An elite DC will lose 10 of 10 times to non-elite, just decent, CW. (And that DC will lose to Jerkface or Gerftylog or SteamRoller also. 10 of 10 times, lol). Well, some patches do change class abilities in such a way that stats which were pretty fine just no longer optimal. You seem to think that the right choice for the players that wish their chars to have optimal stats is just to level up & gear a new char every time the devs decide to change class abilities in serious way…

Its even not so much about righteousness, its about pretty much absense of any means to resist control except high wisdom (unlike TR, GWF, GF and HR) which is quite weak to say the least. Ya, CC is just one of the most funny stuff with clerics among many others. Leader class. The main ability - at least it is said so - for clerics is Wisdom, which gives among others control bonus.
