    The real point that should be made is that aps should be capped at 3.0.

    There is no 3.0 attack speed.

    And as always, a poll in this forum is completely useless in terms of affecting the game change. All it does is bring QQers and ppl that QQ about QQers.

    ... If they changed the cap to be 3.0, then sure as hell there would be 3.0 attack speed. It'd just be that you'd have 2.86, then 3.0, 3.0, 3.0 instead of 2.86, 3.33, 4.0 and 5.0.

    Though ... why 3.0? What's the reasoning behind such an arbitrary number? Other than being the closest integer that wouldn't allow for perma-sparking, I see no reason for 3.0. Well, IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 is a good mouse, but I doubt that's related.

    Look at it programming wise. The game is programed through interval to "wait XX second, attack, wait xx second". It'd be dumb to have the last -0.05 interval from 2.86 sparked to only take off 0.01666666 of your interval. It'd be at 3.33 APS if somehow they decided to cap it around there. I'm just pointing out that he's yelling "should be at 3.0 aps!" when he doesn't understand the game mechanics.

    This won't be possible now, too many already have 5 APS, so that they would get mad if max APS would be changed to 3 or 4.

    Also, restoring balance by nerfing is not a good idea, i'd rather strenghten barbs agro skills so that they could actually do the job, make mages cast faster and increase damage dealt by archers. Or something like that xD.

    I'd like to see mage classes be able to use non magic weapons. Fist Fox Form would be very nice as an actual build, and not something half-assed. And Sins using weaps other than daggers would be pretty awesome... Not to mention, it's pretty inspiring watching a high level sin take out mobs in BH29 with a bow... I think Sins should actually get some bow skills? Isn't archery and ranged combat used in assassination?

    1. If you read some pages before we discussed that before. Archer should be doing more damage then a BM. As it was, but it isn't anymore. But the point is that end game Archers can deal more damage by using fist/claw then by using bow. And that is not how it should be.

    No I don't think it would be fair game to switch up what weapon works for which class given the age of the game. Blademasters are not deemed not useful because other classes can use those weapons as they have none of the skills associated with what makes a blademaster a blademaster. Yes they can equip the weapon but they cannot do anything other than regular attacks with them.

    1. I've seen that in game. But... before endgame, Archers do proportionally more damage than other classes. once my archer got Knockback, I no longer needed HP pots, and could really tear through quests, even faster than I can on a similar level Veno doing two mobs at once. Of course, I put a Mana Charm on my Archer (traded FB19 bow for it). Veno is double charmed (christmas charms from the other year + FB19 weap turnin).

    2. Yes, I've experimented with that... But... It's kinda useless getting stuck in FF until you relog, and being unable to heal pet/change equips/use any skills at all... Sorta pointless.

    3. Sins, Archers, and apparently Clerics use Fist/Claw (I ran into a Fist/bow cleric the other day, don't ask). Sins can use bow, too... Level 95 Sin friend of mine has Unicorn for ranged mobs/bosses with nasty AOE, and it is quite effective. I'm making a Bow for my Sin.

    Endgame needs some tweaks, I'll agree. I'd still like to at least be able to use skills with non magic weaps on my mage class characters. Use barehand value, or even a penalty on magic attack, but at least make them usable. o.O

    In order to get high DPS with fists/claws

    triple spark → autohit → triple spark → autohit, period.

    so no BM needed

    Reason why this change can never be implemented:


    A ) PWI will never remove 5 aps if they care anything for their income. 5 aps is the only reason PWI is making money on this game.





    B ) If PWI makes fists BM-only it will severely imbalance the game. To compensate they must either nerf BM's severely (again not happening due to the money people invested), or beef up other classes incapable of reaching 5 aps otherwise.



    What that means is you need to do more than triple the damage archer/wizard/psychic/cleric attacks to ensure they are dealing more damage. In the case of archers who were clearly meant to do more damage than BM's you need to pack in 1 shot the damage a BM does in 5....


    So what does that mean? Archers hit unholy amounts of damage on instance bosses and any monsters.


    Where does that go? Archers, Wizards, Clerics, and Psychics become the undisputed PvP classes able to 1 shot your measly 10K hp uncritted.











    So... its in PWI's best interest to see your weapon limitation never happens. Todays broken game is less broken than a game with your changes.

    Personally, I would scale back the aps cap to 3.33 or so... then we wouldn't have any of these problems. -_-

    How about us BM's get some of that easy to acquire Rank-Interval pieces?

    Or how sins can actually farm int daggers, I'd like to be able to farm int fist / claws.
    (Paying millions of coins just to open Lunar is NOT farming.)

    The thread reeks of "interval users" so it does. You wanna change up weps, then everyone should should be able to get the armor/stats they desire.

    Even with old lunar it was still cheaper to buy the Lunar Insignias than to farm lunar gear.

    Learn to farm then buy what you need.

    I have issues with supporting pack items, I think everything should be reasonably straight forward to acquire through the instance it comes from not purposefully gimped to favor cash shopping.

    But thats my personal opinion.

    I'm new to the forums. I'm old to Perfect World. If you've ever farmed any Lunar Gear, you know that getting all your gold mats from farming took months of hard work. You can put that hard work into farming to resell to buy the Insignias.

    P.S. My main is really on Sanctuary.
