Afternoon everyone,


We will be having server maintenance tonight from:


11:00pm PDT until 1:00am PDT


And to kick off the usual maintenance conversation:



So now that you've had some time to get to know them, which event do you like better: Celestial Tiger or Nien Beast?

    Patch Notes Version 402
    Released August 24, 2010

    User Interface
    Fixed issue with Genie EXP bar not displaying correctly.

    Fixed an issue with monster quest kill counters not counting correctly.

    PWI Encyclopedia
    Fixed an issue with the client crashing while double clicking on required materials for Craft.

    Fixed required materials cut off text.

    Note: Some materials are still in Chinese when you double click the material.

    and its a tough on between the 2, eitherway to score high, u need some damn good gear and a plan on the celes tiger event.

    As for the question, I like the celestial tiger event better, I just wish it was more times a week. Nien was nice because it was everyday, although twice a day made it hard to plan instances around. :\

    NEITHER ONE

    Tigers - the contribution system is messed up somewhere out of 3 attempts have only been able to qualify 1 time. Even though coming in in the top 25 all 3 time. Also a guide on this event would be nice so far i have only been able to find 2 of the 8 tigers (the 2 at lost).

    Ruins - too many people for one instance needs to be something like CoA where there are at least 4 or more instances so that the amount of lag can be decreased. Or maybe limit the amount of players allowed in at one time like DT does.

    Nien was twice a day... Tiger is once a week, better rewards per event, yes. Better rewards? No.

    I prefer nien as it was more beneficial to me than the one day event. Got my TT99 gear done off nien... leveled a BM and cleric on the same account off nien... got extra sockets on said TT99 gear off nien... yeah I just don't see how the Tiger even is better in any way or form.

    I love the Celestial Tigers event more for several reasons.

    1) Interval wives actually have to DD because contri isn't shared on bosses.

    2) The reward stash isn't account stashable, so no more pack babies.

    3) The rewards are generally a little better. I got event gold for the second time last night, and I was in 15th. So you don't have to be top 10 for the good stuff anyway. And the day I get 1st place...and get like 3 lunar ornaments...will be the day that me and my fiance/in-game hubby will be set for the rest of our stay in game.

    Nien event was cool because it was twice a day, so available to more people. I never ranked higher than 9th in veno, but the rewards were pretty awesome for 15 minutes of "work" in game as long as you got the minimum necessary contribution points or higher . However, it seems a lot more people had a hard time getting the minimum contribution in Nien...

    I've only done the tiger event once, but it was fun too. I wish it happened more than once a week. Even twice on Monday would make a lot of people happy, I bet. It seems like it's a lot easier to get the minimum contribution points. Some people have noted that the rewards for the top places are a little skewed, perhaps.

    All in all, I like them both equally so far. Any free event is good in my opinion. b:thanks
