8m AoE reel in? All AoE skills alrdy have at least an 8m radius, what is this reel in supposed to add to that?
Or is it like with Stormbringers, is it a repeated effect? Because that would be pretty strong, otherwise seems pretty useless to me, waste of 50 chi xD

At first I thought it did like five attacks or something, but makes most sense that it probably depends on pet summoned and, reading it again, seems like the attack will be coming from the pet.
Hmm, well, until we get an official translation or information from someone who has tried the skill out, we won't know for sure how it works, but so far I don't quite like it. I just see too many drawbacks/concerns so in such a case I'd rather a weaker skill that I can use better than something with strong damage and effect but has these... weird requirements.
"I do hope it doesn't come from the pet though. That means you need to send it in the crowd to apply the AOE bonus effects, but that just makes it easier to get the pet killed. I mean... a Venomancer sitting there casting a skill for 5 seconds (channeling + casting) with a pet in the crowd? That's preeeetty obvious lol.
That's not to say I won't try to find the best use for this skill, but in theory it is weird. Anyway, thank you very much for all the translation work you're doing. It's really helpful. I didn't actually thank you in my first post. "

Chi drain, a pvp skill, on the harpy, a pve pet, is the most idiotic idea ever.
I hope there will be adjustments added to that veno ulti, at this point I'm not very happy with it much, however the other skills are actually great and useful. DeffyNature0 -

I think this is either a damage absorption or some kind of attack modifier that lasts for Xsec.

Agreed. They should have made the bonus effect work with any pet, it would just be random. It'd be like how Myriad Rainbow works, except that it's always guaranteed to proc something (if pet is out) and only procs one of the effects.
Or just swap the effect with the Monkey. At least a 100% debuff has uses in PvE, but why would anyone use it there when it consumes a material you need for your new weapon anyway (well that's what someone said, I don't know if it's true).

I don't really see requiring Legendary pets as making Venomancers get creative. That's why I think it should have worked with any pet. I mean, I do like the variety but not in this form. XD0 -

Yeah I agree. Venos have a list of hundreds of pets to choose from and barely any use for 99% of them. Even PVE venos who aren't concerned about end game gear and PVP viability turn towards one of the four pets. Because there just isn't any reason to keep the lesser pets, really.
If there is some way to make different pets give venos different powers... not really even just legendary pets... It probably will never happen but that would be AWESOME .
Even my frog... Hell, I have this ridiculous looking dodon something or other fire chicken. That pet is why i MADE a veno. If I could cast a fireball that did more than 2 damage id sure as hell use it!

Honestly, I don't like this new veno skill at all. Worse variation of myriad rainbow. It will be hard to land a damage on someone because of extremely long casting. Once your target sees you started and has nothing to counter it, you will see the target somewhere on the horizon in seconds. Not talking about the fact that veno has no skill to keep a target controlled while you casting it, save one which is extremely chi consuming and has long cd. It's easy to counter such hit with genie or def charms. And debuffs are delayed and you are warned when they proc and again can counter. You can't really rely on summoning 323049834 different pets for this purpose because summoning time is very long and it breaks your attacks or stunlocks letting target escape or use def charms.
In case debuff is random: this is also a bad idea. How we are supposed to make combos if we have no clue if we root, dragon, def reduce, chi steal or whatever esle? Press what you see and maybe someday killing hit will occur? For real? 0 -
Awesome points everyone, I agree with you, the casting is very unfriendly and it will need support from a team mate and when that happenes, you just can't go on summoning 50 shades of pets, you need to act fast.
Also, worth mentioning, venos are being made to cash shop all 4 legendary pets to even use the damn skill in all of its complexity, which isn't that ok, in my opinion.DeffyNature0 -
I would like to caution y'all about assumptions. Until someone actually posts vid of the skill in action, we don't really know if it requires pets or not. Remember I'm literally just trying to make sense of Google Translate. Sometimes easy like "wood system damage" = "wood dot", and then sometimes you get **** like that skill where I tried to make as much sense of it as I could. I can very well be wrong and I kind of hope I am in this case.

I don't think we will need to have all legendary pets. My guess is it's an animation and pets appear only visually and randomly for a short time to debuff, then disappear. It's just a guess though. Chinese like creative descriptions.0

I was thinking of it more in terms of how duskblades can utilize other classes skills while they have access to that class. If the pet is summoned you get a different ability depending. Not necessarily that you should summon 20 pets per battle, but more, if you are focusing on a certain class venos could put thought into which pet they will use depending on the situation because of the related skill rather than there being no question of just using the same pet all of the time. A bit like the olden days when venos would actually get a magic tank, phys tank, dd, etc. Now its just like. Get a walker
But yeah sadly this is all dreams and assumption. Even the simpler classes are nearly impossible to translate clearly

That's actually neat that it can deal some damage, but I worry that it'll trigger Purify Spell on hit sometimes, completely negating its secondary effect. Would have also been great if it were an 8m AoE at least, even if it didnt deal damage.

Lowering the Spark cost helps, but its still not really enough to warrant its use unless your other ranged AOEs are on CD. I was really hoping it would be water+physical or something. Soulforce bleed doesn't really hurt with all the passives and PDef one can get. Same goes for Soulburn.

So it affects ground speed too? That's kinda nice. We never really had much movement options on the ground, so it helps a little.

Not sure if its Share the Stealth, but it looks like:
You enter stealth for 8 seconds (could be Shadow Walk/Esc?) with an additional +12 stealth level added
Cannot be targeted for 2 seconds after(?) (or unable to be detected)
Attack Speed reduced by 200% during your time in Stealth.
That "Roll back the throw" part is weird.

I agree with you on all of that, again the psychic gets only middling modifications. soulforce is not even much of an advantage for psys since every class uses it as well for something. I think i would have really wished for some combined version of black and white voodoo, seekers get defense lvls without penalty and black voodoo (and the souls) are what set us apart from other casters. soulburn is effectively useless now except for twins AEU and 2 other classes can do the same thing.bakujirou said:

our ulti and tide spirit both need to last much longer than that since they are costing so much chi. its like too many of our skills are effectively nerfed and the others dont make much of a diff. show us psys some love!

i dont think the translation actually says what the trade-off is at? again, unless the psy is endgame with endgame SF the skill is not going to really provide much at the cost of any sort of defense. super glass-cannon status (not including pot + genie).
i will correct that the new ulti lasts 30 secs (i mistook that is was 8 secs as well), so EXCLUDING the new ulti psys still have sort of a meh-ishness unless you are absolutely maxed out on everything (but then again CS class must CS). i feel like we could also use a few more skills, not new versions but actual new skills. skill tree so small yo0 -
Er to the ppl complaing about the psy SF exchange ulti, I don't think you understand how SoV/SoSilence works. The chance to proc is based off your SS WHEN you cast the skill, as in if it has a 30% chance to proc, you buff soemone/yourself then take off all your armor to reduce you SO to minimum, it STILL has 30% chance to proc. The only skill this really hurts is SoR and SoStun But if it only lasts 30 secs, if you pop SoR/SoStun first then you're fine. That ulti really has next to no drawbacks because people don't use red tide and barely use soul burn anymore.full +12 SB, currently lv 105 105 1050

I agree psy should not be complaining about this skill it's definitely OP. Although it is obviously best for endgame psy... The doubled magic attack is more than I'd get from sage spark boost. Think about sage spark + this skill....seriously? - Wizard buff is NOT equal to half the psy buff and it only would be if damage output only took into account MAGIC ATTACK stat. There is also skill damage and weapon damage you should remember. Most of which wizzy have higher bonuses in their skills compared to psychic. Hardest hitting psy skill is still only 8 meters, base magic damage, 400% of weapon damage plus 10253. None of the other skills compare to that. Wizards will soon have 2 skills that do 750% or more weapon damage...lucky.
Note to wizzies: You already have the potential to hit highest of all the magic classes. BIDS is getting a boost as well (crazy). I'm guessing you can purify that debuff or just use IG and work around it. Like the psychic skill there is no chi cost and you are sacrificing something in return. This is a SUPER invigorate and a good skill imo. Be happy with what you're getting.
I still hope for psy to get a good debuff like maybe for defense levels? That'd be cool... but we didn't get one of course.
