Go fight Nemesis, it doesn't mean that upon doing so Rescind will be the benevolent faction to bring the golden age of TW. No faction is an Augustus after all.

Well I just got done reading this and the other thread. Interesting reading and shows a lot about the character of people posting in it. You know the biggest problem on this server is all the people that are all up in other peoples business instead of just minding their own. This goes for everyone and I am not saying I am innocent. The most I ever cared about any other faction was about how many people were in it and an average level. The extent that I see other people worrying about the inner workings of other factions is just, well, appalling to say the least. Don't bother replying on here as I wont read it, but feel free to pm me in game if you actually want to do something that matters such as BH, Nirvana, FC, Etc....

One thing I can say about Nemesis is that they don't try to force feed their own agenda to the general mass, at least not publicly. Behind the scenes, maybe, I don't know, and I don't care. It comes with the politics of War. They do what they want, and thats the way it should be.

Well, the thing you missed maybe was that they would say one thing and do another, so it wasn't really FORCING anything. It was telling them that what they were doing and what they were saying weren't the same thing.

I myself would prefer directness and honesty (be it called force feeding or not) to deception, manipulation and trickery. But that's just me I suppose.

Now? I think alot of us have realized it was not, in most cases, naive ignorance but intentional deceit (to wit your "behind the scenes" allusion is apropo). And with TW pay an guild bases, as I've pointed out, there is little anyone can do to keep this server unique in the way that we had an opportunity to do just that.

I don't agree with it at all. But I DO like it. By forums standards, its almost poetic.

Narla/Nemesis has been shown (in many instances by its officers' own admissions on these forums) to:

1. Dodge competitors when they don't think they can win, including by using means in violation of the terms of service of the game.

2. Lock up apoth to withhold it from the rest of the server.

3. Cut secret deals with leaders of other major factions to interfer with smaller factions' ability to TW and obtain land, even from dissolved factions.

The other servers are FULL of factions that, though dominant, don't use their dominant position to do these types of things that are destructive to the server as a whole. And there is certainly nothing to indicate that Elusive or Rescind ever had, or ever would, do anything of the kind.

If you don't get into other peoples business, what fun is there to be had here? If all these discussions or, "drama" as everyone loves to call it did not exist. I honestly believe this server would be as entertaining as staring at a loading screen. Everyone complains, but I think secretly, even if they don't know it yet, are enjoying themselves. It's uniting and breaking online relationships, now that will keep you entertained.

As for me, I am afraid my, "bad boy" days are over ever since reality checked in. The positions of who supports who is slowly shifting towards me as the supporter from my family, mind you I am only 22. Final year of college(a real major, sry engineers have massive ego's on this topic) while constantly applying for jobs. There is also nothing that would suggest Rescind wouldn`t do any better. On other hand we got faction that may be the loudest, on other hand we got faction that has been punished for breaking ToS by fakebidding. Now Rescind hasnt been taking actions to step over the line when it comes to game rules, only argument one might argue for nothing to change is that power corrupts. For this, we`d have to compare other servers and dominant factions on those, to see if it`s something that is happening everywhere or simply here. I myself dont have time to go and dig for those, yet Blood did say it`s unique that is only happening on our server.

I hadn't been around to see Narla take the map because I took a hiatus from the game, and then only a few months after I came back, my computer went on the fritz and I was without it for about 5 months. So, I don't necessarily know the history. I also just distrust anyone I don't know, and unfortunately, though I know of Rescinds leadership members, I do not know any of them, so I distrust them.

Now, I do not know when Elusive first started taking on Narla, but after searching these forums, the earliest I can see is in September 2010. If that really is when they started, then I think I may have more reason to be distrustful since that was after the change of TW pay to Mirages. With it going back, I'm doubtful anyone would want to give up such profitable land.

I do hope you are right though and Rescind does not become corrupt. I'm going to stay pessimistic about this though and let time tell its tale.

To ignore your appareant issues and distrust with Elusive, I do point out something. Narla/Nemesis has never, I repeat never, allowed providing 1k apos to others, like IGs for example. I was in Narla week before they took 1k, I can tell you, the talks bout how there might be spies in narla that would provide those apos to Impulse too. The original narla itself was against letting anybody to even sell apos outside faction and suggestions of that were seen as some serious crime. The spirit passed along into mangos narla, which was actually even more against it than the original narla, which I find hard to be even possible.

Then we get Darkside, they take 1k. You can go to west and buy IGs from kittyshop, something you couldnt do during narla rule, I remember getting ~30 or so myself. Now Nemesis comes along, takes 1k, apos get locked, again. I can remember instances of drama due somebody inside Nemesis providing IGs to outside Nemesis, I wasnt directly part of that drama but I can remember it was pretty harshly judged. Yet Nemesis has never admitted being against competetive TWs, heck, when there were talks bout how they could make TWs more competetive, it was said allowing others access to 1k apos might help the situation. That was month ago and you can go look at west, you wont find kittyshop selling 1k apos, even when they were taking suggestions "seriously", lol.

Elusive took RT, which is only place to make awarness 30+ lvls apos, you could buy those apos at west, as long as the land was owned by elusive. So even if Rescind would take map, roll everybody, situation would be better than it`s under the mango rule. That is for people who could use apos for whatever they need, if it was up to mango, rest of the server would never see any land specific apos. The core players of Elusive, that are now mostly in Rescind, have history backing them up, we never locked any apo. So to your average Joe, wouldnt Rescind be better in anything cept allowing access to apos for others, things would be better than what they are now. I do find it damn hard to believe that it would be the only difference, though I`m not gonna stretch this post any further to talk bout things harder to prove.

And Fruit is not solely responsible for 'locking up 1k' while in Narla. I claim all responsibility for any TW actions that were taken up until the last TW I attended while leader of Narla. This includes the surrounding of 1k Streams.

'Locking up 1k for apoth' is an old tactic, that nearly every major TW faction practices. Its common sense, really, deny your competitors your biggest advantage. Unfortunately, its predictable and played out, and IG really dont matter much as much as they used to.

at the end of the day there were those that were genuinely selfless and did stuff for other people in the one way it matters most when its all said and done, the experiences, and those that pulled every string possible to advance a reputation they wanted or their own gear. those people blow smoke and shout conjecture all day long in the face of the only thing anybody opposed to their BS ever tried to argue. not that their bad people, but that based on what actually happened because of what they said or more importantly DID, some of 'em supported competitive TW's and others did everything in their power against them because it wasn't on their terms to where they'd feel comfortable. yes, comfortable. and I asked myself how that could be. that...the one thing stopping so many people from stepping out of their phony images on the internet to break barriers and just straight have fun, was because they weren't comfortable. like really? you got called a carebear and thats why you're upset? a bear? a ****ing bear?

then it occurred to me that a server full of two-faced liars who take offense to being called a mammal and/or bro simply is not worth signing on anymore. i look forward to hearing about how archosaur turns out after the map reset while its in your guys trusty hands, i'll be on league lolz.
