Oh, I have no doubt. I never said it WASN'T about taking the map. My point wasn't that it didn't want the map. (Edit: see robs post below about war machine - I never thought of it that way, but yea, we kinda were). My point was that it didn't want the map at all costs. I've said it before, but one of my fondest memories was when some 100 barb (at a time when 100s, let alone 100 barbs, were very few and very far between) showed up late for TW or showed up without signing up or whatever and Rob said, basically, no special treatment, not for anyone, not ever.

A far cry from letting some of the biggest Narla bashers into the faction because we were afraid we couldn't handle an impulse, faction X, faction Y gank without losing land. A far cry from fake bidding. A far cry from cutting deals to not attack this faction or that faction to allow them to do this or that.

See my reference to MORE about taking the map, and LESS about excellence, etc. - both were there, its just in one case one was more important, and in the other, well, the only thing that was important was the map.

Again, I don't want to rehash old history, but I don't want to let the revisionists do it either.

But aside from Narla being designed to be a war machine, it was also designed to be a place where people could find new friends, and create a family atmosphere. From what I could tell, and from what people still tell me, that was successfully done, while I was leading it. (Insert QQ/Rage pieces from people who obviously were jealous of what Narla had and worked for here because their own fail asses couldn't lead a herd of sheep to green pastures).

Make no mistake, as with all families, we as a faction had our ups and downs. People got mad, complained, stomped off. Nothing is ever perfect, and to pretend that our **** smelled like roses is just not the way I handled it. I made it a point to never sugarcoat anything. I never made alliances behind everyone's back, while I was leading, I made it clear that we stood alone, and we depended on no one. I didn't make sneaky deals, pay anyone off, or conspire against anyone. I didnt have spies all around, I could care less. I didn't listen to rumors and I didn't believe any information that came through, no matter how well I trusted the person giving it to me upon their own free will.

I enjoyed my time with the people I played the game with (even if they did backstab me by talking **** about me after I left), and I hope, in return, they did as well. That was the point of Narla, while also kicking everyone's ****. Hey, its not my fault most factions on this server just fails at being competitive. *shrugs*

P.S. I am seriously getting tired of defending the faction that I created and built, that I can't even get back, because Tamias and Kaiser want to not give it back to me after my several attempts, and am getting tired of defending my own self and the ideals that I carry.

Well, wasn't going to go there but since you did. Seriously, you make me laugh, you really do. You strut around acting to the server like you were God's gift to leadership. I pointed out the one and ONLY quality you had in leadership and I will give you it was a good one. You were extremely good at presenting yourself to the faction one way while you raged in Officer Meetings blaming everyone for things you couldn't accomplish. OMG....get over yourself, LOL. Oh, and I might point out you were also good at knowing when to jump ship and bail and leave throw the whole thing in someone else's hands because of apparent "real life changes so I can't play the game anymore" when you saw that Narla was starting to have so many internal issues you were not going to be able to turn it around while all along you simply started a hidden alt. Yes, and now you play the poor victim and continue to try and blame others for poor Narla's ruined reputation. I wonder, why is it if you were such a great leader people have not flocked back to your new faction? You make me laugh, really, you do. EDIT: What I wrote was quoted, and I am sure has been looked at by many. While I am still angry, I feel that I must retract my harsh words. They were uncalled for, and I apologize if any personal feelings were hurt regarding a certain someone's dusty panties. How would I know if such panties are dusty or not? I wouldn't, and I apologize for assuming.

when i first came to Archo server, i joined a low lvl faction, my intentions were to first lvl up and then join up with the most logical faction, as in logic in terms of TW, i saw narla doing good moves and so one fine day pmd who the leader, first question asked was

1) Which server you from ?
2) Intentions and goals on map and TW ?

answer i got were

1) Sanctuary ~ +1

2) Take the map and give it back ~ +10

i would like you to emphasize on 2nd answer, it was there in the begining, yeah what we as in me and mango did was streamline the process under rob leadership, which included the cornering of Immunity. But yeah later on the attitude did change a lot aand successs went up to the head and the results are visible.
