Attack speed nerf,rumor or reality?

Today in faction chat a guy said that in one of the next patch the max attack speed will be nerfed from 5.0 to 3.0 as cap.
He said that on chinese version it is already done and devolpers gave a reset to anyone whit more than 3.0 unsparked...(even if stats don't influence the att.speed...)
Anyone can confirm or negate this?b:surrender

    I'm thinking the reset rumor is a lie. That would just be... a stupid thing to do. I'm not sure what's going on in the Chinese version, but these types of rumors have been circulating for months with nothing to support them. I wouldn't worry about it right now.

    Will not happen, if it does: devs are trying to balance the game instead of trying to maximize their money gain.

    If max was 3aps then there would be no insane pack spamming market for int tome/claws/cape so they wouldnt farm players for as much of their cash. So false rumor.

    You'd then get to see a massive amount of rage quitting and forum rage due to all the previously permasparkers now being not-so-permanent.

    You'd also observe Sage BMs, Sage Clawrchers and Sage Assassins becoming the preferred build as Demon Spark would've lost pretty much all of its shine.

    And of course, you'd get a lot of rage about PWI using "fixing the game" as an excuse to boost the sales of Boutique items, as in the Celestial Schism.

    Oh, and you'd see even more rage about 3-X TTs and Nirvana being too hard without permasparking.

    Obviously false since there is no 3.0 attack speed.

    I heard in China they already made claws archer only and the BMs went nuts. It's coming here soon! Some guy told me.

    Um, that's not actually a valid counter argument. There's no rule that says that you have to be able to reach the cap exactly with some setup. After all, the reason the attack speed currently works as it does it just funny rounding.

    No no, claws are really becoming archer only, and fists BM only. Atk speed wont be capped, but claws and fists dmg will be reduced by 50% (more balance, and more need for all 5 aps to refine higher = more cash for PWI). This girl told me she can read chinese, and she told me this will be implented in China in the next patch now, so it's true.

    You can also tame Harpy Wraith, use skills in catshop mode, walk on water, moonwalk in stealth and... ride motorcycles.

    All that is coming in the next patch.

    just checked in-game, claws/fists are still not restricted to any class. Will check for the next patch [wait 2 days : P]

    guess what, china said they're making PW a communist regime, and everyone has to build a certain way to contribute to society. and if you try to outlevel the rest of the status quo, you'll get 0 exp. all the maps will look the same under the new regime, and you can only play an alloted time per day. you will have to craft your own gear, and walk, slowly, from place to place to gather materials for honorable chairman archo elder.

    This would be nice however to rebalance the game... but too little too late even if they would do it now.

    Someday down the line, I'd imagine some nerf to APS - either making it decrease or increase. The same goes for claw to be only used for BMs. For now, it's just rumors, however "someday" - maybe years from now, assuming the game is still here, I'd expect some sort of nerf, whether it's good or bad, to be given in the game.

    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    Aisubeki, you're awesome! This basically sums up this newly released game I tried out. At least in Perfect World you're allowed to level as fast as you want.

    On topic - it wont happen. They picked 5.0 atk/sec at the start of the game and its has proven profitable. Also 5 atk/sec isn't that terrifying in PvP unless their claws happen to be +12 with two Drakeflames... DpS isn't important in PvP; you need DpH. Hence the advantage of Wizards and their ilk. As for PvE... well the Nien Event taught us all just how much more potent a 5 atk/sec class is than any other offensive class.

    Most players would probably ragequit, yes. It's simply because all that hard work in getting all that nice gear would be worthless. You would still be amazing in PK and all that, however you wouldn't be what you put your money in for... Players put not only real-life cash, but lots of hard work to get that gear, and if it became less insane than it is - people I assure you would be extremely upset. Also, nerfing it to Claws only usable on a BM, all the people that had restat and/or bought claws for other classes, would have to roll a BM to use them, essentially making their restat and claws completely useless. I dunno about some people, but if I would have went claw build and either spent lots of cash using real-life money, or just hard work in-game, and they nerfed my claws to BM-only... Lol, I'd be upset, yeah.

    I always thought Claws could be Barbarian only - Tigers - and Fists could be Human only. That would actually make sense. I mean I guess Elves have could clench their hands, but... archer doesn't bring to mind boxing.

    I call bull**** unless barb was amped and debuffed to hell. And really, that kinda combo requires a lot more than spark+auto-attack y'know. I think wiz kinda deserve to get a 1-shot seeing as otherwise we are screwed.

    And barb can use immunity skill, or def charm, and wiz is toast.

    I hit 5k with lvl10 BIDS on 4.5k mdef barbs with +7 tt99 weap. Normal hit, no debuffs or anything. I don't remember any weapon doing 3k+ damage, because that would be required to hit 30k crits.

    And if you want to be fair, against such a weapon, barb fails if he doesn't have +12 elemental ornaments. End of story.
