Fashion is very much a part of my gaming life, and my real life. I'm definitely not a t-shirt & jeans kinda girl, and neither will you find me under dressed or in PJs or sweatpants in class, at work or out and about.

I honestly think dressing up myself or my game pixels is a hobby. This means that yes, it is pretty frivolous, but it is something that can and will make the person creating the outfit happy. Happiness is not something anyone should be deprived of, and should come forth from a true expression oneself. I think how we present ourselves to the world by what we say and what we do, and yes, by what we wear does impact a level of our happiness (of course this refers to the people reading this blog post, whom I will assume has a means to purchase their choice of clothing within their financial budgets).

And in turn, how we carry ourselves in the clothes we wear becomes a part of our style. For example, so what if you wear $200 shoes? I wear my $20 shoes and look ten times better than you. In that way, I really admire people who can pull off a jeans and t-shirt look, which I think looks perfect for them, although I myself would probably never dress that way. Everyone should be comfortable with themselves, and how they present themselves in the means that are possible for them.

Having said that, it is also ignorant, and rather rude, to disregard others for the sake of one's style. For example, no matter how much I want to, I'll never be able to wear a hat at work. If I'm going someplace where I know there will be more conservative people, I will dress appropriately (ie boyfriend's parents lol)

With friends it's a little different (if they don't like it, oh well too bad! ha!). Even so, every one of my shopping buddies has their own unique style, and I enjoy going out and seeing what they could pick out for me. How they perceive me, and combine it with their own personal tastes, and coming up with something that I've never tried before is a rather unfruitful shopping trip, but a fun way to spend time (serious shopping = going alone!).

Just by going through the threads, you can tell how diverse the tastes the players are. So let's have some fun, and pick out outfits for each others pixels. For me, for other forum members, for your friends ingame, what outfit(s) do you think will look good on them? Why so?

Here's two that I could think of quickly as I am being dragged away to play something:



dimthought always has really unique outfits. Also with her cute little look (I think she got a makeover tho...) and black hair I thought it'd be kind of cute to see her wear a colorful 3 primary colors outfit.



I loved the way Eiria looked since I first saw her on the Rate thread. She looks nice in the school girl uniform, but I would like to see her in a more cute yet... traditional/conservative, whatever the word outfit since she does have this regal look about her imo. It would look better with stardust sleeves in white, but I don't have that in any color.

She has clothes that are kind fun-loving, but feminine, and of course her signature color. So I came up with this:



A silver lined corset in orange, with black vampire pants and black bayside boots. I didn't have all the pieces and not in those colors, but was thinking of something like this.

That's a really cute idea, Susy. I don't have a lot of fash in my wardrobe or anything and I'm not really feeling the game atm (sick ;_;) So i'll pass on actually doing it. (i'd really love to see if you guys could make anything for my psy tho, since I've been trying to think of a different outfit for her lol)

As for the actual blog post, I have to agree with you on the real life fashion, Susy b:victory

I was never a really "girly" girl until half way through my senior year in high school, I started wearing makeup, doing my hair and buying actual girl clothing. lol. Most of my life was hand-me-downs from my brother and my mum never showed me how to look girly since she was a tomboy herself. Well anything, some things happened in the family and I finally found myself comfortable in girly clothing, and for a long time I would have to put on a full face of makeup and pick out an outfit to go to the grocery store. That went on for like 2 years and it was exhausting! Then I met my boyfriend, and I was like "Well what's he gonna think of me when I take off my makeup?" For about 2 months of our relationship, it didn't matter what we were going to do, I HAD to wear makeup. I HAD to wear those cute but sometimes uncomfortable outfits (Summer dresses in winter aren't that warm even with leggings and boots ;_;) Finally, when I lost Lucy, he came over the night of the it and I was in my sweats and no makeup and my eyes and nose were red from crying and he said I never looked more beautiful lol. I was so happy! So now I don't really dress up and I hardly wear makeup now, except when we're going somewhere nice or a date. But I rock the sweats and a cute shirt with no make up when we're grabbing fast food or hanging out at his place.

I've been into pw fashion for awhile, well ever sence lucy gave me my first piece

Took you up on the challenge to dress in preimary colors, and I found out I have more secoundary colors than anything

(and yeah went back to her old look couple days ago, thanks top so poking at by a fac buddy)

Vixter was on of th first to come to my mind to so I made a ode to her and venus

was my only copper thing I had though and not sure but bet she has this look

and for venus cause your char skin makes and yellows or brights sooo pretty, I though the yellow renna would look sweet on her, exp with her dark hair and the dark lines i the renny dress. Guess these are more nods to your looks than sujestions for new looks so I maybe try agian

and for KuiXing I would like to see her in the purple leather pants paired witha really tough looking top, be a kick *** wiz (also turns out I have No true purple)

Susylu, I really like that combo you picked out for vixter, hat gives it a playful feel

I'm not a huge fan of any of the pieces on the one to the far left, but for some reason I love that outfit! And despite the colors not 'matching', they go really well!

i had marta inmind when i came up with this outfit. she always dress in such expensive looking pure whites that i think she would look good in this simple colored butterfly outfit with the febela hair. with all the flowers on the hair it brings such beauty it just makes you look like a princes/queen minus the crown which her char always looks like.



this one is for grav's sin. tho she only posted once, her sin looked very daring compair to her cleric(which always looks so elegant and flowy like she would dance when she walks)

Ajiuo: aw xD That's really sweet! I actually didn't go through the makeup phase saving me a lot of money not having to buy makeup products (that eventually got wasted elsewhere but that doesn't matter I guess ;D). I'm at a point where if I start a corporate job and have to start wearing makeup I'd be at a loss at what to do cause I don't know how to put it on properly Q_Q Save me! I wish I had an older brother. I think you'd look really cute in a summer dress

dimthought: I've always liked most of your pairings, and your character, so yeah xD I like that last outfit you did, with the santa top, and darn it I want your leather pants haha. That outfit for vixter would be nice - but I hate how fashion sometimes gets cut off it's really annoying.

Being a lazy bum I am today, let's have an easy question.

Lately I've been putting in applications to transfer to another university.

Let's say that you have been given the opportunity to transfer your characters to a completely different server, and in addition, given 700m to spend on the new server. However, your guild and your friends would all have to stay with your old server, and you are not allowed to play on your old server anymore.

Which would you move to, and how would you spend your coins?

actually i do have the silver corset in orange, but my vampire pants are in orange as well xD love the suggestion of those boots too though!

XD those pants are a little on the odd side but i do have the shirt in orange already xD i do think the shirt would look good with a pair of pants though (right now i have it paired with the butterfly skirt)

u know what, i was thinking of green a few times for TreeHugs ... since you know, trees have green leaves lol. but the main reason i went with orange on her is cuz im a cheapo and i had all my fashion in orange already lol.

that outfit looks so hippie though XD hahaha does look like something a tree hugger should wear :P I do like that top though, i had it on the MY server in blue paired with a white sunshine skirt.

i probably wouldnt move due to the fact that i have built my characters and all to where im satisfied with them. i dont think 700mill would get all those things back on a new server, if gold prices were the same as they are on harshlands now. gear, veno pets, marriages (on 2 chars) all the friggen fashion in those colors, mounts, flyers... lol.

i mean, when i played on the MY server, i leveled to 101 from world quest, stone dailies, and punish&rewards repeatables lol. when PWI first came out i didnt wanna switch, i was only in my 60s at that time! it would have been the best to just move then and there. I thought that what i worked for on that server was a lot at that time, and i didnt wanna do it all over again. but on PWI, the things i have on here make my character on the MY server look like trash XD

anyways, what im getting at is, ive done it before, minus the 700mill part xD some few friends i had on the My server also played on this server as well so it was good to know some people in the beginning. but i like this server, i wouldnt move, and i like my guild/friends here, even though i dont have a full friends list or whatever :PP

Id probably go to lost city and spend all my money on getting a) finishing getting the nirvana stuff I was gonna get eventually, and b) FASHION! lol and then maybe get my sword and armor up to +10/7 if I have money leftover... such hard decisions

I wouldn't wanna move :C But if I was forced to, I'd go to an east coast server, as the times are better for me then xD Don't want to play on a european server, as they'll prolly have half the people b:surrender
I'd spend the coins on getting both my seeker and cleric rank8 + refines and shards.
no idea how much I'd have left then... but would get a herc back for fal, a TT90 glaive and would just get the morai gear for her. She's purely for pve anyway b:surrender
(though all my chars will have to lvl to get that XD)

Hmmm I'd move mine to DW. Why? Cus I already have characters/friends there. lol is that cheating? b:chuckle
But then I'd have all my characters on one server and since my second account has a character on it, it could solo all the stuff for my lowbie characters.
I don't know the exact cost of the stuff I have on all my characters on HL, but 700mil might be close if it's not bought from players (i.e. making red fashion, socketing warsoul helm instead of buying a 4socket one)... b:sweat
