Honestly, I don't really care what people call it and don't really see why it triggers people so much.

Anime is just short for animation.
Western cartoons are animated
Japanese cartoons are animeted

It's just how one looks at it I guess​​

I'd disagree, because no one calls american or european cartoons anime. Even though it sounds alike, this term became a special definition of japanese creation. Last I read at least. Maybe something changed in anime terminology world since then xD
