All the cash shop is is an item ID and a price linked to a database. The packages (Multiples of 2/3) might be difficult and could **** something up, but its so close to impossible its like catching gonorrhea by looking at someone.

I mean, GM capes / swords can be put into the cash shop if you put the ID in and the server is enabled for it >_>

I seriously lol'd. Real reason, or gtfo. Although the various articles on extending game life seem plausible, and even welcome, personally.

    Try again frankie.

So will this sale ever be back then?

What about the orbs existing in shops now?

Was it the orb item itself causing this "possible client-side issue", or the process of purchasing the orb in the game thru the boutique?

Sorry about the wait, my post got cut off and I immediately got pulled into a meeting. But getting back to the OP:

There were no revenue issues - the sale itself was doing fine. The directive to remove them came from China, as they had located a possible client-side issue with selling the Mirage and Flame in the Boutique. We were directed to pull them from the shop immediately, which is why we had to have the emergency maintenance.

As compute science major i find that highly unlikely that the dragon orbs could do anything like this. If it did cause a critical error upon purchase it would do it to everyone who bought them and i know several people with tons of new +12 gear with no such problem. Coding errors dont pick and choose who to crash, they crash anything that stumbles upon them. Oh pwi, dont you know every time you lie to your playerbase god kills a kitten? Wait, thats masturbation
Yeah my sig doesn't match my name...i would say im being all clever and trying to confuse people...but im really just too lazy to make a new one

This is so vague, can you even elaborate alittle "possible client side issue" what the heck does that mean. Can you actually explain what this is. Sounds like a trained robot talking gosh

I believe with the Medal fiasco it took a massive amount of complaining and rioting to get a response b:chuckle

Actually historically on these forums causing as much trouble as possible gets better responses than a strategy of polite open letters. It's way to easy for them to totally ignore these as they are doing now.

    Quoted for truth...

I dont mean to be rude frankie but that's BS, once again.
It's vague and it still isn't a very sourcefull answer. ( then again i suppose we should thank the heavans on our bare knees we even GOT a reply )

The sale -wasn't- doing fine if it made the client crash, yet NEVER has a CS item made the client crash. If anything the MASS amount of packs would.

    Next to that :
Also would like to report a bug.

Yesterday, I got out of TT and was ported to Town of Arrivals. Upon repairing, the moment after I did it, the client just closes and exits, in a flash.

It just happened again about 5 minutes ago of this post. If this was the problem and reason for the orbs being remove, its still here.

^^ IF that is the reason, it's been going on WELL before this Orb sale, me and my husband have been having this sort of "crash" and full flash shut down for well over a year.
    the game just, dissapears.

we can now pretty much tell when it's going to happen because, mounts/wings are a shiny metallic white, fashion are their full metallic dyed color and just sometimes when porting from one city to another, mostly Tideborn or Earth Guard main city.

Oh and I got **** 3 days ago, i traced the IP that was in my ingame notifications and ended up at the JPNIC umbrella company who host and register/monitor these IP's on that continent. It's registered under a Internet company in Japan and wont list me it's user's adress or else i would of given it to you.
(But if you are willing to actually solve this, and show you read people's post, feel free to message me and i will give you all the details i have, cause of course... my ticket got autoresponded)

what ever you were trying to accomplish with Sihndra's post, it failed.
I have NEVER used any third party programme or site, and always charged through pwi or the game cards.

i never got the notification my password was changed either so it wasn't you guys, cause i still regularly use the email my PWI acount is registered on. Yet i could not log into my acount with the password i used.
I thankfully got my acount back by resetting it, and that email i DID get into my email inbox.
I logged back in with the result nothing was taken, but my login screen showed a character i did not log off of the night before.

why dont they just say"we noticed that people would buy the +11 and +12 orbs and sell them for 240m(+11) and 300m(+12) after the sales and then people wouldnt need to put money on the game"
That to me is what is ment BY client based problems lol

QQin in the wrong forum. flood the china version with QQ instead, dirctly at the source, you may get better info that way. after all it's the DEVS that would have found this "problem" and acted on it but telling the GMs to pull the orbs out.

Yes, you must be right because, as a computer science major, you must know PW's code and how it all works and ties in together.

let's say the chance of a +12 orb crashing the client upon you gettng it is .1% chance.

now, how many of these orbs will you buy? more than one, right? the more you buy the more likely it is to crash (if that's the case) it could also have been a server-side error in how these orbs are coded. one wrong hex CAN EASILY crash something.

    There is no hex however.

15049 and a few quantity and binding checkboxes is all they need to use for the cashshop.

Seriously, if there was a problem, it would affect everyone who bought /used them or there was no problem. This isnt some graphics issue that will only affect certain PCs or a connection issue that only affects certain people, its an unchangable (For the user) number they click on.

And do you know how its written to the server? Its in a .conf or a .data file the you edit. Both of which can be read and edited with the nano command on the linux server and in notepad on a normal PC. Hex runs everything, but the hex is fine or you wouldnt even be able to CREATE the orbs. Were talking values, not data. IF the data is corrupt, it wouldnt work, everyone would crash trying to make / use it, but it works fine. The only issues would be an invalid value and if that were the case, again EVERYONE WHO BOUGHTIT WOULD CRASH.

    Hex =/= client crashes occasionally.
