And it depends. That ol Jones Blessing + Chill of the Deep still packs a pretty damn heavy punch. I could probably override the defence levels enough to kill you in one hit with a good 2spark crit b:sin

Befuddling mist is aoe (small aoe, frontal cone, but it's there) - and whaddya know, so is malefic crush. It's ****, since it's mainly designed as a mana-destroyer, but it does do damage too.

Still - you're right; a wizard will outdamage us (though we can seriously improve a wizards damage if mindreak lands)

But we still do a half-decent job of AOEing, that's hard to dispute.

Edit:
I'd note that cycle uses 2 sparks for nova, then another 2 for malefic - so you'll not be doing it until a couple of bean auras have bene set up.

Does Jadsia forget that we can see her buffs? So it's not like we actually look at your chi bar to see if you sparked. . .we can see it clearly in your buffs.

"Sprays a bewitching fog" - not exactly the best descripting ever, is it?

You soon find out it has an aoe when you use it at a low level and aggro a bunch of peaceful stuff by accident, though.

Actually, if you have leveled nova and malefic crush, both do higher damage than wizard dragon breath (noxious and befuddling mist do not). But they are slow and you would need some channelling gear to out dps a wizard with them. But if you have that channelling gear and the chi to burn, and the leveled skills, the only remaining obstacle would be cooldowns (and your extra mobility could be a very good thing).

Meanwhile, I have done delta runs with no attack auras and level 6 chi aura -- its a lot of fun, since triple spark works if you have no attack aura.

thunder_fist?! I knew him, we were in Equinox_ Harshlands together for a while.
He's one of the few decent Psychics on Harshlands...and just think, he didn't have to CS to get there. That's why I don't respect UrDian as much as I do Longknife....anybody who has to buy their way to the top just isn't cut out for it in my book. That's why I liked Born_Free so much.

It's easy to fool with pics. That's why I asked for the character info to be open to prove mag attack.

Not a chance in hell. Theres a reason I dont attack barbs, and thats because I really struggle to take them out

You can't really calculate this for a few reasons.

1) Myriad is random effect and boosts all dd
2) Demon Nova is AoE amp
3) Veno has mix of wood and patk for AoE. Some mobs are fire immune or mag resist, and pdef isn't always same as mdef
4) My channeling is triple that of -21% (-63%) while wiz DB DPS is not affected by -ch.
5) Burst dmg during HF (noxious/nova/noxious first or even combining Myriad with HF -assuming Wiz stays in DB)

Malefic isn't **** -lol. Patk on mag weapons increases better than matk with refines, and L11 of the skill adds 7556.0 dmg to this. Even a pure mag veno is going to do significant AoE dmg with Malefic, and there's always the chance of it hitting during a Subsea, Tangling Mire, and HF which would make it potentially easily out dmg a non boosted Noxious. It's far more useful than standing around like I've seen of some venos in RB do

Typically a veno isn't going to be AoE'ing until bean auras are up, and if they are: mobs are typically dead before it matters. I also left out the occasional Master Li's Technique and the occasional s.Venemous for boosting chi. Cloud Eruption or Chi Siphon can also take care of chi problems, but then some may prefer triple sparking Nova.
