This update is primarily to test some performance and stability changes in a more live and busy environment. There is still currently a planned update for later this week that will have other gameplay and polish fixes.
Items and Economy
Tenser's Floating Disc: Once again has proper timing of the animations and FX.
Performance and Graphics
Resolved a crash that could occur on shader model 2 video cards.
Resolved an issue that could cause projected FX to not draw entirely on the environment in some cases. This will be more reliable now.
Resolved an issue with knockdown powers that in some cases could reduce game server performance.
Resolved an issue with lighting that could draw black splotches in the alpha cutouts on some environmental decals.
User Interface
Changing characters once again gives the option to logout now.
Race Reroll: Fashion AND equipped armor no longer displays at the same time.
Race Reroll: Resolved an error that could randomly cause Race Reroll to say that it failed.
So no fix for the Warlock d/c everybody problem? or am I missing it? if not it really does need fixing before module 4 , it shuts down the client when only 4 or 5 other players are at the HE's I dread to think what it will be like with 20 players there .

Good news. Fighting Lostmauth has been a pain sometimes due to red zones not appearing or the whole game slowing down to a halt when the Dragon knocked people down. Can´t wait for the next update!
@Panderus: love your avatar. It looks meaner than the Armored Polar Bear...

I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 780 w/ 6GB. I pretty constantly have an issue where after I play awhile, the particle effects start to look clunky (sort of like minecraft but larger is the best example i can give.) I also get a white background on the character stat page and it takes longer for zones to redraw.
My question is, are these changes intended to fix or aimed at that issue (I dont believe I am the only one experiencing that from what I have heard).

These issues should hopefully be at least partially resolved with this update, we found some FX prioritization issues that needed some love.
Thanks, I think its an anniversary mount from Perfect World Online or something.
I will look into this. I have not heard any reports of it being fixed or an issue. We certainly have some of those machines in the office somewhere.
Yeah, it seems we have to disable cores to be able to get past the character select screen on preview. When we load a character it crashes. Please check out this thread:
I double checked and posted this in that thread as well:
We have a fix for this already and it will be on preview later this week. Thanks!
Great news , the new Dragon HE's that I have taken part in so far are great fun ( my personal favourite is the Whispering caverns one with the hands coming out of the floor) but the bug completely freezes the game or in very bad cases just shuts the entire client down , it's good to know you guys are on top of it.
@panderus what about game crashing when started by wine( LInux/Mac), r we forgoten?
Well... We don't technically support that. I would suggest getting in contact with other players who use that and see if they can help you out. I know STO has some players who were using Wine as well. Does Wine offer any support at all either I haven't used it for several years personally.
@pandarus, any clarification on warlock bugged weapon damage on a few dailies and at-will?? I posted it in SW official feedback but get no response from anyone.
@panderus, any chance it could get passed along to the person(s) in charge of race reroll that we really would love a way to actually retain our original appearance like it was stated multiple times before the reroll went up that we'd be able to? Some way of overriding the system to load the character exactly as-is and not touch it unless the player chooses to customize with the new options? I'd be interested in re-rolling my TR's stats since CHA is basically non-functional and INT is more useful than one would think on TR to get more STR and INT, but I am not interested in changing the appearance of a character I've had since day one of open beta where he was a remake of a character from closed beta. If it's not possible at all, maybe pass up the totem pole the idea of selling just a stat reroll. I'm fine with how I look, my name, my race, I just want to redo my stats.
And the TR animations are still messed up. Still the missing walk animation and the weird knee-bending thing when coming to a stop from running. Four patches now it's been in, reported it in-game already weeks ago and on the forums.
Largely inactive, playing Skyforge as Nai Calus.

Yeah i know u dont, but till mod3 evrything worked fine, so i wonder what the heck u did in base lvl of client, so its crashing like that... some gameguard-like ( feee) stuff or what?

Hopefully, the wine crash is caused by the same bug as the 8-core crash, and will be fixed simultaneously. Both appeared with the first Module 4 builds, and both occur while starting the game. Wine may be correctly replicating the program's new insanity.

So all these Fixes are for the software side how about the Hardware
1: is there any new server upgrades happening to Help Non US customers to play the Game better?
2: Is there any plan for an Eu server or are we stuck on this one for the foreseeable future?
3: is there any proper coding getting done to fix the heroic Encounter issues
- Drop rates / RNG issues
- Lag issues on Beholder and the new dragons one which will be swamped
I.e When I press Shift I expect to block not Die because your server thinks I'm not blocking due to packet/Lag issues induced by the encounter

Does the extra preset that has your current appearance not keep the old one? It uses the updated version of it?

Forgot to mention I got a crash rerolling a Halfelf to Sunelf after this patch, but only the first time, not the second time. Might therefore be random whether it crashes or not.
The crash was immediately after selecting race and clicking reroll, before getting to attribute reroll.

Do you see anything about that here.. do you even know if he is the Dev responsible for that. Seriously make a post in the bugs section.
Welp, that answers that then.

It's a little disconcerting that it wasn't on the team's radar given that thread has been there for quite awhile. : /
I made my character before the appearance update and am forced to take one of those appearances instead of my original.

Been getting this crash for around 2 weeks now. Had the Cryptic-Error thing submit a Crash Report each time.

I have found your crash report and am following up on making sure it is fixed if it is not already and getting it into the M4 release candidate.
Awesome. Glad to hear that.

Well, this is the before/after when I try to race reroll to the same one.
