The Claim Guild Leadership has been set back to 30 days across all platforms. This had been temporarily extended to accommodate players in Puerto Rico affected by the power losses due to Hurricane Maria.
this feature does not work on xbox. every time i claim leadership, it does not grant me leadership. a confirmation pops up but in the end, it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
I have been a Guild leader for a few years now and I am not sure I have ever seen a write up on how it exactly works TBH probably missed a patch note or thread on it.
how many days inactivity is normally the case before it kicks in? is it first in, first served for the R6 's? what happens if there is no R6?

30 days per rank.
After 30 days, rank 6 can claim, after 30 more rank5, etc...
I take it if there are multiple R6 they all get automatically moved up a notch?
No, it's not automatic, when the times comes (after relevant 30 days), the rank will have a button "claim leadership", the first who presses it will get bumped to rank 7 and button will be gone.

I don't think that's right. You can click the button if nobody of a higher rank has signed in in 30 days. So in a really dead guild, a rank 1 should be able to claim leadership if no rank 2+ has signed in in the last 30 days.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification.

And this is why I removed everyone from guild....

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

Right.. this seems suboptimal
Leader should be able to nominate which of the R6 gets it IMO

Well, IMO just put as rank 6 those that will inherit the guild "in worst case" and the rest are 5 and lower. IMO this is the only thing that rank 6 is for.

That is pretty much how I work it.. what if there are no R6 does that give a GL 60 days grace if they are absent or just push that button to the R5's after 30?
thanks for all the info and sorry if it is a bit off topic.. I haven't thought to clarify how this works before.

This true. I came back to game after long hiatus, guild was dead. I claimed leadership even though I was only rank 1. So renamed guild, gotta start over.
