As the title says, I will be hosting debates in this thread but before we start, lets get a few rules down.

Watch Your Language- this includes name calling. I'm very sure everyone knows what is appropiate to say and what is not. If you won't say it to your parents, don't post it.

Respect Others Opinions- this thread is about people sharing their opinions on things. Please Respect them. If it gets to the point where they are completely wrong, let them know in a kind way.

Example 1:
Topic: What Weapon Should A Wizard Use?
Poster 1: They should use wands because of X, Y and Z.
What to NOT say:
You are an idiot. Magic Swords are better nub.
Better way to word it:
Well Magic Swords offer X, Y and Z which are more superior than what a wand can do thus magic swords are better.

No Flaming- no need to explain this one

Topics will be either one of my choice or one recommended by someone else. Send topic recommendations to me via forum PM and you will recieve credit for your topic idea. I WILL NOT DO TOPICS ABOUT THINGS SUCH AS ANNIVERSARY PACKS, THINGS NOT RELATED TO PWI AND OTHER THINGS OF THAT NATURE.


CURRENT TOPIC: Do you think leveling with Oracles is completely wrong? I'm not just talking about going from level 30-90 but also about going from level 89-90. Do You: A: Support the use of Oracles or B: Dont support the use of oracles. Remember NO FLAMING.

    Yes, i choose debate difficulty. The debate topic is in orange. Umm you explain what you believe in and why. (If you are joking then i will feel like such an idiot.....)


    As for my opinions,
    I think the Tideborn are very interesting and will add a lot of experience to the game. Lower level players will have a more diverse group to be around and higher levels will be forced to think more on how to defeat the new opponents. As time goes on, the Tideborn will add a lot to the gameplay. PK will certainly start needing some form of skill to be good. PVE will be interesting with the psychics and assasins abilities but they wont be as mainstream as they were when they first came out.

    Methinks we are going to have many, many high-leveled Tideborn that have no clue how to play their class. The only way they will get experience is to work with the older characters, and the older characters will want to wait until they have more experience. This will lead to a lot of solo Tideborn, which will lead to them not being used as much in instances and not knowing how to function in a squad. PvP will be more interesting, though.

    Well, dont forget that some people will level the natural way. I'm not going to get into how they level so fast because thats an upcoming topic (hint hint)

    What i meant was that this whole thread isnt all about tideborn. There will be many more topics in this thread besides that. I chose tideborn because i wanted to start out with something somewhat easy and that everyone knows about. Tideborn topic is just me testing the water to see if i should get serious about it.

    Tideborn are most likely either going to be overpowered or underpowered. (relative to player level of course. we can just ignore all low level opinion/ inexperienced flamers here. experienced flamers be welcome.) (^.^)
    Since that be natural in every mmorpg when they release new class archetypes. (o.o)
    Likewise there be a near 100% chance of QQ about said classes due to the probably over/under powerment of them.

    also um about thinking differently about killing said classes. (o.o)
    that would depend on information we don't yet has yet.
    it could be completely possible that assassins would just be melee archers.
    and psychics could just be more of a spin off between wizards and clerics.

    zmog me counter your argument and say it be okie to share water bottles with fish people! just make sure their orifices do not come in contact with said bottle. mayhaps gravity drip the water or something instead of mouth to bottle contact.

    im just saying this thread seems pointless. The tideborn hasnt been release yet, what is there to debate about? To debate you needs facts, which we have little of. The only thing anyone would debate are speculations, so what's the point?

    If the sins can indeed go invisible and be unseen by other players, a whole new way to be bad at pvp opens itself to PWI.

    1: Hide in safe zone
    2: Turn invisible
    3: Run out of safe zone, kill someone in 1 hit
    4: Run back into safe zone so no one can ever hit you.

    I lol'd. Maybe the tideborn have their own water bottles? b:chuckle Maybe you should read Korrens thread for the rumors also. Its a great place to get the "feel" of how the tideborn will be like (even though it may not be 100% accurate).

    @Bowlinbob- i said assume the information we have is true, what would your opinion be on the Tideborn. Even though the information may not be true, just make an opinion off what you seen.

    okie so um me suppose mayhaps he provides grapes for free and needs the charcoal to distill teh alchohol. metal to repair his distillation machine. wood in order to burn to maintain the required temperature needed for growth?

    ok ill debate, based on recent changes/current structure of the game. I believe Tideborn expansion is going to be a complete disaster /failure. Filled with bugs/description errors, and will totally unbalance the game more-so than it already is.

    Really, Tideborn are gonna fail for a while, even the ones that level naturally, as Mizuoni said. Not many people are going to take a tideborn in a squad, like you said, over a character that they know how to deal with. But not only that-- we're going to have a bunch of debate/possible flame threads about what's better for a tideborn, because there's no set 'right or wrong' for them yet. (meaning more fail ones, and more NEW fail ones in game for a while).

    And I doubt PvP will be terribly interesting, at first. Even with tideborn that get to your level, I would think a good 75% of them won't know how to play to their full potential. Meaning that while people are still figuring out about tideborn, other classes are figuring out how to beat them... and everything balances out. (Note: I don't play on a PvP server, so I wouldn't know...)

    I could be wrong, though. Probably am. (@Mizuoni-- am I allowed to insult myself? xD)

    Also-- if you have nothing better to do than mess up this thread, leave. It's a decent idea. Go troll some other thread. There's a ton out there.

    Likewise there be a near 100% chance of QQ about said classes due to the probably over/under powerment of them.

    Ohhh... i think i can agree on the classes being overpowered. Its actually not unusual to have MMOs 'fix' new classes or jobs that they released partway into the game, during a maint. I would bet the first 1-2months the GMs would be keeping an eye on how the new class skills compete with PvE PvP. Alot of the paying MMOs have done that before. Altho in this sense i feel sorry for the GMs because in a game like this, even if its obviously OP, the class will not admit it and QQ tons.
