Very interesting how they're modified the 4e powers to suit the MMO style of play. While Sly Flourish and Deft Strike are marginally canon (Deft Strike, in the pnp game, allows you to move 10ft before the attack, which is often used to get behind the opponent) Bloodbath is a level 5 Daily designed to put a good bleed on a single target. There doesn't appear to be a choice of what daily you get (at this point), but I like the 'feel' of how they've made the daily fit the trickster playstyle.

*Yawn* Sooo..... when are we gonna get feed real info besides yet another class vid that doesn't shed any new info that already hasn't been shown?

Real info on things like feats, how much customization allowable via powers (like whether or not classes are stuck in their specialized classes (i.e. warriors being pegioned holed as a sword and board class or clerics being stuck as a heal bot), healing mechanics, PvP, dungeon delves, public wilderness areas, traps and skills, guilds, ect ect ect?

For a game that is supposedly to be released soon (6 months is very soon) there is about zilch info given and Cryptic is highly non-forthcoming with info. Asking for blind faith from potential consumers is not the way to go about things. Your followers have been patient for a very very VERY long excruciating time and it's way past time to start to really give up some details.

Ah, long has it been since the days when we didn't know about new games until they were being marketed for release. Now that we know almost every facet of their development, it seems we always continue to expect to know more no matter how much is given that we'd not have known in ages past. Would make a neat paper on how "MMOs Changed the Public Demand for Inside Information in Game Development."

For the game not being in Beta yet, I'd say there's a ton of information out there, comparatively.

Agreed! Even the existence of these forums is a huge plus. I mean, look at something like Elder Scrolls Online, which is also in Alpha. No forums, and waaaaaay more hush hush.

    Actually no...

Many, many games have provided adequate info throughout they development cycle. ANet provided NUMEROUS blogs, dev articles, talks ect ect. City of Steam has dev diaries that Devs post and talk about their plans. SWTOR provided a weekly updates I believe. And all this was during the alpha stage and those are just naming a few. Cryptic has provided practically zero info. Especially when the game was "launch ready" a year ago.

The game IS beta ready. The "beta" stage is more like the open beta stage of said games when you pre-ordered which is the equivalent here, you pre-ordered other games though instead of pre-ordering NW which you can't cause it's free.

Wrong. Elder Scrolls has provided more info, more info in fact about the game mechanics than NW. There was a demo test for various fans, media, whatevers that they openly discussed their experiences and talk in detail about their experiences. We know how PvP will be, what classes there will be, game mechanics are discussed. Granted there is not much videos on the game but then again the vids they have shown are pretty much on par with any of NW vids. Real game info not some little tid bits of vids that don't at all show the game mechanics needs to be released. And really for the amount of hyped up speculation went round on the tweet and the only thing to come out of is the trickster rogue vid... that's pathetic.

And the forums here are bout utter worthlessness. There is practically ZERO correspondence with the Devs and bout the only time a staff chimes in is when they post some vid or news thingy. Everything in the forums has been speculation talk that really serves no purpose besides debates and community building that really have bout zero impact upon the game. In City of Steam forums the Devs actually respond and talk to the community. Here the consumers talk and a "take a number" treatment goes on by Cryptic.

Agreed! I remember way back when all you got was *maybe* a game trailer if you could find it and preview/review in a game magazine. There weren't online forums and websites where developers could, relatively cheaply, get information out there to their customer base. The internet has greatly changed how games are marketed, and I think the companies are still figuring out what works best for them.

On topic though, I'm always glad to see more content. Stuff like this video are encouraging simply because it shows the devs have something more concrete. There's a lot of development that goes into balancing classes, making them work, and (in a game like this) making them work together. The fact that they've got this figured out enough to say "this will be in the game" shows how much closer the game is to release.

Great, but not enough to swap from Wizard. And my "rogueish" character would be a Ranger when its out anyway. :D

I like how this rogue is made. Its all about the dodge and the player's own skill.Just how a real melee rogue should fight, not like every other game where a dagger wielding most of the time skinny looking elf one-shots everything, even heavy-armor wearers....HEAVY ARMOR !

Between the information released and the discussions on the forums I think there is plenty of information. But then I'm not one who needs to know every detail about a game before it is released. That would take away some of the fun of exploring and learning for myself. Patience is a great thing. Sure I'll enjoy every bit of information released but until then I will sit back and review over and over what has been released plus read more threads in the forums. Coming from pencil and paper I know that a good DM never gives away all the information before the adventure begins. The really good ones become Masters of creating anticipation and excitement. For me....... they have done an awesome job at that Since now, more than any other game I have ever played, I sit back eagerly waiting to see what will be revealed next and also talking to friends I know who enjoy these kind of games and getting them prepared as well. I guess you can say utilizing the time to gather a couple of adventuring parties together and preparing for the great adventures that will soon be available.

Keep up the great work. This adventurer is sitting back with intense anticipation for the finished product.

Hopefully, in the beta forums, the Dev's will be more involved with the community. No real point in coming around now, they would just get pumped for information again and again until they fled! :D

My FAQ lists all information confirmed released but I can't promise it will stay that way. And you can bet TESO will have changes in a mechanical level so announcing how it plays before any internal player testing (and trust me it does leak before it gets plugged so no outside company testing yet,) is foolish as all that information will be hurled back at them as "broken promises" if it is altered. Gamers don't realize that a lot of info on games wasn't even released before beta not too long ago, and Cryptic is not likely to say any large amount of details until January and the upcoming beta announcement, if that info is valid of course.

And I'm not mad, that rogue class is from a Facebook link earlier.
