i just hope they dont take it too far and start to mess with equip and weapons.
as i've pointed out, this was already done with the introduction of the supply stash weapons. there have been some lucky packs as well with the higher levels armors etc.
i'm afraid to think of them putting a cash shop equivalent to the -6% channeling ring that takes 50 gold orders and 50 silver orders to trade for. such enormous undertakings being marginalized in such a way is quite disturbing, at least to me....0 -

Your first post concluded not of a question but more of a demand. If you read carefully your second post on the prior page you didnt state a clear position that I could answer to, more it was like a personal view and in the end it stayed pretty much a personal view and action that wasnt on any extreme end that i can poke at >.>
So far I have only seen a few people try to argue that the net profits from the sales should be more beneficial to PWI than the happiness of what are (as the horses indicated) some of its most-dedicated players, yet I find these claims suspicious.
Anecdotally, my friend's wife is still very much annoyed with PWI, but on a personal level she's well-adjusted and thus has gotten over it. However, my friend has sworn to not spend any more on the game as a result of what happened, which was about $20 per month or so.
I realize anecdotes are not statistics, but it's all I personally have access to.
So what's your view? Do you think PWI made a good business decision? A bad one?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My opinion is it was a very good one. They put an item, which was not that good, and managed to make it a "premiun item". (talk about good marketing... "if you use this average item, you will have status")
Statswise, it is the same as a polarbear, which sells for 5 gold now, while the horse goes for 20 gold. By the time you add the spurrs for it, it will cost just about the same as the "rare mounts".
There are 3 DQ Horses, PW made the 2 glowing ones available in CS (the more expensive ones), the "non-glowing" DQ horse is still only available in DQ (the cheaper one). *** Corrected information based on Warren's feedback****
According to the people that complain about the horses, they were rare to start with, so, not not many people were affected, and it will open the door for the masses to get access to it.
As someone mentioned earlier. Long time ago Aluminum was so rare that it costed more than gold. Nowadays you throw it away without even thinking about it (cans, aluminum foil, etc).Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. It's funny now, but in an ironic twist my friend's wife had accidentally bought the cheaper Swift Whitewind after getting her 50+50 Orders, thinking it was the more expensive glowing Silver Mane. At the time she was upset with herself for "wasting" 30 of her 50 Silver Dragon orders on the wrong horse, but she went right back out farming and eventually ended up with both of them. She tried selling the Whitewind, but nobody bought it because at the time it was the cheaper, low-status horse that few wanted.
Now, less than two weeks later, she suddenly finds that her two horses have completely swapped in status. Her plain old Swift Whitewind, that she hadn't intended to buy in the first place, is now the high-status mount that sets people apart from the crowd, while her Silver Mane simply blends in with the crowd.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thank you for the correction.
And yah, that is like everything in life, what is cool today is not cool tomorrow, but it may end up being cool again at a later dayToo often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Besides the single factor isnt singularly about business but we also have to keep in mind customer greed. Everything all boils down to the gamble we make whether it be by hard labor or money. There is no insurance for the gamble we make on PWI yet pple expect it. Casinos are also a game and a business, there is no insurance for the players no matter how hard earned their money is.
There will always be someone unhappy. For instance what happens if PWI put in some pandas, ninetales, and lions in the cashshop for a anniversary special? I can already expect a scream from a person who bought it for 45M on this thread (albeit their own gamble) Bought or earned, money is money, and it doesnt come without a price. Even the credit cards used are the product of someone working in RL. Most of the time, having a fixed time we have to be there by, wear decent cloths and makeup(?), do things we dont have to, interact with pple we dont want to, and deal with situations that make you wish there was a LOGOFF button. You can have a desk job, sitting at the PC and type, and youll STILL be tired when you go home cause the environment is diff. from home-sweet-home. It just doesnt click into us as much cause we distance ourselves from reality when we play games. If i decided to do WQ all day or save up online for buying those dragon orders, HELL I CAN DO IT NAKKID AT HOME ON THE BED! and i can still get it done AS efficiently. O.O;; Its true it takes time and effort to do it manually, but usually this time and effort consists of clicking the mouse, and staring at the screen in any shape, form, position, time of your choosing. Hardly something to moan about.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]lagunal8.deviantart.com
