HT has always been one of the fullest, if not the fullest, servers. Over time there has definitely been a decrease of people in Arch, and some of the more frequented towns. Maybe more catshops, but even those seem to be decreasing these days. You're not alone in noticing the declining population, even on older servers it is happening too--though maybe not as drastic.
That being said, I think we're a ways away from any server merges still. Only because announcing a merge is fully acknowledging they are having problems retaining players, and I don't think PWI wants to do that yet.0 -

maybe is no lagging for you, but for me is like I am swimming in caramel syrup is awful, plus leveling gimme a break, leveling is hard like hell, in BoI I have good exp rewards for the quests and went from 1-35 in 2 hours no here in PW, at least no for wizards.0

Yeah, this game actually takes some work. However, level 10 takes 30 minutes at the absolute max. No 1-level-per-quest like in BoI though.0 -
Everybody always adjusts to changes in the economy. Why? It will never stop so we have to adjust if we like it or not. I'm just saying that it'll be a pain to those not used to it yet.
And there are quite a few people who grind on mobs so that'd be a pain for them.
Sure it would be possible, but a server merge would be horrible. To "mingle" with new people from a totally new server, everything would change. Honestly, I think every server is unique in its own way and to merge two would take away the originality of the people and the servers.
Imagine all the WC trolls going off in WC if they do merge.... Trolls unite..... b:sweatb:shocked
Since you're really into the server merge idea, go to the headquarters wherever it is for PWE and talk to them instead b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I have to comment on this....sorry but you want to go 1-35 in 2 hours?? I understand being high level is cool and all, but why so fast? Most people will tell you PWs leveling pace from 1-60 is pretty good...you do quests until 40 and then really profitable and easy grinding/questing/CS after that. Also BH nowdays which totally eliminates the grinding, if you hate it so much.
Rushing through the game is not the answer...0 -

Only moderators and GMs read the forums, and most of the time they don't go through every, single, little thread. They usually just wait out for a thread to die out, lock it, moving on.
Go to the headquarters where the developers are and talk to them b:chuckle GMs rarely pass on suggestions to devs since I don't see that much change in-game if they did talk to them lol.
Why do you think that this thread will make them consider server merge compared to all the countless threads other people have made on this same subject? b:question[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

There's also a possibility that NightRage wants to also hear what other players think. I think he knows as well as you that one player's (or even the whole server's) opinion doesn't matter.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

Leveling hard on PWI?
Leveling too fast is one of the major problems with this game. I can't imagine going any faster without protective gear. Any game where you can go from Level 1 to Level 35 in 2 hours is already dead. It's just moving so fast that it doesn't know it yet. 0 -
Maybe because I chose a Wizard, after every single battle I have to sit for few minutes to heal, that is totally BS, they gave me in my first quest a sword for a wizard a freaking sword? what happened with staff or wand? I am not a melee I am a Wizard for goodnes sake. Every single mob has a pattack that takes between 75-95% of my HP if I manage to survive, ran out of pots in my first few fights, but anyways checking on the wizard class topics, they told me basically the same wizards 1-90 sucks. So that is my dilema do I play wizard which I love always to play o go with some other class similar maybe a venomancer, I think that is what I would do.0

They gave you a magic sword. Dear God, this game is too hard for you, I can tell. Go to a game where you can bot or your levels are handed to you.0 -

Dude I have played many games and expect certain level line/quest/hardship, but this is not normal, again maybe is because it lagged like crazy and took forever to finish quests, again this is not the goal in this thread so lets go back to topic. Like someone said before PWI will never merge server it would be a way of admitting they are loosing players, they may shut down the whole game but they will never merge servers is a Chinese pride thingy.0

you were able to choose, either a magic sword or a sword...
this game isnt just that linear... we have tanks with bows or archers with claws
heavy armor casters /veno etc.. and it works
you are free to choose your weapon build, and look
BOI is a No-Brainer ... i uninstalled after trying it *urgh*

i do want a server merge, as long as its still the same server location *ping*
pretty sure laag wont be a problem - there never was real server laag like in other games
more players (in the same lvl) is always a win

So I go back to the topic and you call me a troll, I was doing what you said lets go back to the topic, maybe people like you are the cause many new players are not taking this game seriously, it is sad to see people getting to high levels and treating new players like **** because they are struggling trying to learn the game. The many guides around are veri incomplete and many refer to when your level is above 10, what happens before you get to 10? I asked before I am struggling trying to understand why when I fight a mob that is at my level I almost die every single time, I am asking because I only have 2 skills 1 direct attack whatever anyone says it is a melee a pproach, oh you got a magic sword!! magic my foot it is a melee attack whitout any magic on it, the second skill is some kind of puff smoke thing that doesnot do any damage, you know I am trying to learn and find the fun part, it is not my interest to blow to level 100 but at least enjoy getting to level 10 and then be able to use all those great guides, but attitude like yours that already knows everything really sucks, I am a new player struggling because the help system is ****, you ltry to finish quests and its hard when you aint got a clue of what you are doing. Tutorials where are the tutorials, no where, at leats I have not found any. all these guides about this is what you should eb doing, they are garbage they dont help0

Server merge would be fun yes, inter server tw? even though LC would stomp on everyone lol. GMs won't ever do this though because they don't care about us. b:shutup0 -
Thanks that was what I wanted to know, it is part of the nature of that class, was that so hard to say. BACK to topic. Guys you must realize if they merge would be an acknowledgement of their failure, I dunno if I will like to see a merger, maybe when I get to higher levels I would agree with you, one thing plus on mergin with less servers maybe better technical support.0

Sanguilia, look up the 'kiting' method for a way to kill mobs without taking any damage. Wizards are not supposed to stand stationary and take hits while killing. Basically you need to cast a spell, run backwards by pressing 'S', and then cast again when you are a comfortable distance away from the mob.
Also check out the Perfect World wiki for a few good wizard tutorials.0 -
