files as well so that items could not be sent (item ID numbers) that weren't supposed to. Sort of like a mail filter for PWI Mailbox NPC.

    I know for those who didn't get some blessing stashed each day it's bad, but see it in a good way..

    It's 2x... Go grind DQ like a madman/madwoman and be surprised how many points u have when it comes back up b:chuckle
    Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

    I'm sorry to say, Frankie, but by history records with the china devs have taught me to expand these couple of days into weeks...

    I have to agree with you, its funny how they say a day or two, when they should just give it straight out an answer that it will take longer instead of lying.

    Might just gain more instead of holding back but hey only saying. =)
