A barbarian tanking poleharm at lvl 70? Charmless, hmmmm who was the cleric lvl 90 plus one?or there were two clerics heal them? However depends too on the barbarian gears if he is a super cash shopper or not...

Been there, done that, plenty of times. (To clarify - as DD, not as that barb)

And yes, if you're using low or inexperienced clerics, having two along (one heals, one purges and squad-heals) is a very good idea.

it is worth doing fb's at level, it trains everyone what they should do on thease runs, teach tanks to use there cancels to stop the polarm debuff show clerics that they need to purify not just heal and shows them when not to heal, shows venos how to pull propaly, and teaches DDs not to pull agro, if you do fbs at lvl it makes you a better player for the experiance.

Is it really that hard to believe? Barb just needs to be on the ball with cancels, with a Cleric that knows how to purify. It's not THAT bad. At least not compared to low-level Krimson. X_X

FBs are done mostly by tabber and their FRIENDS. or by tabber and their guildmates. or friends friends. it boils down to whom you know and can invite... so i was on fbs done by ppl much higher than fb, at around fb lev, and on few where some ppl were below fb range and went in to help and have fun.
yes, ppl should know that with a competent squad fb is doable on its level, but that doesnt mean they cant invite whoever they want. and at least one high level really speeds things up. besides with bhs out many ppl need these bossess killed for themselves so you can count on ppl lvl fb + 11 to be interested.
also i always try to fill up squad and dont really look at levels, besides of 'can they survive this' so it goes like: tabber> whoever is needed to actually do fb > friends tabber wants to invite > whoever we know that would want to come for fun

yesterday, for friends' alt's fb 29: tabber psy lvl 33, sin 32, cleric 6x, cleric 91 and wiz 101. yes, we gave whole new meaning to 'overkill' but it was a very nice run ^.^ and funniest part was when we speeded like mad thru SP so one pker wont get held by 'friends' there b:chuckle

When I first started, there were no high levels. I kept ahold of my tabs for a few levels and went back for the FBs later. Make a few friends at your level, get to know them and they'll bring you on their FBs when they get them.

While it is enticing now to invite the nearest 5 high levels, or simply run around looking for a Cleric that looks as though they can heal you well enough to do your own instance. If you're the kind of person who wants to do their own FBs, save your tab for a few levels, go back in and try it yourself.

I kept my FB19 tab until I was level 40, then went back in with a Cleric I had met and completed the FB in no time at all. We went from there to FB29. Wined it so that the Cleric only had to range attack the tower, then we killed Qingzi and went onward to FB39. By far the hardest when the highest to do at level. Clerics die really easily when faced with Farren's AoE.

The point I'm making, is that FBs can be done with an at level party. Or you can save your tabs until you feel you can do it, because the only FB you really need anything out of, is FB59 for Spiritual Cultivation. I tanked all of my FBs at level. You can too. If you decide to bring the high levels with you, they will always be supportive and more than likely want to be there for the EXP/SP/Rep and they will thank you for it.

In short, don't listen to those who complain because they can't get people for their FB, or because they can't get into any. If people are busy, keep looking or save your tab. If someone can't get anybody, offer some help, you'll not be disappointed. They take little time and the rewards are worth it.

Wait... You actually need people ABOVE the FB level? I must be doing it wrong... I took a level 80, and a 66 player along on my FB89... I must REALLY be doing something horribly wrong...

This goes out to everybody who thinks you need a 9x character to do your FB19 for you. Or any FB, really. Everybody says, for example, "You can't do FB29 at level 35! It's suicide! You have to get a level 8x character to do it for you."

I say to thee, shut up. If you have any little bit of skill, you can do it. You only need 3 characters. A tank with an HP charm, a cleric (for healing and buffs), and a veno. With those 3 characters, you can do any FB of your level with few problems. The other three are up to your discretion. Extra tank to step in in an emergency, another cleric to help the first heal the tank, extra spellcasters for damage output, WHATEVER.

And you know what? All of these characters are, at most, the level of the final boss. Every last one of them.

So higher-level players, stop insulting us. Lower-level players, stop QQing and use some skill. The design team wouldn't have made it FB-whatever if people of that level couldn't beat it.

tl;dr Anybody of level x9 can beat FBx9 if they use simple tactics.

9x do it because its a lot easier to aoe every mob in the whole place at once than to kill them one by one.

Ok, after reading all this it makes me intimidated to do my FB19. Plus, I know nobody in the game as a "go to" higher level. I got the FB and have been holding off on doing it (now lvl 21 Veno).

Should I just go to the area and start inviting? I was planning on running in just to get the lay of the land and see what I might need (probably after getting one shot). Is there any way to go in an watch another party?

I know, I'm a total noob especially in this type of class. I'm used to being a DD in any other game I've played. It's still odd learning to lure with a pet and all that though I know enough to lure to the tank and get the heck outta the way lol.

I definitely don't want to **** up the party by making a wrong move and look like a complete noob.

news flash . .- --. barbs dont need charms to tank bosses their level with clerics. i stopped reading at this point becoz i felt if someone said this then i didnt care about anything else they could say.

sorry if i'm late to the party on the barb dont need no charm business but i didnt want to read the entire thread and i just wanted to overemphasize and contribute this even if i'm sure 18 others have said the same
I did not feel the treachery or inconstancy of a friend, nor the injuries of a secret or open enemy. I had no occasion of bribing, flattering, or pimping, to procure the favour of any great man, or of his minion; I wanted no fence against fraud or oppression: here was neither physician to destroy my body, nor lawyer to ruin my fortune; no informer to watch my words and actions, or forge accusations against me for hire: here were no gibers, censurers, backbiters, pickpockets, highwaymen, housebreakers, attorneys, bawds, buffoons, gamesters, politicians, wits, splenetics, tedious talkers, controvertists, ravishers, murderers, robbers, virtuosos; no leaders, or followers, of party and faction; no encouragers to vice, by seducement or examples; no dungeon, axes, gibbets, whipping-posts, or pillories; no cheating shopkeepers or mechanics; no pride, vanity, or affectation; no fops, bullies, drunkards, strolling prostitutes, or poxes; no ranting, lewd, expensive wives; no stupid, proud pedants; no importunate, overbearing, quarrelsome, noisy, roaring, empty, conceited, swearing companions; no scoundrels raised from the dust upon the merit of their vices, or nobility thrown into it on account of their virtues; no lords, fiddlers, judges, or dancing-masters.

There's no way that I know of to go in and watch another party, all i can tell you is that fighting the normal mobs in FB19 are like fighting level 30's. but a good team can get through anything(however you aren't likely to find one, methinks.) Find someone to tank, someone to heal, and go for it. :D

XD but yeah i think i said that the other night, and if mods/GM's were so uptight not to necro a thread after 30 days maybe they would lock it instantly when they see they're 30days old instead of letting them have even slightest chance of a necro.

I could be wrong but I thought "Necro" was digging up a dead thread just for the purpose of bringing a thread to the top and without having any merit? I did use the Search and this is what came up so maybe GM's should address the ability to even post to a thread that's considered dead.

I didn't look at the dates when searched or commented and I wasn't playing when the topic was considered "alive." But I've only been playing for a little over a week so consider it a noob mistake.

But I do appreciate the responses. Now that I know what Necro even is I'll be more aware of the thread dates before I comment.

No need to be intimidated. It's a challenging dungeon, to be sure, but it's also really fun. I'd just get a telecoustic and broadcast your need for a squad. I did it with a random squad + a friend and had a blast.

And don't worry about making mistakes. The whole purpose of FB19 is to make mistakes and learn from them. It's the dungeon to help you become a better player, and to get a good feel for working in a squad of other players.

    Dude are you serious?

fb19 needs at least 80+ players to take on, I refuse to enter that dungeon without a 100 barb or bm.

What game have you been playing!? I'm an ASSASSIN and I could solo all FB19s @ lvl 50ish
