1 thing straight about cleric stronger than mage

Alright put it as purely cleric versus wizard same gear same everything they are in the middle of no where and they are alone, the cleric has cleric buffs whilst the wizard has his own buffs, no apoth, no charms nothing.

Cleric: "under influence of magic shell"
Elemental seal > Demons spirits gift > tempest

Wizard:
Undine > ice dragon strike

Who is going to come out on top? sure Wizards have elemental shell but once tempest done channeling that's over.

Yes we beat them in pvp, but that's as far as we get to them.

accualy a wizzards and clerics damage is very similar

if both go pure magic then the wizzard will out dmg the cleric
with about 1-2k in pve and 250-500 in pvp and that aint so much
if you look at the channeling cost the wizzard has

on another note..
finding a pure magic wizz is rare....most go light armor and end up beeing a
1 hit victim to wield thunder
finding a pure magic cleric aint that rare

so if the wizz aint pure magic the cleric will out dmg him b:thanks b:chuckle

uhm....I dunno but this is wat happen to me during this mornin FB59:
Plot:

vs Water boss (forgot his name, is it qanzi?), Wiz 71 tanking and DD.
Me: FAC, 65, temptest lvl 6, max Elemental seal, max cyclone, lvl8 Metal Mastery
Both are pure Int build, fully buffed with maxed spirit gift.
Both using TT60 mystical sword, she has a lvl6 Magic atk gem on it, I'm not
I started attacking after she atk a few time and made sure that her charm won't tick from having 1 cleric heal her.
Combo: Elemental seal, Advance spark, cyclone, wield thunder, cyclone, plume, cyclone.
I stole agro at 3/4 boss hp bar b:cry
I did think that I can't out damage a wiz but this event gave me doubt. I don't use temptest, because I don't lvl it yet (sp, coins).
So, rather than lookin at the damage of ea skills, would it rather to look at the damage 1 can deal over an amount of time? I mean Cleric skills have low cooldown and cast time than Wiz a bit and the damage is similar, so after a certain amount of time, a FAC can easily out damage a wiz rite?
I dunno if it is too soon to come to conclusion at this lvl? b:sad

No. Damage is similar but after 79 wizard can have undine strike; moreover, it's spike damage that matters in pvp - and cleric does not have something like sutra. Honestly, i don't get all this "outdamage" stuff. It's clear that in some circumstances wiz will outdamage and in other cleric will. Damage is last thing you need to worry about in pvp, it's up to other skills and, most important, mastery of your class.

You used advance spark....And you have to factor in your magic rings. Once you get to higher lvls where casters have great channel gear. The channeling difference between a wizard and a cleric is diminished.
