Caster Only Nirvana

That means if all bosses are physical immune ..no sweet damage from veno pets
Unless you got a pet with an elemental damage skill I guess.. but if it's any like the normal vana, pets will be too squishy to live it .. hmm.

Must find out more and try xD

Believe it or not but I'm happy with this... Otherwise ppl might have made a limitation of taking Herc-veno's only... Now I can just teach my Snow-Hare a magic move instead and still be taken... b:victory

Well one thing for sure: I'm not gonna replace hercs bash with an elemental skill. lol
Might as well level my little shadou cub and give him one I guess o.o They seem to be pretty tough

So I just did this on my mystic.

Epic fail, it went pretty much exactly like my fist regular nirvana run on psy.

Actually had to tell one of our 2 clerics to stop using plume shot, after like 5 times telling them this was caster mode.

We get to Demonic sovereign and then everyone dies over and over and over.

I only died once though. I was the only one left alive and tried to send out crag since the boss was almost dead. The 2 clerics died so fast that rebuffing them was not happening.

It was hard enough to do when they were running away from me the whole fight.

IDK what the deal is with that boss. We whip its *** down to around 30% and then everyone just stops attacking and runs around like they are on fire.

Actually they might have been on fire, idk I was to busy spam healing myself and launching crag at it since I had aggro 99% of the time the 3 times we tried to kill it.

I can't even use mistress in there after the first 2 bosses, so its basically thicket and crag when I wasn't constantly rebuffing the dead clerics. I gave up buffing others when I literally couldn't keep enough mp to do so when cooldown ended.

If its still random aggro great, if not that means that the wiz and psy weren't attacking it at all. idk what the herc was doing or the veno controling it.

I figured that if I was the one getting smacked around, and living easily through it, that they would take the time to rez and buff and attack its backside.

Crying in the corner seemed to be contagious. So I wasted about 200 herbs a few hp pots a lot of cloud eruptions and have jack to show for it as one cleric said

"I did this before (i assume on another toon or thats a lie) and we got cannys in every chest so that if someone says they didn't they are lying"

They magically got 3 or 4 chests (on random) and surprise NONE of them had any cannies. then they said that the other squad must have just been lucky. I'm sure its perfectly legit, but it struck me as extremely funny.

Its **** like this that turns me off from nirvana.

I mean I really appreciate that I can get a squad easy, but all it means is that the people that weren't wanted in a squad b4 can all get together and fail now.

No offense to the squad I was with, we did fine up to DS EX. Its just frustrating to not know what you could have done better.

No one had a charm, but if thats required then meh. I hardly ever die on mystic so I don't really see a need for one, unlike on psy, and didn't have much of a problem surviving the boss. I was the only one with over 5k hp though and it probably would have help the others when they were scattered to the corners of the room for the whole fight.

Theres 95% of your problem. The only one with over 5k HP? holy ****.

Also the Plume Shot + Phy immune is quite lolsome, but it can be forgiven, its rare a cleric has to think outside of cycling Wield - Plume - Whirl - Plume - Whirl - Plume - Wield or similar. Ive spent time swearing at myself for casting Razor Feathers in similar situations b:surrender

Is this new nirvana forbidden to melee classes, or are there just only physical immune bosses?
If so, could it be interesting to bring a BM to HF all the time? Are the bosses there hf-able?

Any tips for killing Demonic Sovereign EX in either mode?

Cause of the few times I've run nirvana both times I've gotten this boss it wiped out.

People seem to think its just like wolf in FF, only he just keeps spamming his aoe and 1-2 shots people from quite a range.

I don't really want to get this shiny new mode handed to me and then be unable to get my loot tomorrow either b:sad

The other area we had an issue with was the adds on the 3rd boss I think. The vampire? They splode. I was trying to kill them but idk how many others were, and they blow up pretty quickly.

Only casters are allowed to form squads. Try to bring a melee and it won't trigger or something.

You know I kinda feel sorry now for the melee and aps build veno's out there... They might wanna restat now and maybe ragequit for spending so much money in their precious aps (not to forget the ridiculously expensive Hercs wich are pretty useless in here)... b:chuckle

Are you talking about the special boss Demonic Sovereign that aoe stuns and spawns adds that debuff your physical resistance? Not sure if the bosses are set up the same.

Well I am a seeker but I am not gong to quit. I will form squad or do something else, the best I can do an if nothing happens I take a break and come back till it's no longer possible . Yes I am annoyed but what ya can do, I am used to having to work hard for squad, I farm now days for faction and myself. There are other things then nirvana and I prepared to do it as long as I make 500k a day I don't mind lol. Yup seeker and I proud, I play for fun nOt win. Leave that for real life!!

I sympathize but to be honest... even if Seekers were allowed in there, lets face it... your magic damage is absolute **** compared to the other casters. Thus you would basically still find your class discriminated against by traditional casters in world chat when looking for Caster Nirvy squads... much like casters themselves are discriminated against by aps in normal Nirvana today !

I know seeker magic is **** besides after we are suppose to be like battle mages as melee wizards. So forget the caster, as for the normal well like nirvana normal hard but not impossible if ya keep trying or get friends. Besides delta is the most desirable and I do have friends that do it. I also know fella seekers like me that don't delta alot or nirvy or heavy cash buy like me. There are other ways just slower but I don't mind because as long as I love my class that doesnt matter. Actually everyone is really discrmated somewhere, fc casters not as easy to get as for seeker and aps(sins and BMs and the rest) and clerics, for tt all dd 's except aps and barbs and cleric. Delta aps and non aoe users and so and so.

Seeker can fit into nirvana but aps dominates so really it's down to the people. Some do invite others don't. Ya be suprised in how many people aren't high aps lol.

the quest fails for all of us when they start the quest from the priest , I tried it today with me (Seeker) and rest were all mag classes . In the end I had to leave the squad b:surrender

I just did a run with a bm in the squad so idk why it worked/doesn't for you.

We had a great squad, but 4th boss demonic sovereign still almost wiped us. I guess there really isn't an easy way to kill that thing. Cleric didn't bb though, didn't know if they could.

Last boss was super easy, it even seemed to give out ful chi and buffs randomly.

So now I have my very first rapture crystal b:dirty

Gonaa hop on psy and get another one. Then I'm gonna breed them...

Not all mystic pets. Storm Mistress can work in there for her metal attack, and Sally can work for the buff aspect. I'm almost certain that a veno can put a magic skill on a pet to make it do damage too.

Speaking of which, I remember in my squad, there was a veno who was adamant about using her herc to keep aggro. We had to point out that everything's phys immune, hence herc=useless. Then she tried to bring up the reflect on him...*facepalm*
