Ence's Comprehensive Quest Guides List V. 3.6


Welcome to Ence's Comprehensive quest guide list. This attempts to cover most of the quests within the game and is centered around my detailed quest guides which span from Levels 1-79. All credit is given to authors. Anything that does not have a name attached to it is created by me, Ence.

I need your opinion! Let me know what you think of the new layout. Tell me what you think of it, suggestions to change. Also let me know if there is information that you would like to see here. This is by no means complete. Thanks!

Concerning the quest guides. As you have all probably noticed, not much going on these days as far as the thread is concerned. This is mainly because I have been seriously busy with school and other commitments and thus have been unable to work on the thread/guides at all. Like for example, I promised stuff within a week and then I found out that I had 9 finals in one week. That's right. NINE. So...everything I was working on then is being released now. And it will probably be as busy as this for the rest of the month. That's the bad news. Now for the good news: I have a 2 month long winter break :D So, during that time one of my goals (Among other things) is to get the rest of the guides cleaned up and look toward pushing out the 80-89. So that's January 2011. Hopefully everything goes according to plan :)

    Because, for one I gave an explanation a long long time ago about this. You can use the website, I don't have a problem with that. The point of my work was to create a comprehensive quest guide in which I tried to add all the extra points that never make it onto the usual quest lists. If not 1perfect, why not the PW Wiki? Or http://www.pwdatabase.com/ ? Or why not even the MY forums? The coordinates are the same over there and the quest names are close enough to be able to figure them out.

    The point in my creating these "guides" is to add a bit more to it. There are questions that people have on the forums despite having all those sites. My goal is to try to add the extra bits to answer the people's questions. Odd things like whether a drop is uncommon or not. Specifics on a boss. Tips on fighting through things. Which quests to chain together for an FB and what to pick up for all of it. Things like that.

    The original concept was spawned through the MY forums. 1perfect has been around for a long time and I do believe it is a great site for looking at quests. I will also say that they were using my quest guides for the lower levels earlier on to add information to their guide as well as back on the MY version. And yes, I was asked if it was allowed to use the information to add to their site.

    So...I'd say it's all up to you. Some people use this, others use other sources. All in all I'm just trying to add something back to the community in general ;)

    I don't realise how you can still have questions after it, all the locations are right, these aren't mega complicated problem-solving quests, this is go talk to xxx, go kill 80 xxx, return to xxx. =/

    Well, there seem to be 3 main types:

    - Asking for help killing a certian mob, which I think belongs in the server-specific sections.

    - Asking what mobs drop a certain item, or where to get a certain item, which can be easily found with pwdatabase;

    - And needing help/reassurance from GMs, because they think the quest is bugged or not working, a lot of those seem to be about celestial sprite, I've never had a bugged quest, so I think people maybe need to read the description a bit better.

    You may as well copy over the info from 1pw, and write out a post with every quest on there so far, and add your notes to them, then we wouldn't need these 10+ topics splitting up the quest parts. Surely it's easier to just go to 1 place for all the information, than going to different threads scattered over different pages on the forum?

    Or you can not enter these threads and deal with the fact that a lot of people, including me, find these much more useful and much easier to work with than 1pw or wiki.

    I don't go to those other forums that often, I'm just here so having this is a good idea. I don't see why anyone would whine about something GOOD being done on this forum for once. Thank you so much, Ence for doing this and don't worry about the whiners.

    Hah...well thank you. As stated before I am currently on vacation so there's not a whole lot of playing or anything of the sort going on but once I'm back I'll be trying to push levels 50-59's guide out before we hit the New Year ;)

    Well, that's ambitious, but I'll be checking it out once you publish it, even though by then I will have (hopefully) gotten into my 60s. It'll be fun to compare with my recent experience. I also intend to post links to your guides here from my guild's forums. If the lower levels will use them, it will save bookoo time.

    I myself think its great someone takes the time to help others, what I do not like to see is someone being so negitive on replys. Its a free game and any and all who take the time to help others deserves respect and our thanks. Keep up what you are doing many I am sure appreciate it and should make up more then enough for the minority.

    I've always used Ence's Quest Tips until one day I tried 1perfect. Similar, however when it came to location of a rare drop, I couldn't get it based on 1perfect. So, I switched back to Ence's Quests Tips and *bingo*, got the rare drop perfectly.

    Thank you Ence for spending a lot of your time building this guide. I personally appreciate it so much.

    Can I encourage you to edit your first post so you link with your various 1-19 quest guides? (They lost their stickiness but can be very valuable, especially for new players.)

    Perhaps for some. For myself, I found the website impossible to use. There is no clearly identified or labeled portion of the site that I can go to for quest information.

    It is quite literally hidden.

    This post is the only way I'd ever have found out about quests. Thanks to the poster, and my (somewhat) eternal gratitude.
