Hello to all Clerics!!

I've been researching on clerics for a little while now. And I am looking for even more advice. I've searched the forums for some of my following questions. And unless I necro real old threads I felt this was the best way to ask.

My questions are pretty simple:

Shards in armor - Right now I use a mix if citrine and garnet. I focus on equipment that adds health or physical resistance. And just general good gear. If a few of you could do me a favor and let me know what your opinion is on this subject and why you hold that stance; well, that would be most excellent.

Vit or magic - I have 45 unused points that I've been saving. I am a arcane robe using cleric. I have read many posts saying to add this much vit, etc etc....but as of right now I have not felt the need to add any vit. I have asked faction & friends that play Clerics how they are built and a lot take about 50 base vit.

That pretty much sums up my two questions. If you need any more information from me please let me know.

    If your not going all out attack and want a more balance build it really wont hurt to put in VIT50. If you want lower VIT youll have to make sure you have the gear to cover up the loss.

    As for shards mix is decent. Citrine is only good if you are VS. magic mobs, which, looking at your mag defense, you have alot so you dont have to put in a whopping ton of it. Garnet is good VS physical, which we severely lack.

    I personally started off with garnets and went with them all the way, maybe mixing citrine in a cape or shoe sometimes. Reason why i did this was, even if your HP was as high as a BM say 10k HP, if your def is one that of the squishiest class like 2k or so, the opponent will easily carve off a good 3-4k right there. Later on I started hearing stories of how certain clerics with 9-10k HP all decked with citrine gems and top notch gear....................were squishy as hell lol. As a cleric you will be surprised how much you can survive with 4-10k physical defense.

    Well, because I had a lot of shards(i sent from my main), its relatively cheap and my gear will not be changing too much.

    @ 70 getting TT 70 top ; Legendary Pants; Legendary Magic Sword Sakyamuni's Light; looking for legendary magic ring 69 b:surrender;

    @80 getting TT 80 Magic Sword Endless Ambiguity; trading out Sleeves of Blood Moon wrists lvl 60 for Sleeves of Sea Captain lvl 77; and maybe get new boots/top idk

    As for not using my points I had 55 and used up 10. I was going to see how far I could go till it hurt. But I changed my mind. I'm not one who wants to spend gold on a restat scroll later.

    Im wearing black gongfu pants, and close to black gongfu boots atm, so meh *shrugs* but im choosing to wear my TT90 shtuffs cuz its a hell of an upgrade from what I used to wear. My butt glows a different color 8D

    don't you know teh clerics be tanks....thats why they have such crazy healing spells and why their heals gather aoe aggro.

    20vit but 8.9k-10k pdef with buff =3 HP is still unrefined so still at 5.3k

    lol my wep does have suck refines (and Decep does socket a lot of garnet of various grades b:chuckle) and i'm kind of waiting for gold to drop before i do anything with it...

    in TW i hit harder using higher level ammo + attack charms

    don't think this is what i hit on all clerics lol

    From my own experience on being LA, sharded with garnets and/or citrines etc.. What i can tell you is that it all depends on your stuff and stats, but depends on your gamaplay too. I PvP and TW a lot so i like having garnets.

    Being Arcanne, wear phys ornaments and refine them. Try to find hat/boots/cape with phys res. (depends on what you prefer). I personally found a hat with 3*+69phys def wich is nice ^^.

    Once again it depends on your gameplay.

    when it comes to clerics i only see 2 types that i see being a factor. One is Pure VIt which is the cleric that is ment to take a beating while supporting others, Or pure Mag which can be more Practable if u get good enough shards. The extra magic attack makes u very hard to kill and you can hit like a brick. It depends on your play style and you probably should try both untill u figure out what one u like the best.

    I dont liek vit builds since our vit to hp ratio sucks something fierce. I would much rather attack something for a ton of damage and determine if i can win from there. If i cant i can chromatic seal and holy path away. Just rememeber each build has its weakness. You need to experience them and do ur best to eliminate them by other means...

I have asked faction & friends that play Clerics how they are built and a lot take about 50 base vit.

    That pretty much sums up my two questions. If you need any more information from me please let me know.
