Do you guys remember PWI back in the old days where you actually needed a squad to get through Instances? - Every fail power lvler can solo instances now.
Do you remember when every class was needed in a party, when every role counted? - "Looking for 5.0asp bm for XXX"
Do you remember when people had to do their daily quests to lvl up? - "Looking for power lvl paying X mil"
Do you remember when having more than 25mil gold was ALOT of gold? - Every zen buyer has over 100mil now.
Do you guys remember the old days?...
Thank you pwi for ruining the magic of this game.

If its drama you want,go to cash shop section.
I simply made this topic to state the differences betweel the "old" PWI and the "New" PWI which focuses on cash shoppers mostly.
I really dont need trolls,kid.
So lets just come in peace.0 -

Sadly, (or maybe not so much so), these were already out of style before I started Kritty.

Casting Elven Alacrity on a squad member and watching him running around like crazy ... priceless b:laugh0

I recall about all that kind of various deeply-entrenched memories that now float around anew, and I feel sad for how things turned out to be. b:surrenderMaintenance time. Please choose a line:

I was determined to get that purple horse.
I quit for quite a while, came back and they were in the cash shop.
Which is why I am now determined to get the new dq point reward **** horse to settle the score.
And yes I remember those cute little inventory fillers that now give me a hundredth of a percent b:cute

Fine, ill play along lol
I remember when I would grind for a day so that I could earn the REALLY HIGH price of 400k for a gold charm b:shocked
I remember when HH80 gold 4 socket was the scariest gear you could imagine b:shocked
I remember when venos were the main source of QQ
I remember when I thought a level 50 veno I met was the most powerful person I would ever see xD
I remember when I first started rpking and you would leave safe zone... AND SEE PEOPLE!
Along with that... I remember turning level 30 and dying almost instantly because there were so many pkers.
I remember when Secret Passage was a place to be feared as a lowbie... and I loved it for it. Kept me on my toes and felt soooooooo good when I finally snuck past RageQuit in there.[sigpic][/sigpic]

I for one believe the magic is still here, it is just hiding in a cave somewhere, just biting it's time waiting to pounce on us all when it is most needed.
It kind of like the magic is dying, and needs a hero/heroine to save it from the evil chimels. QQ They are plotting world domination still being here and all. ;X Me thinks they might be getting close to it too. =o
Anyways...
I have a lot of remember whens... I guess the one that speaks out to me the most, is that...
I remember when I actually had a reason to log into the game, and people were still playing their 'first'... main character, I would look across the street and recognize the person standing not to far from me. I also remember the days when i could look beside me, and be proud that I was standing next to an "Elite" player... someone to look up to. =xAh, Mistakes are so easily made. ~ laura resnick

sometimes i fly to mines to buff low levels and cry inside cause there are only 2-3 players.
When i started to play almost 2 years ago, its been always full of people and you made your first good friends there due the timed quest to kill mobs- b:cryIf i m trolling and spamming on forum...then i cant sleep and need a good laugh0 -
ColdSnow - Dreamweaver wrote: »sometimes i fly to mines to buff low levels and cry inside cause there are only 2-3 players.
Not really. My psy is always getting KSed there. There are just too many players and not enough mobs.0 -
I remember spawning at the starter zone and lagging because of the large amount of people there
(....I then promptly wandered off to a level 40 mob area and got myself killed countless times, thinking that eventually I would succeed in killing that level 40 tree. This was my first game, and I came in with nobody to teach me, I was noob-zilla xD)0 -
I remember when a lot of factions were recruiting all lvls, and that the people that joined weren't someones alts...
I remember going in faction chat like: OMG... are the serious >.>? they going like b:question
The want me to kill a lvl 100 boss! <
they: is it kunkun? b:chuckle
b:embarrass
I remember when it was amazing when people managed to kill a world boss...
I remember when there were actually world bosses... they get killed now before I even manage to see them @__@"[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

In fact, mobs are not only lacking in numbers but also not spread enough... Take the Quillhog Enchanters for example. There are tons of their cousins (the Magus ones) but the enchanters are a pain to find on the hills. The other ones are around those pesky, stupid werewolves.
Claiming 'ownership on kills' then makes a fair source of dispute.
I could go on with white-eyed wolfkins and tectonic rhinodrakes.
And given the silly timed cooking quest (btw, the list of ingredients makes me hungry... not), which not only has a fairly distant NPC to take the quest and claim rewards from (at least it is a one hour limit task) but also asks for mobs dwelling in that region... You can easily see why this ks fest is unavoidable and still much alive.Maintenance time. Please choose a line:

I remember first seeing Sword Tamer randomly one day. I went to google and looked him up and saw posts about how "no one has ever beat him" and it was "impossible" b:surrender[sigpic][/sigpic]

I remember when i saw mantavip and thought that was the toughest boss in the game.
I remember when ppl actually DID mantavip d.o.d,crimson etc etc.
I remember when d.o.d stood for Dragon Of the Depths.
I remember spiders spot, fish spot, nightscream, etc etc.
I remember perditioning someone and as long as they were not heavy armor, that was a confirmed kill.
I also remember that nothing is constant and if not for change, there would be no PROGRESS.
So memories are memories. Look to the FUTURE.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
A GOAT always THINKS it's a lion......untill it meets a REAL LION!!!!!0 -
I remember poking it once... then being like.. woops or dropping from HT going like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU move your *** stupid sword tamer DX
running into dipter on my mount...
running into cenminator for a herb... b:surrender
Also... I remember when mobs didn't show how much hp they had in numbers... would make you think that you weren't harming the TT bosses at all at first o.o;[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I remember the very first fashion added to the boutique.
I remember the day they added Israfel to the Boutique (2 weeks later, I bought one, and months later, upgraded it. I still have this Israfel).
I remember doing FB19 in a squad of 4 venos and a Cleric, and not a single person in that squad was over level 19.
I remember when the quests were almost unreadable because of poor translation. The Gold trading guide was the worst, and took the longest to fix.
I remember when this game required skill to play...101 Sage Sin*/Archer
100 Demon BM*/Barb
96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
95 Demon Wiz/
94 Sage Veno
85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

I avoid doing this quest now. The reward is not worth the pita of trying to kill the mobs in that time limit without getting ks'ed into oblivion.0 -

I do it at odd hours, and during the week. Never have problems with it.
The pots can be sold for quite a bit of coin to an NPC. Well worth it IMO.101 Sage Sin*/Archer

In fact, I did it as all of my characters, in solo mode, except the earthguards. I wait until I get my lv 30 wings (to go back to the dude on foot, no thanks) and obviously am much stronger to beat mobs. Faster kills means little to no ks from others (I am not kind to ksers anyway, I retaliate in kind, once, to show how it's annoying to be a victim of it), and navigating back and forth is then a piece of lie, I mean a piece of cake.
People tend to bully wolfkins much more, so I wait at a spawn point.
As for centipex, I go to about where you catch the winged tiger, where people hardly quest (at least in HT), but again they are not as popular as the canines.
So yeah, that quest is easily doable in those conditions... You should try it.
Edit: Lowest settings may give you an edge there too.Sarrafeline - Sanctuary wrote: »I do it at odd hours, and during the week. Never have problems with it.

I remember when Fists were considered noob, and Vit Axe build was the only way to go.
I remember when reaching level 80 was an achievement.
I remember when my faction lost due to a failure on the GM's part to tell us flying was enabled in TW (UnLimited vs. BloodLusT I believe).
I remember when full flawless sharded gear was OP.
I remember when gold was 100k.
I remember FB's were called FB's rather than "tabbed BHxx."
I remember when we still called the Barb a werebeast.
I remember when RageQuit was hated by the entire Lost City.
I remember when Mieze abandoned UnLimited.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Didn't get the rest of it, but apparently I am the "destroyer of sin haters" as well.0 -

I haven't heard a Barb called a werebeast, nor a Veno called a werefox, nor a Cleric called an elf priest, nor an Archer called an elf archer, nor a Blademaster called a warrior, nor a wizard called a mage, in over a year. I have though heard a few times TT referred to as HH, but for some reason people are getting the impression it means "Hwilight Hemple." Honestly, the things these people come up with really amuses me. Whether that started as a joke or someone being serious, I don't know. I just know it is enough to make me laugh and remember my days playing Perfect World before PWE.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
