382 out of 479 voters don't want the packs back. Hopefully, this says SOMETHING to the GMs.One man's pain is another man's lol.

They discredit the poll because people can get on alts and vote again. They also say it doesn't accurately represent the whole player body.
Its BS I know, but its allows them to make more money, so they're happy.b:bye0 -
One night in a mystical world known as Perfect World, a well known and sought after item called the Anniversary pack was briefly robbed from everyone's favorite boutique, the cash shop! (After previously being taken away/returned 2 times already!)
Many celebrated while many cried, many thought they would rest their heads peacefully that night- while others mused over all the money they would make with the remaining packs that they had salvaged. A VERY small percentage of the population cried, knowing they could never make the same quantity of money the previously had off buying these packs and selling them to lowly villagers.
As the world of PW went down for sleep- THE MAINTENANCE MONSTER came, putting ALL of PWI into a deep deep slumber. Everyone slept, and the next morning (2-3 hours later) to everyone's surprise; the anniversary packs were back! (for the third time!)
Many cried again- Others raged, advertised their hate for the whole world to be known, then promptly killed themselves, and one another. The rulers of PW (gm's and dev's) had forgotten about why they had built the world of PW to begin with- To provide eternal happiness and create friendships with their civilians.-
Now, the world of PWI was in flames, chaos and those who rightfully helped support the world of PWI grew into higher ranks, leaving all of the other lowly subordinates to cry and rot in their dust.
PW was no longer a world of dreams and hopes, the Rulers of PW and all of their loyal helpers lived on to be happy, healthy and all lived prosperous lives.
While the other poor villagers killed themselves off slowly, while others ran away to the world of that that must not be mentioned!
Years later the rulers of PW and their loyal helpers still lived in the happy world of PW, they sat lonely, with no one left to sell their wonderful anni packs to- No one left to sell their golden treasures to, and they could not sell to one another, because what one man wanted to sell; another man already had!
The rulers felt horrible, realizing what their greed had done to the once happy world of PW, and the loyal helpers would do nothing but sit and demand new items be added to the cash shop- so they could spend their gold, for they had nothing else to do with it. All the while- The anni packs still sat in the cash shop, now untouched and unwanted.
One sunny day the royal rulers of PW had a great idea! They marched down to the cash shop and removed the packs that has brought such woe and pain to their once perfect world! They celebrated, danced and walloped in the riches these packs had once brought in, and they waited for new loyal followers to come to live in this perfect world- But to their dismay, none did come. For no one believed this could be true, and everyone knew the packs would show their ugly faces again when the rulers of PW needed more and MORE gold!
Then one day, the rulers of PW fell ill- they were far too lonely and had nothing to spend their gold and money on. They left their loyal followers to be helpless, closing the gates to PW behind them, and never looking back.
YAY
Long story short-
PWI will never lose those who buy gold from them- They will only ever keep benefiting until the free-to-play players can no longer compete with those who charge zen....
Even if new players come to Perfect World, there is NO WAY they will end up staying- With the prices as high as they are. 5-6 hours of grinding will make you around 500-800k if you are lucky, but 500-800k will get you half a pair of pants, or half of a charm now. People just don't have that kind of time and patience now..0 -

You're right, it is BS. This sounds like a democratic dictatorship to me. Let the people vote to make it seem like they matter, but make decisions based on whatever.

Please read below. Oh and the GM's have no control over what is being implemented in-game at any given time. b:byeIceJazmin - Heavens Tear wrote: »You mean what 431 players or less that come to the forums want?
Do not confuse forum polls with player base wants. The polls may provide some information, however they are as useful as conducting a poll about the believe in god at a Atheist National Convention, and than try to use those numbers and say it represents the rest of the country believes.
However, the packs really need to make an exit at this point.... in my opinion.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i cant agree more with u if its "free to play experience". But ultimate free to play experience? in what aspect?
graphics? no they are not the ultimate
support? no they are not the ultimate
responding to player's opinions? no they are not the ultimate
GM support in game? no they are not the ultimate
Events in game? no they are not the ultimate
Pay to Enjoy? Yes they are the ultimate
what makes pwi credible when they say that this is the ultimate free to play experience if we see 90% of the updates being related to cash shop items?
Agreed whole heartedly. Not to nerf the thread, but when enhancements take the place of major bugs, like alt-tab crashing, its not "THE ULTIMATE F2P"[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

After the gold bug (with no rollback), dq mounts, rb glitches (still not fixed after 1 year), gold chests, and annipacks, I would say yea.. I and many people have lost any respect we had for the developers. When the problems started, many of us excused the developers and had some understanding for PWI. 1 year later, the problems were not fixed and they got worse and more numerous.
The developers set the contents, and it's up to the pwi company itself to implement those contents. The fact that PWI implemented unpopular and often detrimental items in the game shows you how this company operate. Yes they need money, they are a business. But if I was an investor, this company would be considered a short term investment and not a long term one. I just don't see how this company can continue to profit if it continues to introduce unpopular contents and ignore its customer base in the name of profit.
If you want to see how this game is surviving, go to any starter village. I remember Bamboo village near plume city used to be filled with players even months after the game started. However once the major problems started showing up, the number of new players there just disappeared. If you have no new players to take up the spots of old players leaving, then what you have is a dieing game.0 -

Ok, you do not get a cookie.
Here is why;
ANY game developer who KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING- would first and foremost fix what is wrong with the current gameplay/gamemode problems before adding new material, it's potentially devastating..
Never open another pandora's box, while you already have one open.
They putting too much on their plates- If they can't even so much as fix a simple rubber band glitch, bald glitch, mounts glitches... Then why the HELL should they add more content before fixing what's wrong with the game now.
You can have a slap on the ****- But you will not get any cookies from me sir.0 -

First of all, relax. Second, related to improving the gameplay... sure i'm curious about what does this new race and classes bring to the game, new areas will be cool, plublic quests... who knows, we know too little about this right now and new gear improvement... that's CS related i fear (time will tell).
But no matter how you look at it and no matter how hard are they working on a expansion (yeah, its a hell of a hard job) i dont understand PWI's CS policy. They are really hurting this game by no listening to the customers and servers are becoming to be empty of new players... and new players are the future of a game. The fact that these nonsense "events" continue is really frustrating many high-lvl players too (CS users included) because of a huge lack of motivation to keep playing... yeah, you have a crapload of coin... and then u question yourself... what for? what is left for me to do in this game? Wait for the next CS related event? yeah, maybe even warsoul items hit CS someday... that would be epic.
And i think that is what the previous posts were talking about, and is something we all, low lvls, hight lvls, CS and Non CS users and of course PWIs devs must think about (if devs ever think about something)
Atm, im just going to wait for that expansion with some kind of hope because once this game was great... and it could be great again. Lets hope it happens.
Take care out there0 -

what we *have* asked for, begged for, for months, a year, is for simple bugs and glitches to be fixed, more interaction ingame with the GMs....for things to just work the way they should.
