Ya I do admit that my axes are low, but im a dex/vit built BM so dont really have the str for anything much better (for now at least, unless I restat to less vit).

As for my genie, it's now 64/90 at level 97, trying to get it to 100 hoping it gets 7 lucky points to just add alpha male to it. I do use Bolt of Tyeraus (79 skill) if all breaks loose while I wait to get alpha male, does hel pto stop them in their tracks and give me time to regen a bit of chi to stun as soon as they unfreeze, or simply charge to them to HF if I use WIll of bodhiva before to not get myself frozen as well.

As for second wind..My genie has 72 str so it does give me a very quick 2k hp. If I would go with tree of protection with that much str on genie, would have to time it very carefully else charm would tick each time. I will see about that.

Alpha male is damn near a must for BM in delta (unless your DDs are crazy hax anyway), make a new genie if you need to, it doesn't need high LP, just enough levels to max alpha male.

As others have stated, your magic defense is rather low.

That involves resetting a bit of dex and vit into str, one intermediate reset all note at 5 gold will cover it. All the gear including the reset would cost about 30 mil on DW, not sure about your server. It would also increase your damage output with fists considerably without changing your survivability much at all. The axes don't need to be those in particular, or refined to +5, that's just an example; your main job in delta is stun>hf, but dealing as much damage as you can always helps. Either of the FC Gold poleaxes is awesome as well, and require less str, but they cost more and BMs really don't need much or any vit at endgame (for pve, with TT/legendary gear and decent shards/refines).

I don't know if anyone mentioned but it's also good to level glacial spike and myriad sword stance for delta, even if you just switch to npc weapons to use them then back to axes to aoe. By the middle of a full delta you should have enough chi auras to spam every chi using skill you got, throwing a GS on top of an HF makes waves go down a lot faster, and myriad can help when your main aoe DDs are taking a real pounding.


Ninja edit: Undisputed Dominator are a great weapon..... look into the reset and sleeves/cape/ornaments now.

Update..(For those who care to give me insight)

Dicthed the calamities finally (yay), and got Undisputated Dominator +2 for now.

Attack with them went from 3300-5400 to now 4600-6003..sounds much better, what do you think ?

Ty for that, but as I can see, I really don't have the str for scarlet axes and dont really feel restating, BUT, I do plan on getting a swindler's neck now and "borrow" my barb's demon slaugter belt for when I plan to go delta.

As for the eternal alpha male question, yah I understand, I will see what I can do...

in a good squad the barb can handle most of the aggro
and in a good squads the dds can handle the few remaining mobs
the bm is only damage multiplicator +stun

spamming all weapons ultimates with occational stuns (cloud eruption anyone?)

most mobs need to die before the barb starts loosing aggro
sword ultimate was damage reduction? use that too

90% of the squad success depends solely on the barb imo
blaming the bm is just wrong

I always carry my sword (lvl 99 purple Lonesky blade with str +10), my spear (Dragon bite), my fists (duh) and now my dual hammers (Undisputed whatever), I have all my 59 ultimates learned although they are not maxed just yet cause concentrated on maxing HF and getting demon skills. I think Glacila is like lvl 7 and Myriad at 8 right now.. A x12 Hypered Fc full run would take care of that, or a couple cube runs + marriage quest

And I do have cloud eruption on genie and at 72 str, simply love it, chi ganied is pretty nice

I did a hour session vos grind to see what its like over the weekends. Its still possible to make 1 mil just by purely npcing drops. Take off the 60k that I had to pay for repairs (plus 2 charm ticks when I was distracted by chat)... i only use the pots that i pick up... the profit is still there. Although it would be nice to bring a 2nd character as looter... majority of stuff disappeared until some veno showed up and started to take the leftovers. ...Why the obsession with alpha male on bm's? It pulls aggro untill the next zhen aoe tick then it swaps right over to the DD. Kinda useless consideirng you could pop CE and have another HF/GS ready to go depending on cooldowns. Plus if theres enough mobs left that its a threat to the barb...your more or less condeming a squishy to 1k.

tl;dr If your squad has anythign but +life mobs left over after 3 minutes your goign to fail anyways and alpha male cant really help that.

Just hit roar/MSS when you see somones charm tick/somone go under 1/2 hp and spam your ultis + use bolt of T to hold runners down for HF+arma+zhen

Delta is heavily DD based a +10 DD and demon HF will wipe half the mobs hp without even considerign the rest of the squad at spawn on later waves. With a full squad of even +5 rank 8 DD's there should be no issue. **** geared toons may as well suck it up and splurg for a charm. In the "pro" days of +3 tt 90 delta those were more or less mandatory.

1st succesful bh run (Wave 2)

Ohh, i'm not on Sir_Puma, well , just read my name upside down and think im on my good account.. Anyway..

Went well, no deaths, but everyone left at wave 3 saying "they will stun now b:shocked"

MIght have been able to get to wave 5 for Glacial Tear the way it was going.

Also was left with no timer when all left squad, so explored it a bit, the 4 npc's to see for celebeans and such and I know as well now how to activate auras and such. So been a good learning "on the field" experience. Now just have to upgrade my Undisputated Dominator to like +5 and i'll be rocking.

I didnt yet get alpha male cause I viewed it same as above poster who said something like "leaves more energy to CE more often" Yah, exactly, when no chi aura is on, it helps a lot to keep Ultimates going and stun/Bolt of Tyreaus in need.

Thanks all for your tips and tactics/links and whatever, it went ok.

Now to try a squad that will go wave 5..b:surrender
