I heard on the news of people walking into net cafes vertically and exits horizontally. There are always extreme people in the world. There are already 6 level 100s, and lvl 100 is all the xp needed from 1 to 99 doubled or somthing. Sure these games kinda ruin peoples lives but then again its the players fault for not controlling themselves.

My cousins dad finishes his dinner super quick so he could play on WoW. He hardly even sleeps and one time he collapsed at work.

I just hope the lvl 80 on harshlands dont over do himself and die infront of his computer screen. Not the best way to die and the whole world would laugh at ya.

But I've seen a ton of people like him before in other games. Never seen any of them die but I HAVE seen a ton of em who turned out to be cheaters.

Well i HAVE seen on hacker forums of some dude posting a bot up for perfect world and i was shocked to see how many people dwownloaded and thanked the poster. There were hundreds.

So at least already there are hundreds of people using bots between the perfectworld games. From my experience only around 10-20% of users thank hackers for posts so i guess there are already a ton of people botting on PW.

Still, i think alot of them arent using bots and just has no life and plays this game 24/7.

How often are you in town that you would manage to see him in town?
Maybe you're just unlucky.

And no, he might not be miserable.
Are you really 20? Have you not come to learn the fact that not everyone has the same morales and standards as you? What's so hard to understand about someone who likes playing games a lot, and devotes a good portion of his hours into the game?

How do you know that this person isn't someone who's been working for years and decided to take a nice summer break to play something he/she enjoys?

Why do you see people who enjoys playing games to such a degree as "physically miserable" and "a drug user"? Are you really that dense? That jealous? Is it really that unacceptable? How socially insecure are you?

And finally... what close mindedness. Live a little, and learn to accept other rituals and hobbies as something different and unique rather than something vulgar and repulsive.

You might be 20, but your mind has only aged somewhere to around 14.
Or, you might have over-aged well beyond your age (and returned to the cavemen ancient mentality) to the point your openness to people different from you have completely dissolved.

Or, unlike you he/she may be physically handicapped and playing an RPG may be the only escape from their disability they have and take it. Or they may be agoraphobic and not be comfortable going out. They may be rich and don't need to work. You don't know.

Just 2 things:

1) He/she had LOADS of money to spend, and Im talking well above like $300+ (even if you resell and work the economy you will need at least that much to buy scrolls/fruits to lvl u up THAT far)

2) Apparently they had loads of time on their hands (Consider the amount of items you had to use to acheive that lvl and the crowdedness of some scroll areas)

The thing is, they KNOW they dont have a life either way. (They may, but the above factors say other wise to society majority) You wont see the pple who used the event to gain 20+ levels gloat about it (or at least most of them) cause hey, in all seriousness no one is gonna say "Wow its so cool! you spent over $300 RL monies to lvl up this far in this event!" Even if they did, they will leave out how much they spent, cause its embarrassing.

its called half the people on harshlands sold their accounts on another server to pay for things on HL. thought account selling was against the rules but i guess as long as all the money is getting spent back on the game they will just turn the other way. funny how people who say they dont cash shop can switch servers and have a herc and phoenix the first day...wonder how that works. besides even if some are lying and do cash shop i've seen about 20 people admit to selling accounts already.

I don't know what meaning you guys got from me saying physically miserable but I wasn't talking about his life. If I sit in a chair and do nothing but press two keys for 8+ hours daily, I'm gonna start feeling wierd. My eyes are gonna hurt, back, legs, all that stuff.

Been thru this argument a million times before in other places. Chocoo thinks he's just sitting there playing all those hours and Saitada thinks he's Stephen Hawking. But I been around long enough to know that usually there is something illegitimate going on.

But maybe I've been playing too many crappy games with crappy people and crappy administrators. Maybe it has skewed my view on what people can and will do without cheating. Who knows.

What are you expecting PWE to do? Seriously, what? Ban the new accounts everyone created? Or ban the accounts that were sold? Or should they ban both the sold accounts and the new accounts?

what does being a college grad had to do with anything? more than 99% of the stuff i learn in college i do not use here. english class, psh since when do online games need college lvl compositions. calc and high mather math... yea... only when u want to figure out the equations they use for dmg reduction. chem physic bio no good there. geography, geology, psyc, media, comp sci name it and find a subject that does matter to how well u can play a game.
(the 1% are like random words u would pick up from college that u would use here)

oh btw, there are people who play games for a living, they have perfectly fine social life, just maybe not the same kind society generally expect and think is normal.

Well 1) this is a discussion thread. What else are we suppose to post? I invoked an argument which was not directed toward any specific individual, as do 80% on the posts on this forum. OMGLAZERZ was the first to direct a personal one towards me, with his 'fixing' post. To fix is to correct, and to correct is clearly a black and white of you are wrong and I am right, said in a round about way. Which he then finishes with

which I find extremely contradictory.

And no I did not call anyone a loser, that would be a conclusion you jumped to. If I meant it, I would be pretty blunt about it. I would use that word, although I admit it would make me feel a bit bad later.

I think you need to read back on the prior pages because your post here seems only to be focused on my last post. I usually do not attack pple on a thread unless one, they make the first move. Or two, they are personally hounding down others that are making an experimental/new idea topic.

Pls read the prior pages before responding to a single post in an argument.

And yes I know there are pple who play games for a living, I have worked in the translating department on that. Most of whome HAVE been in this genre of work tho would not consider it "playing games for a living" because mostly what you do is test and test and test and test. Half of the time your looking at the same screens over again writing a report ready to be sent overseas. Maybe 10min every hour you do get time to actually enjoy a game, because your work can wait a little. Those jobs are not something that is enough to say they play games for a living (QA's and GMs). If not, then they are just most likely a part time game tester.
